自衛官の急性音響性感音難聴20例24耳について, その回復過程を純音聴力検査にて観察した。症例は18歳から48歳までの男性であった。聴力が正常範囲まで回復した治癒群が5耳, 正常範囲までではないが回復の認められた回復群が13耳, 不変群が6耳であった。音響曝露から受診までの日数が長い症例は不変例が多かった。個々の周波数ごとの回復過程を観察すると, 4000Hzの回復が最も不良であり, 次いで8000Hz, 2000Hzの順であった。急性音響性感音難聴の予後は, 4000Hzの聴力レベルに着目し, それが徐々に回復していけば, 正常範囲まで回復する可能性が高く, 早期にプラトーに達し動かなくなると, 部分的回復にとどまると推測された。

In this study, the climate variation from the 12th century to the 16th century in the Japanese Islands is analyzed. As proxy data of the climate variation, annual rings and the records of cherry-blossom parties, Omiwatari and climate disasters are used. On the basis of these data, the climate variation is reconstructed in detail, and the relation between the climate variation and the social variation is examined. The main result is as follows: 1) The climate variations of the several decade cycle also prevailed during this period. 2) Especially, from the end of the 15th century to the beginning of the 16th century, there was a remarkable climate variation with much cooling around the winter. 3) During the cooling period, famines and riots occurred frequently and the more unstable social situation was brought about. 4) Through this period, the climate was warm till the first half of the 12th century, became low after the 13th century, and cooled down after the second half of the 15th century.

島村抱月の「審美的意識の性質を論ず」(一八九四・九~十二)について、「同情」概念を中心に展開されるこの論の論理構造を検討する。大西祝の示唆を受けつつ、ショーペンハウアーの「同情」理論に依拠し、カント・ヒューム・シラー・ハルトマンらを引用しながら展開されるその論理が、基本的には、いわゆる「現象即実在論」の枠組みに制約されながらも、当時のドイツ観念論受容の水準を大きく抜く精密さを備えており、一八九〇年代から一九一〇年代にかけての批評を準備する内実を孕んでいたこと等を指摘する。また、日本近代美学・文学史における位置にも言及、抱月が中心になって推進されることになる一九一〇年前後のいわゆる日本自然主義の文学運動における彼の自然主義文学理論との関連についても論述する。

会津の郷土料理、つと豆腐について、市販豆腐の包装方法と同様に包装し、5℃±5℃の冷蔵庫で保存してその保存性について検討を加えた。その結果、次のような知見を得た。1. 官能検査の結果、保存5日目に品質の劣化が認められた。2. つと豆腐の色は、保存により次第に黄味を帯びる傾向にあったが、品質劣化には大きな影響を与える因子とは考えられなかった。3. 食感は、官能検査結果では4日目から有意な差が認められたが、カードメーターによる硬さにおいて、差は認められなかった。4. つと豆腐浸漬液の吸光度は、日数の経過とともに大きな値を示し、日持ちの判定の一つの指標になるものと思われた。5. pHは、保存にともない低下する傾向を示した。

For this paper, research on the "interpretation" suggested by "-noda" was conducted using Najima (2007) as the theoretical framework. First, a test was conducted on scenes containing "-noka" (-"ndesuka") and "non-noka" ("-masuka") sentences targeting 33 foreign students, and simultaneously, a questionnaire survey was conducted on metacognition of "-noka" and "non-noka" sentences and on teaching methods used. Following this, teaching of "-noka" and "non-noka" sentences was executed using pictorial teaching materials and review exercises. In addition, a follow-up survey was conducted. In this paper, the results of the research are reported and analyzed.

Trapped neutrophil syndrome (TNS) is an autosomal recessive inherited neutropenia known in Border Collies since the 1990’s. Recently, the causative mutation has been identified in the canine VPS13B gene and a DNA-based diagnosis has now become available. The present paper describes clinical and clinico-pathologic findings in a Border Collie with TNS that was molecularly diagnosed for the first time in Japan. In a 10-week-old male Border Collie with microgenesis and symptoms related to recurrent infections, a hematological examination revealed severe leukopenia due to neutropenia, suggesting the dog to be affected by inherited neutropenic immunodeficiency. Direct DNA sequencing demonstrated that the dog was homozygous for the causative mutation of TNS and both its parents were heterozygous carriers. In addition, a simple and rapid polymerase chain reaction-based length polymorphism analysis coupled with microchip electrophoresis was developed for the genotyping of TNS. This assay could discriminate clearly all genotypes, suggesting that it was suitable for both individual diagnosis and large-scale surveys for prevention.

音声分析合成による鼻声の声質改善を目的とし,鼻声発声の分析を行っている.なお,本研究において,鼻声発声をノーズクリップを装着した状態での発声とし,異なるノーズクリップの装着位置で鼻声発声1・2とした.発声継続時間長が長めの鼻子音を収録し,鼻子音の発声区間での長時間平均スペクトルと,帯域分割した長時間平均スペクトルのパワーの時系列を観察・比較した.その結果,鼻声発声における鼻子音の発声区間は,通常発声に比べ630Hz以上の帯域でパワーが減衰すること,その帯域において,時間経過に伴いパワーが減衰することがわかった.また,鼻声発声することによって,通常発声で見られる400Hz付近の山が100〜200Hzに移動することがわかった.これらの結果から,鼻声発声1の周波数特性の傾向が通常発声と鼻声発声2のものの間にあると考えられる.

私たちはフェノール性水酸基への糖転移反応を効率的に触媒する新規酵素を得ることに成功した。本酵素、すなわちハイドロキノン配糖化酵素はα-アノマー選択的な配糖化反応を触媒した。さらに本酵素を用いる反応は、生成物である4-hydroxyphenyl-O-α-D-glucopyranosideを非常に高い収量で得ることができ、産業的な利用に十分なレベルを充たしていた。本酵素反応によりコウジ酸やカフェ酸をはじめ多くのフェノール化合物が配糖化されたがアルコールは配糖化されなかった。さらに私たちは本酵素反応により得られた配糖体の一種である4-hydroxyphenyl-O-α-D-glucopyranoside (α-アルブチン) の応用研究に取り組んだ。α-アルブチンはヒト細胞由来チロシナーゼを強力に阻害し、その阻害活性は構造異性体である4-hydroxyphenyl-O-α-D-glucopyranoside (アルブチン) よりも非常に高いものであった。私たちは数種類のα-アルブチン配糖体とアルブチン配糖体を酵素合成した。得られた配糖体のチロシナーゼ阻害活性の比較結果から、分子の大きさとベンゼン環周辺の静電ポテンシャルがハイドロキノン配糖体のヒトチロシナーゼ阻害作用に大きく影響を与えることが示唆された。さらにα-アルブチンのメラニン生合成に対する阻害効果についても検討を行った。α-アルブチンは細胞毒性を示さない濃度域においてヒトメラノーマ細胞やヒト皮膚3次元モデルのメラニン生成を濃度依存的に抑制した。上記の結果よりα-アルブチンは有効かつ安全な化粧品用美白素材であることが示唆された。

&emsp;Ever since the term stromatolith was first coined by Kalkowsky in 1908, research studies on stromatolites have continued for more than a century. This article reviews the study history of living and fossil stromatotelites. The history is divided into two parts by the discovery in 1961 by Logan of living stromatolites in Shark Bay, Western Australia, because this determined the subsequent main trend of studies on both living and fossil stromatolites. Major contributions during the last three decades include documentation of (1) a worldwide bloom of stromatolites in Proterozoic low-middle lateral shallow seas, and (2) oxygen-producing cyanobacterial activity related to stromatolites from the 1990s, resulting in various new aspects being clarified, which include <i>in-vitro</i> cultivation gradually revealing cyanobacterial calcification and dome-formation. Future studies will be directed towards reconciling morphological disparities and formation mechanisms among fossil, living, and cultured stromatolites.
