In our study, we try to develop new method for utilizing the essential oils extracted from cedar, cypress and todomatsu tree residues for control of human allergenicity of Japanese cedar pollinosis. Therefore, we evaluated dissociation constant (KD) of cedar pollen allergenic Cry j 1 by using the Biacore J system based on the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) principle before and after exposure to the different trees essential oils. We found that the KD value (2.20×10-10M) of Cry j 1 when it has been exposed to polluted air of NO2 and O3 is lower than those of Cry j 1 (1.35~2.45×10-9M) exposed to both of pollutant air (NO2 and O3) and the essential oils. It is suggested that the trees essential oils are valuable for allergenicity inhibition of cedar pollen allergenic Cry j 1.

本提案はデジタルデータ音楽の新しい聴き方を実現する調整可能なランダム選曲システム「neut」を提案する。「neut」のウィンドウ上には大きな円形のステージが配置され、その中を小さな円形のボールで表された楽曲が複数個浮遊している。再生ボタンを押された瞬間にステージの中心から最短の距離にあるボールが選択され楽曲の再生を開始する。また、ステージ上にはボールの運動範囲を限定するゾーンというまた別の円形を配置することができる。この選曲アルゴリズムとゾーンの位置や大きさの調整により、ユーザは楽曲の再生確率を調整することが可能になる。

本研究では,多様で表情豊かな歌声を合成可能にする歌声合成技術の構築を目指し,以下に示すの4つの成果を達成した.(1)オペラ・ポピュラー歌唱者25名による歌声500トラックから構成される歌声データベースの構築.(2)歌声の裏声・地声(声区)の生理的・音響的特徴の操作に基づく声区識別・変換手法の構築(3)オペラ歌唱固有の音響特徴の制御に基づくオペラ歌唱合成手法の構築.(4)歌手の個性を規定する音響特徴量の検討.これらの成果は,従来の歌声合成で実現できなかった豊かな声質,高度な歌唱技量に基づく歌唱スタイルを表現可能にするものである.

〔目的〕本研究の目的は,片脚着地動作時の前・後足部運動と膝関節外反運動の関係を明らかにすることである.〔対象〕対象は健常成人女性13名とした.〔方法〕課題動作は高さ30 cm台からの非利き脚での片脚着地動作とし,台より30cm前方に着地させ,片脚立位を保持させた.課題動作中の膝関節外反角度,前足部回内角度,後足部外反角度,アーチ高を算出し,膝関節外反角度と各足部角度,アーチ高との相関関係を調べた.〔結果〕片脚着地動作時の前足部回内運動と膝関節外反運動に有意な相関関係は認められなかった.一方,後足部外反運動と膝関節外反運動には有意な正の相関が認められた.〔結語〕片脚着地動作での膝関節外反運動を予防するためには,後足部外反運動を少なくすることが重要であることが示唆された.

As a teacher of biochemistry in a school of pharmacy, a basic subject in pharmacist education, I try to include applied topics such as the biochemical mechanisms of diseases and side effects of medicines in relation to basic knowledge of biochemistry for advanced subjects that students will learn in later years. In aging societies, many people visiting community pharmacies are elderly who tend to have health concerns other than diseases diagnosed by physicians. If asked, community pharmacists should be able to give advice on potential problems patients might have, in addition to giving explanations of medicines prescribed. Basic subjects covered in university pharmacy courses should be the most useful in such community settings.

The Chinese term "Wo Nu" (倭奴), literary meaning "Japanese Slaves", was used to refer to the Japanese Nation before Yuan Dynasty, and had grown into an equivalent of "Wo Kou", or "Japanese pirates", by the time of Yuan and Ming Dynasties. However, the term became more complicated in the context of Macao during Ming Dynasty: it included some half-merchant-half-pirate "Wo Kou" and more Japanese Christian exiles fleeing the crackdown of Catholicism back home; in addition, there were large numbers of slaves in the true sense of the word, purchased by the Portuguese from Kyushu, Japan. It is this last group of "Wo Nu" that draws the attention of the present essay, which seeks to clarify the meaning of the term by using Chinese, Japanese and Western materials and to justify the Ming Cantonese Government's judgments of the nature of the Wo Nu in Macao and its policies toward them.

良好な根管充填が完了した歯であっても歯冠側から根管内に漏洩が生じると,修復前には認めなかった根尖性歯周炎が発症する.この現象はコロナルリーケージと呼ばれており,修復の再治療が必要となる原因の一つである.最終修復までの仮封の期間や支台築造装着までの根管の汚染,修復後の二次う蝕等がコロナルリーケージに影響を及ぼす.根管充填がしっかり達成されていれば,根尖へ感染は波及しないわけではなく,修復後にも根尖に感染が生じる可能性がある.歯内療法においては当然のことであるが,修復処置においても根管の感染を意識した処置が必須である.

インスリン及びIGF-1の培養血管平滑筋細胞 (以下VSMCと略) に対する増殖効果及び細胞外基質のコラーゲン合成能とI型コラーゲンα1鎖の遺伝子発現に及ぼす影響を検討した. ブタの腹部大動脈より採取したVSMCに, インスリンを0, 16, 160nM, IGF-1を0, 1.31, 13.1nMの濃度で添加し, 細胞数・DNA合成能 ([3H]-thymidine) を, またインスリン0, 1,600, 16,000nMを加えて, 蛋白合成能 ([3H]-proline)・総コラーゲン蛋白合成能を調べた結果, 細胞数は1.4倍 (IGF-1) ~1.5倍 (インスリン) に, DNA合成能は3倍 (IGF-1) ~3.8倍 (インスリン) に, 蛋白合成能は1.8倍 (IGF-1) ~3倍 (インスリン) に濃度依存性に有意に増加した. 総コラーゲン蛋白合成は, インスリン16,000nM, IGF-113.1nMの濃度で, それぞれ26.5倍, 2.3倍に増加した. I型コラーゲンα1鎖mRNAは, IGF-1では濃度依存性に増大し, インスリンではIGF-1と比較して弱いが, 増大傾向を認めた. 以上, インスリンやIGF-1が, VSMCの増殖の情報伝達及び細胞外マトリックスの合成に密接に関連している可能性が示唆された.

A description and a discussion are given by the authors on a round shaped greenish coloring, seemingly caused by a decorative bronze disc on the squamal surface in the supraglabellar region of a male human skull from the Koura-site of the Earlier Yayoi-period together with an unnatural flatness of the bone surface in the supraasterional region on both sides of the same skull. According to the authors, these seem to have been caused by an incessant use, from an early age onward, of a headband with a copper disc fastened to it in front. This, being an unique instance among the Koura skulls, appears to indicate that the individual in question might have been of a special duty, presumably of a religious one.
