われわれは普段,無意識に他者の動作を模倣している.さらに,他者に模倣されることで相手によりよい印象を持つことが知られている.この被模倣による印象の向上効果は,手や足の動き,表情の変化,また瞳孔径の同期などで起きることが確認されている.一方,瞬目は映画鑑賞時やスピーチを聴くときに鑑賞者の間で同期することが知られており,瞬目においても模倣が生じることが推測されるが,実際に瞬目の模倣や被模倣の影響は調べられていない.そこで本研究では,他者の瞬目を模倣しているかどうか,そして瞬目の被模倣が模倣者の印象を改善するかどうかを調べた.実験では,ランダムに瞬目する画像を呈示し,画像の瞬目に対して参加者の模倣が生じるかどうかを解析した.また,参加者の瞬目に同期して瞬目する画像を呈示し,瞬目の被模倣が画像の印象に与える影響を調べた.結果,参加者は無意識に画像の瞬目と同期して瞬目をしており,さらに,参加者の瞬目を模倣した画像がより好感度が高いことがわかった.

Objectives: Stress management for human service professionals remains an international issue. Methods: We conducted a primary prevention program using Dohsa-hou designed to provide early-career nurses with an understanding of stress and physical relaxation skills that can be utilized to reduce negative and increase positive mood states. Results: A total of 56 nurses working at a general hospital in Japan participated in the program. As a result, negative mood states were significantly reduced at post-test from the intervention. Also, vigor as a positive mood state showed a marginal increase compared to pre-test. These findings were largely consistent with a previous study implementing Dohsa-hou movement tasks in a stress management program. Conclusions: Although there were some limitations, this study suggested that the stress management program using Dohsa-hou may be a useful approach for preventing burnout by promoting mood state regulation for nurses.

顔面の皮疹に対して紫雲膏, 太乙膏を外用していたところ, 激しい皮膚炎を生じた50歳の女性症例を報告した。皮膚炎はステロイド療法にて約2週間で略治し, 以後, 再発を認めていない。パッチテストの結果, 紫雲膏, 太乙膏, およびそれらの成分である紫根とミツロウで陽性反応を認めた。このことから, 自験例はこれらの外用剤によるアレルギー性接触皮膚炎と診断した。漢方外用薬による接触皮膚炎は少ないものの, 使用中に皮膚症状が悪化した場合はその外用剤による接触皮膚炎を疑う必要がある。

In terms related to mass spectrometry, “TIC” should be used as an abbreviation for “total ion current.” However, many mass spectrometrists use “TIC” as an abbreviation for “total ion chromatogram” while referring to “total ion current chromatogram,” which is incorrect. Another common misunderstanding related to abbreviations is the usage of “MCP” as an abbreviation for “multichannel plate,” which should be used for “microchannel plate.”

Clinical reports thus far indicate that patients with dissociative disorders exhibit cutaneous sensory symptoms. However, only few studies focused on the relationship between these symptoms and dissociation. Here, we investigated the relationships among cutaneous symptoms (Cutaneous9), somatoform dissociation (SDQ-20), and self-reported history of childhood abuse (CATS) in undergraduates (N=368). Exploratory factor analysis performed simultaneously on the scores of Cutaneous9 and SDQ-20 items, extracted four factors- “Somatic paralysis,” “Perceptual change,” “Cutaneous symptoms,” and “Urogenital symptoms and motor inhibition.” Analysis of variance demonstrated that the group with high CATS scores tends to have high “Somatic paralysis” and “Perceptual change” factor scores, supporting previous findings that these symptoms are relatively common in patients with pathological dissociation, and those with traumatic childhood experiences. These symptoms are considered to be similar to animal defensive reactions that are mediated by endogenous opioids. Moreover, items including “tingling,” “numbness,” and “tender to touch” in Cutaneous9 converged on the “Somatic paralysis” factor together with certain SDQ-20 items, suggesting that these cutaneous symptoms might be associated with pathological tendencies and traumatic childhood experiences.

本研究では,センサーや統計等を通じては獲得できない社会的事象の抽出と活用の可能性調査を目的として,犯罪情報を対象に Twitter 投稿の分析をおこなった.分析を通じ,(1) Twitter 上の犯罪関連投稿には,投稿者自身の犯罪の目撃や被害に関する投稿,公共・公的機関が発表した情報等を引用した投稿,ニュース記事の引用という3種類が存在すること,(2) それらの間で記述されている犯罪種別傾向の違いから,Twitter からのみ抽出できる犯罪情報が存在していること,が分かった.また,犯罪関連投稿を自動抽出する実験結果についても報告する.

Sarcomatous transformation of fibrous dysplasia (FD) is an extremely rare event. We report a case of low-grade central osteosarcoma (LGCO), which arose secondarily from FD of the mandible. A 35-year-old woman, who had regularly been followed up for a 19-year period for a diagnosis of FD, presented with a painful swelling in right mandibular body. On computed tomographic images, the right mental area was prominently expanded with the eroded cortex, and its inner part was entirely filled with an inhomogeneously enhanced lesion. Since a biopsy specimen taken from the anterior lesion was diagnosed to be LGCO, a segmental mandibulectomy and reconstruction with a fibula free flap was performed. There has been no sign of recurrence or metastasis as of 7 years after surgery. It is important to make a diagnosis and a treatment plan in patients with FD because malignant transformation of FD occurs rather infrequently.
