口腔内に摂り入れた食物からの味覚情報は、大脳皮質の第一次・第二次味覚野に伝えられて、味が知覚・認知されるだけではなく、意識にのぼらない形で自律神経を介して唾液分泌を始めとする消化器系への調節を引き起こす。それと同時に、大脳辺縁系に送られた味覚情報は快・不快の情動を生じ、その評価結果が摂食行動として表出される。このような味覚刺激に対する生体反応が味の質によって異なるのかという点を調べるため、自律神経の応答ならびに脳波による脳活動の解析を行って検討した。その結果、自律神経活動においては、唾液分泌促進効果のあるうま味刺激で副交感神経活動の上昇がみられたのに対し、一様に嫌われる苦味刺激では唾液分泌促進効果が低く、交感神経活動が上昇すること、ならびに副交感神経活動と唾液分泌量との間には正の相関があることが明らかとなり、副交感神経を亢進させるうま味などは他の消化器にも促進作用を及ぼすが、交感神経を亢進させる苦味は負の調節を行う可能性が示唆された。また、脳波から情動の基本的4感情、すなわち喜(満足感)、怒(ストレス)、哀(気落ち感)、楽(リラックス感)のレベルを解析した結果、甘味と酸味刺激中の満足感の上昇や苦味刺激中のストレス上昇とリラックス感低下など、味質により異なる感情の変化パターンが観察され、この方法を用いて刺激に対する情動変化の客観的把握が可能となることが示唆されたので、本稿で紹介する。

Since ancient times in Europe, stories have been told about heroes, gods and saints who fought with dragons. While many of them faced monsters and killed them, there are some stories of heroes and heroines who were swallowed by a dragon, killed it from inside, and emerged unhurt from its body. Some of the pictures and legends from the ancient or medieval times tell about those dragon-slayers. For example, according to a picture on a vase of the 5th century B.C., the famous Greek hero Jason was swallowed apparently by a dragon and came out again of its mouth. A legend also tells that the Irish hero Fionn Mac Cumhail entered the body of a dragon and killed it from inside. We can also find the similar motif in the medieval paintings and the legend of St. Margaret. The meaning of those pictures and legends seems difficult to understand. I analyzed the motif of the "swallowing dragon" by applying it to the scheme of rites de passage. According to Arnold van Gennep, the rites of passage consist of three steps-separation, transition, and incorporation. It is also said that they symbolize the death and rebirth of a person who moves from one state to another. I viewed that the motif of the "swallowing dragon" represents the death and rebirth at the rites of passage of heroes or saints. At the beginning of the article, the pictures and stories of the "swallowing dragon" are presented. After that, I will compare the European "swallowing dragon" stories with the notion of the "swallowing animals" in other countries (they appear at the initiation of Siberian and Eskimo shamans as well as the people of New Guinea) and examine the analogy between them. Then, I will apply the Genneps schema to "swallowing dragon" stories and consider whether we can count them among the rites of passage. With the results from those studies, I will clarify the notion of death and rebirth in the European pictures, myths and legends.

The purpose of this study is to clarify of spatial consciousness reflected on dancehall in modern Japan.<br> Through several drawings of the project of dancehall at Hotel Lake Biwa constructed by The Policy of Tourist Industry during1930s, there are some conflicts and reflections at the points of various appearances and plans on design process. The beginning of this project, it was designed as a dancehall under the policy of promotion of dancing by Shiga Prefecture. A few years later, suppression of dancing by the police administration had caused some changes from dancehall to multi-purpose hall on design process.

1.我が国におけるチョウセンゴヨウの分布を既存資料に基づき整理し,北東アジア大陸部での分布と比較してその特徴を明らかにした.2.水平分布は本州中部地方にほぼ限られ,四国に僅かに隔離分布する.垂直分布は,標商1800m以上の亜高山帯に分布地点の73%が集中し,1800m以下の山地帯には少ない.3.同じような水平分布範囲を示すシラベやトウヒと比較して産地数はかなり少ない.また,ほとんど優占林を作らず,分布しても分布量は少ない.4.北東アジア大陸部では,チョウセンゴヨウは沿海州から中国東北地方,朝鮮半島北部にかけての広い範囲で量的に多く分布し,優占林を形成し,落葉広葉樹と混交してチョウセンゴヨウ-落葉広葉樹混交林を作るとともに,垂直分布の上からは常緑針葉樹林帯の下部の山地帯が分布の中心となってしいる.5.北東アジア大陸部での分布と比較すると,我が国のチョウセンゴヨウは,垂直分布域の下部を山地帯性の樹種に占拠された形になっており,そこでは分布が消えるか,ごく局限された状態で,亜高山域に追い上げられた形となっている.

PCリサイクル法に伴い,ネットオークションで個人や業者が中古PCを売る割合が増えていく中で,データの削除方法を知らないままにネットオークションにノートPCやHDDを売るという行為は個人情報漏えいなどにつながる大変危険な行為といえる.ここではオークションに実際に出品している業者を対象にアンケート調査し,復元ソフトで復元できないようにきちんと抹消するようにしているか確かめた.また実際にPCやHDDを購入し実験を行い,実際にデータが復元できるPCがあることを確認した.あわせて,オークションサイト運営者に対し,PC出品者にデータの抹消を指導するよう提言を行った.The PC recycle law leads increase of selling second hand PCs in Internet auction system. It is dangerous to sell note PCs or HDDs in the Internet auction system without understanding the proper method of deleting data, because there is the possibility of the leakage of individual information etc. We made the survey on the status of deleting data in PC exhibited by a company to sell the second hand PCs in the auction site. In addition, after buying the PCs from the auction site, we confirm actually that it is possible to recover the data from the PCs. Moreover, we proposed auction site manager to give the caution on the necessity to delete the data properly to the PC exhibitor of the auction site.

トリュフ(Tuber melanosporum)は子実体が発生する条件が整うとその地上部には"ブリュレ(焼け跡地)"と呼ばれる草の生えないパッチが観察されるようになる。同様の抑草現象は野生種のハナホウキタケ、ニンギョウタケなどにも観察され、化学物質を放出することにより現象を発現していることが考えられる。しかし、キノコのアレロパシーを利用した雑草抑制の試みはほとんどなされておらず、作用成分もほとんど明らかにされていない。そこで、キノコ子実体のアレロパシー活性を昨年に引き続きサンドイッチ法を用いて検定した。また、サンドイッチ法により、活性が強かったブナシメジ(Hipsizigus marmoreus)については、菌体が多く含まれる廃菌床についても成長阻害活性を調査した。
