幼い子供を対象とする犯罪から子供たちを守るため、CGやVR技術を用い、地域全体の監視性と関心を高め、犯罪の起こり難い環境を作り、もし犯罪に巻き込まれた時には、子供たち自身の力で危機的な状況から、インタラクティブなゲーム感覚のシミュレーション装置による繰り返し訓練を行う事によって危機回避が出来る様にし、大切な子供たちの命を守る事に役立てようと試みた。研究代表自身の子供たちの通う小学校の校長・副校長あるいはPTAや地域の子ども会や町会など、子供を取り囲む各々の役割を持つ組織や個人の方たちを取材し、犯罪が起こりそうな特有な環境が判明した。神社や裏路地など数点に絞り実地調査を行った。また、彼らの意見から、ゲームをするように未就学の幼児でも簡単に操作が可能で、なお且つのめり込む様に興味を抱かせる環境を提供するためには、パソコンの画面だけではなく、もっと直感的なインターフェースが必要であることが判明した。最も親しみがあって実体のあるインターフェースとして玩具を取り上げることとした。ミニチュア模型のジオラマの様な、町や郊外の風景を再現し神社や空き地を配置して通学路を作成した。レールの上を動く車体の先端に取り付けた超小型の車載ビデオカメラの映像(被体験者の目線)に、インタラクティブに襲い掛かる犯罪者の映像を合成し、被体験者は足踏みマットの上を大きな声を張り上げながらダッシュして逃走を試みる。走る速さ(足踏みの回数/秒)と、マイクロフォンから入力された声の大きさ(dB)から、犯罪者から逃げ切れたかを判定する。それによって犯罪の起こり易い場所の理解と、犯罪から身を守るための対処行動の方法を身に着けてゆく。装置自体は研究期間内に完成させることが出来、実験の反響から装置の重要性は確認された。今後は実験を繰り返し行って行き、併せて普及に努める。

The purpose of this paper is to examine mail-coach services during the British Industrial Revolution and to consider their role in the integration of regional economies. The first section of the paper investigates postal services before the introduction of mail coaches in 1784. Since the end of the 17th century, when a wider market began to emerge, the post had been playing an important role in transmitting business correspondence and bills to distant places, thus enabling companies to expand the sphere of their activities nationwide. The quality of postal services was, however, quite poor because their operations were monopolized by the government. The second section of the paper examines the development of the mail-coach network and changes in postal services. Examination of manuscripts of the General Post Office and commercial directories indicate that a close-knit and extensive network was established by the 1820s and that speed, reliability, and safety of the postal services were substantially improved. In conclusion, the significance of mail-coach services was that by transmitting intelligence and money, difficulties posed by time and distance were overcome and the basis for the integration of regional economies was formed. It is noteworthy that the growth of the banking system paralleled the development of mail-coach services. Mail coaches also helped the social and cultural integration of regions as a medium for communication.

今日のコンピュータ音楽においては,本来の人間の演奏に内在するずれやゆらぎといった「グルーヴ感」を表現することに困難がある.本研究では,プロのドラマーが実際に演奏したドラム演奏を収録した音源を解析することにより,演奏に内在するグルーヴ感の定量的評価を行い,グルーヴ感を持った「人間らしい」演奏を自動生成するシステムの構築を目指す.本稿においては,演奏中のハイハットシンバルの打点時刻から仮想的なメトロノームの位置を定め,その仮想メトロノームに対する各楽器の打点のずれと打点音量を解析した.その結果,グルーヴ感の種類によって打点のずれの標準偏差や打点音量の平均値に特に大きな差が生じることがわかった.

In recent years, railway system is attracting attention in terms of energy efficiency and environment friendliness. Rail of railway is one of the most important elements in constructing railway system. Railheads are subjected to severe contact with wheels during repeated passage of vehicles. As a results of severe contact with wheels, wear of rail or rail defect have been occurred on railheads. Rail profile will be changed due to wear development. Worn profiles of rail have changed complexity in each section because the condition of wheel/rail contact has changed gradually, according to the running condition of vehicle and track geometry condition. Therefore, it is very important to predict the worn profiles of rail based on the analysis of vehicle dynamics. Previously, we constructed the prototyped model for predicting worn profiles of rail with Simpack. However, the validation of this model has not been verified. In this study, we conducted the wear experiments by use of full-scaled wheel/rail rolling contact equipment to distinct the coefficient of wear and to measure the worn profiles for validating the prediction model. Moreover, we analyzed the worn profile of rail in the same contact condition with the wear experiments. Finally, we considered the results of wear depth and the contact patch of wheel/rail discs of this equipment in analysis and experiments. As a result of the analyses and experiment, the analytical model was confirmed being valid to predict worn profile of rail.

A 10-year-old castrated Miniature Dachshund with hypercalcemia showed normal serum levels of parathyroid hormone (PTH-intact) and parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHrP). Computed tomography revealed no mass formations in the cervical area. However, serum concentration of 1α,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (1,25(OH)2D) was increased and a small nodule in the right thyroid gland was detected by using ultrasound. Therefore, the right total thyroidectomy was carried out. The resected mass was histopathologically diagnosed as a parathyroid adenoma. The patient showed no complications and clinical signs after surgery, and the serum calcium level decreased to the normal range. This case report suggests that the measurement of serum 1,25(OH)2D can be useful for finding out canine parathyroid adenoma patients with hypercalcemia, even when their serum PTH-intact and PTHrP levels are within the normal range.

鼻腔内の未分化癌 (症例1)、移行癌 (症例2) と診断された犬2例に対し、パクリタキセル/白金製剤併用の非選択的動注化学療法を行った。それぞれの投与量は全身化学療法の推奨量の25%から35.5%に減量し、総頚動脈から注入した。症例1は著しい腫瘍の減容積が得られたが、治療後の生存期間は53日であった。症例2においても約3カ月間部分寛解が得られたが、治療後の生存期間は126日であった。本療法による副作用は、症例1ではみられず、症例2においても軽度であった。本報告における非選択的動注化学療法は、手技が容易かつ簡便であり、投薬量の減量により安全に実施し得た。本療法は、その間隔、回数および薬剤の投与量に課題が残るものの、犬の鼻腔内悪性腫瘍に対し、緩和効果が得られる可能性が示唆された。

Gliomas are common intracranial neoplasias in dogs. However, the underlying pathogenic mechanisms remain unclear. In humans, isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (IDH2) is often mutated in gliomas. Although almost human IDH2 mutations have been identified at the Arg172 codon, few studies have reported structural, functional, or mutational information for canine IDH2. In this study, we cloned the full-length canine IDH2 (cIDH2) cDNA and substituted wild type Arg174 (cIDH2 WT: corresponding to R172 of human IDH2) with Lys (cIDH2 R174K). The cIDH2 WT and R174K proteins were overexpressed in HeLa cells, and their presence was confirmed using an anti-human IDH2-WT mAb (clone: KrMab-3) and an anti-IDH2-R172K mAb (clone: KMab-1). The IDH2 activity between cIDH2 WT and cIDH2 R174K transfectants was compared by measuring the production of NADH and NADPH. NADPH production was lower for cIDH2 R174K than that for cIDH2 WT transfectants. Finally, we detected increased expression of hypoxia inducible factor-1 alpha (HIF-1α) in cIDH2 R174K transfectants. This indicates that mutations at R174 can potentially induce carcinogenesis in canine somatic cells.

本研究は都市での住民による健康な地域づくり活動を取り上げ,活動を担っている住民のエンパワメントの過程及びコミュニティの生成過程を抽出することを目的とした.その上で健康な地域づくり活動による公共性形成の可能性を考察した.調査協力者は2つのグループのボランティ14人であり,半構造化面接によりデータを収集し,修正版グラウンデッド・セオリーにより分析した.その結果,担い手のエンパワメント過程では〈地域の風景の存在〉,〈内なる対話〉,〈他者との対話〉,〈地域とつながる自己像の獲得〉のカテゴリーが得られた.他方,コミュニティの生成過程として〈他者との対話〉,〈地域のまなざしの醸成〉,〈地域のアクチュアリティの深化〉,〈地域の解決力の形成〉が抽出された.これらの2つの過程は〈他者との対話〉を結節として循環していた.またこのようなエンパワメントされた地域づくり活動は,縁側機能,対話,協働,交流を基軸にして小さな公共性を形成する活動として位置付けられる可能性が示唆された.

家族介護者支援が制度化されていない日本において、家族介護者支援に関する公的なサービスを探すと、それは介護保険法における「地域支援事業」の中の任意事業の1つである「家族介護支援」である。本論文では、まず日本における家族介護者の現状と家族介護者支援の必要性についてまとめ、介護保険制度成立以前の家族介護者支援と介護保険制度における家族介護者支援の変遷をたどり、今後の家族介護者支援について考察している。地域支援事業による家族介護者支援は、内容的には介護保険制度成立以前の特別対策からの流れをくみながら、現在の介護保険法における地域支援事業の中の任意事業の1つ「家族介護支援事業」として行われてきており、その実施は現在に至るまで「介護用品の支給」を除けば低率の状態が続いている。そもそも介護保険法は要介護者を主対象とした制度であり、介護者支援の先進国の「介護者法」のように家族介護者を主対象とする法制度が必要であり、家族介護者の生活をトータルで支援するための視点からの制度構築が求められている。

昭和二七年から二九年にかけての菊田一夫『君の名は』のブームについて、映画のキャンペーンとロケの三事例を検討する。主人公二人の全国行脚は、それを演じた俳優たちの現前に注目すると、同時期に行われた昭和天皇の戦後巡幸と寓喩的関係にあることがわかる。俳優という人格を通じて作品の内外を連絡することで、典型的なメロドラマに見える『君の名は』にも、戦後日本を枠づけるという意味で国民国家を強化する側面が見出される。
