CanSat is a fake artificial satellite to learn a coordinated operation with various subsystems which makes up an integrated satellite system. In order to apply the CanSat to an actual curriculum to be invoked at Tokuyama College in 2017, a prototype CanSat is developed in 2016. The CanSat has basic bus systems including, power, structure, communication, thermal control, attitude control and data handling systems. In this paper, we introduce the basic function of this CanSat and discuss the prospective application to the actual engineering design education.

本研究は, 平成3年と13年の事業所・企業統計調査から得られる本所支所間の管轄/被管轄関係のデータを用いて企業の業務ネットワークの空間構造を明らかにした. さらに, 得られた業務ネットワークと各管轄関係の下で雇用されている従業者数について分析を行い, 全国企業の従業者の顧客管理能力について経年比較を行った. その結果, 全国企業の本社は東京周辺の都市では減少する一方で, 東京都内に回帰する傾向にあることが明らかとなった. さらに全国企業の従業者の顧客管理能力については, 同一の支社機能水準で比較した場合, 平成13年の方が全国企業の従業者1人当たりの顧客管理能力が高くなる傾向にあることが明らかとなった.

[Purpose] Untreated early-onset scoliosis may eventually progress to more than 90° after growth, cause severe health problems, and increase chance of mortality. Therefore, surgical intervention is often indicated prior to the development of a life-threatening deformity. This case report aims to reveal how a 76-year-old male patient with curves exceeding 110° is functioning with minimal difficulty. [Subject and Methods] The patient, who has never had surgical intervention for scoliosis, can perform his everyday activities. His curves were 111° thoracic and 118° lumbar when he presented at the author’s office in January 2015. [Results] The patient reported that he rarely needs a physician and participates in endurance sports like jogging. Despite this, the patient recognizes his restrictive ventilation disorder (shortness of breath) when he is inactive. The patient complained of shortness of breath and cosmetic concerns. [Conclusion] The current guidelines indicate that early-onset scoliosis should be operated at a young age; however, this protocol is not supported by high-quality evidence. Notably, patients with curvatures exceeding 100° after puberty may have a reasonable quality of life when they lead an active life with regular participation in endurance sports and physical rehabilitation.

ゲーム音楽は,使用される場面に相応しい楽曲か否かが重要となるが,「場面に相応しい楽曲が有するべき音楽的特徴」 は未だにまとめられていない.そこで本研究では,一定の歴史と人気があるゲームシリーズの音楽を場面ごとに分類し,共通する音楽的特徴を 「場面に相応しい音楽が有するべき特徴」 として抽出した.その抽出結果をもとに,原曲データと場面名を入力することで,入力された場面に相応しい楽曲となるよう原曲データの各種音楽的要素の値を変更して出力する自動編曲ソフトウェア 《SYGMA》 を制作した.It is important for video game music to be appropriate to a game scene; however, features that appropriate game music should possess are typically poorly organized. This study classifies music used in popular games according to game scenes, and determines the common features that the game music should have for a scene. Accordingly, <<SYGMA>>, automatic arrangement software, is developed, which changes input music data into more appropriate music for a particular scene.

本稿では情報数理教育を対象として,インタラクティブなコンテンツに対する電子教材の試作を検討する.具体的にはRSA暗号に対するインタラクティブな教育コンテンツを作成し,評価を行う.このとき,マルチプラットフォーム化を念頭におき,コンテンツはHTML,CSS,JavaScriptのみを使用して構築する.数式の表示はMathJaxにより行う.さらにPhoneGapを用いてマルチプラットフォームに対応可能なアプリ化を検討する.

日本人がユダヤ問題と遭遇した最初の機会は、日露戦争のときであった。この戦争において、国内のユダヤ人迫害を強めるロシア帝国の敗北を望むアメリカのユダヤ系銀行家ジャコブ・シフは日本の戦債募集に協力した。しかし、日本、ユダヤ双方の関心が本格的に高まり、相互のアプローチが試みられるには第一次大戦まで待たなければならない。1917年11月イギリス政府はバルフォア宣言を発出、ユダヤ人のナショナル・ホームのパレスチナ建設に賛意を表明した。翌年日本政府もこれにならった。一方ロシア革命の結果、多くの難民が満州の各地に流入し、革命に干渉するシベリアの日本軍と接触、これを機に反ユダヤ文献が多数日本国内へ持ち込まれることとなる。1920年から21年にかけて世界シオニスト機構が東アジアにミッションを送るのは、これまで軽視されてきたオーストラリア、アジアのユダヤ人社会に対し、シオニズムを広め、あわせてパレスチナのナショナル・ホーム建設のための資金を募ることにあった。同時にシベリア出兵後ユダヤ問題の重要性を認識した日本の陸軍省は、参謀本部の将校をパレスチナ、ヨーロッパへ派遣し、事情調査にあたらせたのである。極東とりわけ上海のシオニストは日本の影響力を重視したが、日本がユダヤ問題に真剣に取り組むのは、むしろ1930年代に入り、満州事変、満州国の建国、日本の国際連盟脱退と続く日本の国際的孤立、さらには満州国の財政状態の悪化から国際的ユダヤ世論とりわけアメリカのユダヤ人の影響力に活路を求めようとし、一方のユダヤ側もナチス・ドイツの登場後のユダヤ難民の救済のため、日本に接近する必要に迫られたことに端を発する。

The groundwater of the Mobara gasfield in Boso peninsula, eastern Japan, contains considerable amount, around 100 mg/L, of iodine besides dissolved methane. Twelve groundwater samples from gas-producing wells to the aquifer within the Kazusa Group in Mobara and Naruto districts have been analyzed for iodine, pH, Eh, HCO3-, NH4+, SiO2(aq), δD, δ18O, δ13CCH4 and seventeen elements. There is a good correlation between the concentrations of the dissolved elements to those in marine algae. The principal source of the iodine is believed to be algae buried in the sediments and the iodine has been discharged to the porewater during decomposition of the tissue.The molar ratio of I-/Cl- in the groundwater increases from 1.0×103 to 2.2×103 with changing the depth from 2000 to 1000 meters below the surface and turns to decrease from 2.2×103 to 1.8×103 with going up from 1000 to 500 meters. This tendency may be caused by the variation of buried organisms due to changing the sedimentary environment. The observed variation in the ratio indicates that the iodine discharged in the pore fluid did not migrate significantly after the deposition of the formation.

Rhenium (Re) is used as an additive in several alloys, such as nickel-based superalloys for jet engine turbine blades, platinum catalysts for oil refining, and thermocouples used at ultra-high temperature, in order to improve strength and stability at high temperature. Due to the rare and unevenly distributed nature of Re, there is risk of supply disruption owing to supply shortage and the rapid increase in Re price. To minimize the risk of a supply disruption, processes for recycling Re from Re-containing alloys and catalysts have been developed. In this article, we review characteristics of Re-containing materials and the current status of Re recycling; we also introduce some recent recycling technologies for recovering Re from various scraps.

Background:Although diuretic resistance leading to residual congestion is a known predictor of a poorer heart failure (HF) prognosis, better therapeutic strategies for effective and safe decongestion have not been established.Methods and Results:In this study, 81 HF patients with fluid retention (despite taking ≥40 mg/day furosemide (FUR)), with an estimated glomerular filtration rate <45 mL/min/1.73 m2, were randomized into 2 groups and administered either ≤15 mg/day additive tolvaptan (TLV) or ≤40 mg/day increased FUR for 7 days. Changes in urine volume between baseline and mean urine volume during treatment were significantly higher in the TLV than FUR group (P=0.0003). Although there was no significant decrease in body weight or improved signs and symptoms of congestion between the 2 groups, the increase in serum creatinine on Day 7 from baseline was significantly smaller in the TLV than FUR group (P=0.038). Multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that additive TLV (odds ratio 0.157, 95% confidence interval 0.043–0.605, P=0.001) was an independent clinical factor for improved renal function during treatment compared with increased FUR.Conclusions:In HF patients with residual congestion and renal dysfunction refractory to standard therapy, additive TLV increased urine volume without further renal impairment compared with patients who received an increased dose of FUR.

大規模な法律事務所において必要となる法情報の「収集」,「管理」および「提供」の現状と課題について,情報共有を統括するロー・ライブラリアンの視点から考察する。イントラネット上に開設した,法情報,知識,ノウハウをデータベース化したポータルサイト「Law Librarianの部屋」の内容を,守秘義務,案件間の情報遮断に十分配慮しながら充実させ,よりユーザーフレンドリーなものに発展させるためには,データベースの運営者と利用者の連携が欠かせない。また昨今の海外案件の増加に伴い,諸外国の法制度等の情報の重要性も高まっており,これらの情報を充実させることが直近の課題である。

俵浩三の指摘により,牧野植物図鑑以外に村越三千男の一連の植物図鑑が存在していたことが明らかにされた。牧野富太郎著とされている「日本植物図鑑」は,村越の「植物図鑑」を改訂したものであるという指摘を確認するために,一連の村越図鑑と牧野図鑑を比較した。牧野富太郎著「日本植物図鑑」の図の約半分は村越の「植物図鑑」のものであり,この図鑑は牧野の著作物とは言えないものであった。この図鑑に牧野が追加した図の一部は,その後の「牧野日本植物図鑑」にも使われていた。一方,村越三千男は少なくとも三度に渡り植物図鑑を編纂している。明治の初等中等学校の理科教育は自然観察を主体としたものであり,その後,大正,昭和初期において村越の図鑑が理科教育に残した功績は正しく評価されるべきである。
