近年では「公共政策バッシング」と呼ぶべき報道がしばしば行われている.本研究では,公共事業に対するバッシング報道の一例として,豊洲市場移転問題に関する報道を取り上げる.当該事業に関する批判が高まった後,批判の根拠である「豊洲市場の危険性」が専門家により否定されたにも関わらず,批判は継続されたが,この際の論調の(部分的変更を伴う)選択過程の分析を行った.テレビの情報番組及び新聞の報道内容に関する定量的データの分析から,いずれのメディアにおいても「危険性から手続的瑕疵へと論点を移動させた上での批判の継続」という論調選択が一定程度行われていることが示された.またこの過程に関する認知的不協和理論に基づく検討の結果,この論調選択が認知的不協和の低減プロセスとして現出している可能性が示唆された.

葛飾北斎画・編、藤間新三郎補正の歌舞伎舞踊(所作事)の稽古本。中本1冊。墨摺り。文化12年(1815)夏、江戸・鶴屋金助板。絵師署名(本文末)「かつしかおやぢ筆」。7代目団十郞(三升)と3代目坂東三津五郎(秀佳)の序を添える。秀佳の序に「後世の令利を、ぐつと呑込蛇山の主人、画工と謀て踊独稽古の小冊を編、師の影を踏と教る躍かな、と故人の秀吟に引替、学ずして其振を覚る事」云々とある。「蛇山の主人」とは藤間新三郎と推定されるが、その決断によって、踊りの振りを図示した本書が刊行されたという。収めるところは所作事4番「登り夜舟」、「気やぼうすどん」(積恋雪関戸)、「悪玉おどり」、「団十郞冷水売」で、後編に「源太」「半田稲荷」「おかめ」「道成寺みちゆき」の4番を収める予定であったが、成らなかった。北斎の絵は、振りの説明、さらに長唄の文句を加えつつ、踊りの所作を連続的に描いたもので、踊り手が手足を引き動かすのを表すために太線を使用し、足の伸び縮みや身のひねりがよく分かるように肌の露わな姿に描くなど工夫を加えている。(鈴木淳)(2017.2)

Specimens of the genus Eucorydia Hebard, 1929 from Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, were compared with eight closely similar congeners: E. aenea (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1865), E. dasytoides (Walker, 1868), E. yunnanensis Woo, Guo, and Feng, 1986, E. pilosa Qiu, Che, and Wang, 2017, E. guilinensis Qiu, Che, and Wang, 2017, E. tangi Qiu, Che, and Wang, 2017, E. linglong Qiu, Che, and Wang, 2017, and E. tokaraensis Yanagisawa, Sakamaki, and Shimano, 2020, and turned out to be a different species from eight congeners. This species from Thailand is characterized by the specific male genitalia shape: right phallomere 2 (R2) slightly elongated, the basal left area of R2 forming a triangular protrusion, and the basal half of left phallomere 7 (L7) protruded to the left with long spatulate distal half and with a beak-like apex. This species is also characterized by the tegmina containing three orange markings in the middle, and with a pair of orange markings at its base. Based on the above, this species is described as a new species, Eucorydia asahinai sp. nov.

学会誌の出版事業は簡単ではない。作業を国際的な大手出版社に委託する学会や研究機関は後を絶たない。大手出版社の方が,使いやすい査読システム,国際的な宣伝戦略,そして何よりインパクトファクターを上げるノウハウなど,メリットが大きくみえる。しかし,委託の交渉は容易ではない。調べてみたら,著作権や法的な責任体制において学会側が不利だった,という場合も多いはずだ。その実例が,筆者が所属する国際メタボロミクス学会である。学会誌における不利な条件を改善しようと出版社と交渉を続けてきたが,合意に至らなかった。そして現在,新規に学会誌を創刊する道を選んでいる。その事例をもとに,国内学会が出版事業を委託する際の要点を紹介し,J-STAGEの利点を確認する。

Pneumonia is the fourth leading cause of death despite the availability of potent new antimicrobials in Japan. Aspiration of oropharyngeal bacterial pathogens to the lower respiratory tract is one of the most important risk factors for pneumonia. Impairments in swallowing and cough reflexes among disabled older persons, e.g., related to cerebrovascular disease, increase the risk of pneumonia. Thus, strategies to reduce the volumes and pathogenicity of aspirated material should be pursued. Since both swallowing and cough reflexes are mediated by endogenous substance P contained in the vagal and glossopharyngeal nerves, pharmacologic therapy using angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, which decrease substance P catabolism, can improve both reflexes and result in the lowering of the risk of pneumonia. Similarly, since the production of substance P is regulated by dopaminergic neurons in the cerebral basal ganglia, treatment with dopamine analogs or potentiating drugs such as amantadine can reduce the incidence of pneumonia. Furthermore, since mortality from infections correlates with cutaneous anergy, interventions that reverse these age-associated changes in the immune system are also effective. The main theme of this review is to discuss how pneumonia develops in disabled older people and to suggest preventive strategies that may reduce the incidence of pneumonia among these subjects.

The graduate schools in Japan have been expanding since 1990's. In this paper, we focused on the doctoral courses of humanities & social sciences which have been limited in research and analysis as compared with natural sciences and analyzed the employment qualifications in the academic market. To put it concretely, we conducted quantitative analysis of application qualifications by using the data of JREC-IN (Japan Research Career Information Network). Through this analysis, we 1) analyzed the employment situation of doctoral students in humanities & social sciences, 2) investigated the qualifications and employability expected in the academic market, and 3) extracted the prospective problems of the doctoral education in humanities & social sciences.
