This paper aims to clarify ‘revised sectarianism’ substantially by analysing the ‘political party support structure’ based on the poll that our research team conducted in Iraq in October 2011. Based on the logit model on the survey data of Iraqi citizens, the following four points became clear. First, the sectarian tendency in party support became relatively clear in analysing macro data such as the results of elections. Second, on the other hand, it became clear that the tendency toward sectarianism undoubtedly varied across sectarian groups when we analysed the micro data of the poll; Sunni voters, in particular, were less subject to sectarian factors in supporting their party. Third, considerably different policies were supported by the voters who supported the same sectarian and ethnic parties. On the other hand, supporters of both the Shi’ite and Sunni parties often showed similarity in terms of policy preferences. Fourth, as the majority of voters tend not to express support for a political party, the main Iraqi parties are losing their support. These four discoveries demonstrate that it is inappropriate to analyse Iraqi politics based on sectarian and ethnic factors alone, and that ideology and policy orientation can also play a significant role.

テレビ放送技術分野で久しくその成果が期待されていたビデオ・テープ・レコーダは, 1956年4月アメリカのAmpex社でその実用化が発表され, デモンストレイションの結果は全くスタジオ番組の画像と変らない良質の結果が得られたので, 各国テレビ放送事業者間に一大センセイションを巻き起し, わが国の放送業者の間でも深い関心が払われていた.今年4月以降OTV, NHK, KRT, に輸入され, 実際放送プログラムに実用化され目のあたりにその再生像を見る機会を得て, 再びその性能の素晴しさに驚嘆し, ビデオ・テープ・レコーダ・ブームを現出した.以下この分野の技術的展望に一瞥を加えて見よう.

Current recommendations for training protocols aimed at increasing muscle mass are commonly based on a percentage of the concentric one repetition maximum (1RM) for a particular exercise. However, research utilizing lower exercise intensities (20- 30% 1RM) has been observed to result in skeletal muscle hypertrophy similar to that of higher intensity resistance training. These findings appear to question the overall importance of exercise intensity for increasing muscle mass. Objectives: The purpose of this manuscript is to discuss the skeletal muscle hypertrophy exercise intensity recommendations and provide discussion on overall exercise volume, which is likely more important for stimulating skeletal muscle hypertrophy than exercise intensity per se. Design and Methods: Non-systematic review Results: It appears that a large portion of the exercise recommendations for skeletal muscle hypertrophy appear to be based on protocols that elicit short term changes in systemic ‘anabolic' hormones; although little conclusive evidence exists to support that ‘anabolic' hormone hypothesis. Exercise volume may be of much more importance for stimulating and maximizing the duration of the muscle protein synthesis (MPS) response than exercise intensity per se. In addition,chronic training studies confirm the acute findings that volume, not exercise intensity is the mediating factor for skeletal muscle hypertrophy. Conclusion: The data suggests that skeletal muscle hypertrophy recommendations on the basis of exercise intensity are too simplistic and more focus should instead be placed on total exercise volume. The current recommendations for muscle hypertrophy do not reflect current science.

2007年4月、成田国際空港における輸入検疫でアメリカ合衆国産ツワブキ苗の葉に褐色~黒色、円形の斑点が認められ、Alternaria属菌が高率に分離された。分離菌は無傷噴霧接種でツワブキに原病徴を再現し、サイネリアおよびシロタエギクにも病原性を示した。いずれの植物からも接種菌が再分離された。本菌の分生子は単生あるいは2-3連鎖し、黄褐色~褐色、倒洋梨形~倒棍棒形で、横隔壁部がくびれる。本体部は50-132.5×17.5-37.5μm、横隔壁数3-9、縦隔壁数0-6、嘴部は最長62μm、幅5-16.3μmである。形態的特徴から本菌をA. cinerariae Hori and Enjojiと同定した。同定結果は、接種試験およびrDNA-ITSとgpd遺伝子領域の分子系統解析から支持された。本菌によるツワブキの病害は我が国未報告のため、斑点病(英名: Leaf spot)と呼称することを提案する。

This study illustrates a process of citizen participation in planning, design and maintenance of Ishikawa River Park in Osaka Prefecture paying specific attention to consensus building among the participants and the administration. Core members of the citizen groups, most of them are from several sects that had opposed to the plan prepared by the administration, played an important role throughout the process. They worked as facilitators to enhance discussion and collaboration within local communities to reach the agreement for conservation of riparian landscape developed along the river. Based upon results of the case study at Ishikawa River Park, it is pointed out that the primary issues of citizen participation process are in attributes of participants and small groups of citizen are more eligible for promoting planning and design of the park, while new members with vitality and expertise are necessary to enhance efficiency in participation.

戦後第4回目のフォトキナIDternationale Photo-undKino-Ausstellung) 即ち国際写真博覧会は昨年9月22日から10月7日まで西独のケルン市で開催され前回の1954年のそれより一層大ぎな規模の下に盛大に行われた。出品は西ドイツの写真工業関係が最大多数を占めているのは当然であるが東ドイツからも出品され其の他十数力国から出品され, 日本からもかなりの出品が見られた。我が国に最も関係深いカメラにのみついて言えば外国出品社20数社の中12社が日本のものであつた。<BR>出品はカメラを始め凡そ写真と映画に関係あるあらゆるものが出され小は写真をはり付ける糊やピンから大は映画館用の映写機は勿論フィルムや印画紙の自動現像仕上げ装置等あらゆるものが : 陳列されていた。其の他種々の写真団体による応募写真も展覧されその中'には日本作家の絵もかなり多く出ていた。<BR>ドイツの工業博覧会としては戦前からライプッィッヒメッセが有名であり現在も催されているが, 戦後写真関係だけ単独にケルン市で1崔されるようになつた.ケルンにはそのための常設の建物があり年中色々な展示会やその他 : こ使用されている。床面積も2万坪近くあり1号館から8号館まであり, その中にぎつしりと出品されているからゆつくり見れば到底1日や2日では見切れない。<BR>フォトキナではドイツはじめ各国よりの出品を展示し世界各地から集まる販売業1でとの取引もそこで行われるのであるから現在生産中製品は勿論近く発売する新製品等も展示されるのであるが, これを機会として新製品の発表をする向も多く, 先年の第3回フォトキナに於いてもライカM<SUB>3</SUB>や, ライトヴアリュ付の新らしいコンバーシャッターを始め数多くの新品が顔を出し業界に大ぎなセンセイションを与えたのである。従つてフォトキナにより写真界の流行が大きく影響される事も否めない事実である。カメラ関係にのみついて言えば今回のフォトキナの傾向は次の通りである。

日本語テキスト音声合成において,任意の入力テキストに対し正しいアクセントを推定することは,自然な合成音声を得るために不可欠である.日本語は,単語が文中で発声されると,アクセントが前後の文脈に応じて変化する,アクセント結合と呼ばれる現象が発生する.本研究では,この日本語のアクセント結合を統計的に自動推定する課題に取り組む.まず本研究の遂行に必要な,文発声時のアクセント情報がラベル付けされた文章データベースを作成した.ここでは6334文の日本語文セットを対象に,日本語東京方言話者の作業者一名が,アクセント句境界,文中の単語アクセント型のラベリングを行った.そしてこのデータベースを利用し,条件付き確率場を用いた日本語東京方言のアクセント句境界及び文中の単語アクセント型推定手法を提案する.アクセント句単位でアクセント結合自動推定の正答率を調べたところ,規則処理(87.48%)と比較して,提案手法(94.66%)はより高精度にアクセント結合を推定できることが示された.更に規則処理によるアクセント結合処理を用いた合成音声と,提案によるアクセント結合処理を用いた合成音声とを,聴取実験により比較したところ,提案手法は合成音声の自然性を有意に向上させられることが分かった.
