To deepen our understanding on long period ground motion used for seismic design, the ground motion in the Osaka basin due to the 1995 Hyogo-ken Nanbu earthquake is studied. First, peak frequencies observed at Fukushima in Osaka city are discussed with the underground structure. Then, direction and velocity of wave propagation are estimated, using up-down component observed at very densely spaced stations in Osaka city. The velocities are close to the phase velocity of the fundamental mode of Rayleigh wave. Propagating direction is about N30W, indicating that the long period ground motion is predominated by the surface waves affected by 3-D topographical conditions. Using boundary element analysis, the 3-D effects on the ground motion is investigated, with a result that the long period ground motion is propagated from N40W direction with surface wave velocity.

この研究は主に子どもが表現したくなるツール(「どうぶつカチャ」・スマホカメラアプリ)のデザインに着目する。「どうぶつカチャ」の使い方は、画面中動物の透明な顔を通して、現実世界の色や柄を用い、動物の顔を作りだすこと。「どうぶつカチャ」のデザインの振り返りから、子どもが表現したくなるツールデザインの原理を見つけようとしていた。

本研究課題では,脳やせき髄からの投射がない場合の,歩行状態における人間の足部の機械的特性を計測するために,歩行状態を再現するための歩行シミュレータを作成し,これに屍体の足部を取り付け,二方向エックス線透視撮影装置の中で歩行させることによって,足部内部の骨の動きを観察するためのプラットフォームを開発した.これに関連して,歩行状態を再現するための歩行シミュレータの制御や,透過画像から各骨の三次元運動を精密に再構成するための画像処理技術などを開発した.足部に存在する機械的特性のうち,中足骨関節に着目し,同等の機能の足部をもつ二足歩行ロボットを開発,実験によって中足骨関節の歩行安定性への寄与を調べた.

We report a case with lung cancer during pregnancy, which has a very poor prognosis.A 34-year old female at 30 weeks of pregnancy came to us with a cough and right lower chest pain. Chest computed tomography revealed a mass in the right lower lung lobe and the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma cT2aN1M0 was made. We performed a right sleeve pneumonectomy, as the tumor had progressed to the right main bronchus near carina. Histological sections of the specimens revealed a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma that infiltrated surrounding structures. The pathological stage of lung cancer was T4N2M0 stage IIIB. Immunohistochemistry findings for estrogen receptor β were positive in the nuclei of the adenocarcinoma. She had a rapid recurrence in spite of chemotherapy, and she died 7.5 months after operation. The positive estrogen receptor and hormonal condition during pregnancy might promote cancer and result in her poor prognosis.
