A new finite element model of textile green composites is proposed to simulate thermoforming process in this study. The model is assembled with actual configuration of the green composites and the interface between yarn and matrix has certain GAP. The mechanical behavior of yarn was considered by using truss element. To verify these models, deep drawing tests were performed with experiment. As a result, orientation of yarn and thickness of drawn cup agreed with experiment well. After this process, strength of drawn cup was evaluated with compression test in both finite element method (FEM) and experiment. In FEM, to remove GAP between yarn and matrix, tied contact method that adjust the unconformity of mesh was used. The deformation behavior of the drawn cup agreed with experiment. The effectiveness of thermoforming process to design products with FEM was verified.

Two indices, sleep age and sleep index by the human pulse wave and body movement measured non-invasively by the pneumatic method are presented. The sleep age shows the quality of a whole night sleep and the sleep index shows the sleep characteristics of each minute to estimate the sleep stage in the manner of R-K method. The average error between the estimated sleep ages by the R-K method and the proposed method was 7.8 years. The coincidence rate by direct comparisons of sleep stages for each minute estimated by the R-K method and the proposed was 36.4% and SQRM of errors was one sleep stage. The sleep stages estimated by the proposed method showed the essential human sleep characteristics in whole night sleep.

インターネットを利用した遠隔教育を支援するシステムとして edutab を開発した.edutab では遠隔の一人の教師が 5,6 名程度の学習者に対して遠隔会議システムと併用して利用することを想定したシステムである.edutab システムでは教師が PC を持ち,学習者はそれぞれタブレット端末を持っている.この環境下でインタラクティブなコミュニケーションを実現するために,学習者がタブレット上で行う活動をモニタする機能,学習者それぞれと教師の間で共有する個別ホワイトボード機能を実装した.また,児童の IT 機器操作を低減するため,教師 PC のコンソール画面から,学習者のタブレット端末へテキスト,静止画,動画,スライドを遠隔提示する機能を実装した.しかしながら,実際の教育現場では紙を利用した教育活動が広く使われている.そこで,教師と遠隔の学習者の間で紙教材を相互に交換できる機能を edutab に加えた.具体的には従来,1 台のデータセンターに配置したサーバだけで実装していたコアサーバに加えて教師および学習者の近傍にエッジサーバを配置する.エッジサーバにはプリンタおよびスキャナを接続する.コアサーバとエッジサーバの間は HTML5 技術を用いた通信を行う.これにより HTTP が利用できる環境であれば,紙教材を配布することができる.We developed the edutab system that is a support system for distance education with the Internet. The edutab system assumes that a teacher educates remote 5 or 6 students with a TV conference system. A teacher uses a PC and students use a tablet terminal for the edutab system. In order to realize the interactive communication, we implement a monitoring function, individual white board function, and remote presentation function for educational activities between teachers PC and tablet terminals. Papers, however, are commonly used for educational activities in a usual educational environment. Therefor we add a feature that teacher can exchange papers with remote students in educational activates, for the edutab system. The edutab system was originally designed as a concentrate system and the core server placed in a data center. New edutab system was implemented as distributed system because we have to control remote devices. Edge servers are introduced nearby teacher and students to controle devices. A printer and a scanner are connected to this edge server. The HTML5 technologies are used for communication between the core server and edge servers. Therefor we can distribute papers to a remote classroom if edges servers can reach the core server with HTTP.

Difficulties with the calibration and operation of hot-film anemometers in water have prevented their widespread application for towing tank measurements. The potential advantages for measurements such as ship model wake surveys, in terms of their accuracy compared with pitot tubes and their low cost compared with laser-doppler anemometry, have yet to be fully exploited. To this end, a series of calibration experiments with several hot-film probes was done in a towing tank to investigate their calibration characteristics. A nominal wake survey experiment was conducted behind a model of a Newfoundland fishing vessel form by using a wedge-shaped single sensor hot-film probe. The experiment is described. Results obtained of the mean and turbulent axial velocity components within a half propeller disk are presented. The model was towed at a speed of 1.45m/s, which corresponded to a Froude number of 0.33 and full scale vessel speed of 6.4 knots. Techniques associated with use of hot-film probes for wake survey experiments are discussed. The present results indicate the feasibility and potential of hot-film anemometry as a practical, economical, and accurate tool for towing tank applications.
