A specimen of <I>Anarrhichas orientalis</I> Pallas was caught by he long line on July 16, 1969 frorn Miyako Bay, Japan.In Japan, this species has hitherto been recorded from only the coast of Hokkaido, accordingly, the present record is thought to be the southermmost distribution in Japan.The specimen was 84cm in total length.

タカアシガニMacrocheira kaempferi DE HAANは,日本列島附近(相模湾-九州)の比較的深海(50〜300m)に棲息し,現棲甲殻類中,世界最大の種類として知られているが,従来,その生態・生活史等に関する知見は,きわめて乏しい。1961及び,'62年,広島県立宮島水族館で,延べ12尾におよぶタカアシガニを飼育し,その間,本種の性行動について観察する機会を得たので,以下に,その詳細を述べる。

A total of 70 larvae and juveniles of <I>Cryptacanthodes bergi</I> (Cryptacanthodidae, Blennioidei) were collected by a fish larva net towed off the east coast of Aomori Pref.in the northwestern Pacific Ocean.The larvae and juveniles, measuring from about 15 to 31.5 mm TL, were collected at the sea surface from March to June, mainly by night hauls.In a 18.0mm TL postlarva, the body is elongated and compressed.The anus opens a little ahead of the midpoint of the body.The eyes and pectoral fins are large.The body is densely pigmented along each myotome except for the abdomen and caudal peduncle.Along the middorsal line, there is a longitudinal white area which is wider anteriorly.The myotome count is 74 (24+50).In a 30.0mm TL juvenile, the body is much elongated and compressed, and the eyes and pectoral fins are relatively small.The lower jaw protrudes beyond the upper jaw and forms a wry mouth.The pelvic fins are absent.Head sensory canals are not well developed and have some outer openings.<BR>A gravid female, collected on Oct.6, 1977, from muddy bottom at a depth of 50-60m in Mutsu Bay off Aomori City, has 249 maturing orange yellow eggs measuring 1.7 to 2.2mm in diameter.Its ovary is a single type.<BR>A similarity in the distribution of melanophores between larvae of <I>C.bergi and Zaprora silenus</I> (Zaproridae) was detected.

The seismological observation at Syowa Station (SYO), Antarctica was carried out by JARE (Japanese Antarctic Research Expedition) using HES seismographs of three components. We examined how many earthquakes reported in the summary report of USCGS were detected as P or PKP phase at SYO during the period from March to December 1967. The earthquake detection capability in connection with the magnitude and the epicentral distance was investigated. The detection capability of SYO is 7% in winter and 2% in summer. These values are the same order as those of DRV (Dumont d'Urville) and MIR (Mirny), but very low as compared with that of SPA (South Pole Station). The detection capability for distance range around 30 degrees is clearly low and it can be considered that there is some relation between the detection capability and P-wave amplitude.|1957年国際地球観測年以来,日本南極観測隊により,昭和基地では,いろいろな分野の観測が行なわれている.地震観測も1959年にHES地震計を使って開始された.1962年昭和基地の閉鎖にともない,4年間の空白はあったが,1966年基地は再開され,地震観測も始まった.1967年には長周期地震計(Tp=15秒)3成分も設置され,HES地震計3成分の観測ともども現在に至っている.

スポーツ選手の心理的競技能力を診断する方法を開発する目的から, 1986年以来, 種々のスポーツ選手を対象に調査を行い, 信頼性, 妥当性を検証し, 評価尺度の開発とシステム化を試みてきた。その主な結果は, つぎのとおりである。1. スポーツ選手の心理的「特性」としての心理的競技能力を診断する方法として52(嘘尺度4項目を含む)の質問項目から構成され, 12尺度及び5因子に分類される調査法である「心理的競技能力診断検査(DIPCA.3)」を開発した。2. スポーツ選手の心理的「状態」としての心理的競技能力を診断する方法として次の2つの方法を開発した。1) スポーツ選手の試合前の心理状態を診断する方法として20(嘘尺度2項目を含む)の質問項目で構成され, 9尺度及び5因子に分類される調査法である「試合前の心理状態診断検査(DIPS-B.1)」を開発した。2) スポーツ選手の試合中の心理状態を診断する方法として10の質問項目から構成される調査法である「試合中の心理状態診断法(DIPS-D.2)」を開発した。3. スポーツ選手の心理面の指導のために3つの診断検査のシステム化を試みた。

Ailleurs d'Henri Michaux et Les Villes insivibles d'Italo Calvino s'absorbent dans la presentation de lieux imaginaires au detriment de leurs formes narratives: entassements de fragments presentant des moeurs absurdes de tribus ou de villes extravagantes. Ailleurs se caracterise par son emploi persistant du present et de pronoms generalisateurs (on et vous), ce qui nie le statut unique des evenements rapportes et du sujet qui en fait l'experience, en les presentant comme des faits banaux, survenant a tout un chacun, dans ces pays imaginaires. La structure enumerative des listes se trouve a la fois au niveau des phrases et sur le plan de la totalite: l'oeuvre entiere devient une liste de fantaisies. Dans Les Villes invisibles, la liste serielle apparait comme un panorama des paradoxes logiques ; les descriptions des trois villes, dans la mesure ou elles nient la distinction de l'interieur/exterieur, se contredisent et contredisent a la fois les descriptions de toutes les autres villes. La structure des listes rapproche ces oeuvres de la tradition menippeenne de Rabelais et Swift a Roussel, mais leur strategie (refus de construire un monde coherent pour ne construire qu'une zone) les eloigne de l'utopie de sorte que nous preferons leur appliquer le terme de Foucault, heterotopie : espace polysemique, transitoire et toujours conteste, dont l'ordre est arbitraire.

This paper explores an aspect of Søren Kierkegaard as a humoristic awakening teacher. In the theory of education, Kierkegaard has been well known as an existential thinker. The concepts of 'awakening' and 'subjective decision' are considered to be unique to Kierkegaard. A good deal of effort has been made to clarify the relation of educational theory and existential philosophy, a topic which is not ours here. Our concern is with the examination of the performative role that Kierkegaard intends to play in front of his audience.<BR>Kierkegaard describes himself as a humorist in his <I>Concluding Unscientific Postscript to Philosophical Fragments</I>, whose author is Johannes Climacus (one of Kierkegaard's pseudonyms). The question here is if we have not often overlooked the fact that the text is written by a humorist. Have we paid due attention to the nuances and atmospheres of the narrative of Climacus? <BR>To begin with, we have to inquire into the meaning of "misunderstanding" which Kierkegaard thinks as one of his main themes all through his authorship. A great deal of misunderstanding in his age has made it necessary for Kierkegaard to adopt pseudonymous authorship and to communicate in an experimental form of a humorist.<BR>Then, a detailed analysis of Climacus' humoristic narrative illustrates four features of a humorist : (1) continually to join the conception of God together with something else and to bring out contradictions; (2) not to relate himself to God in religious passion; (3) to change himself into a jesting and yet profound transition area for all the transactions; (4) to renounce the concordance of joys that go with having an opinion and always to dance lightly.<BR>Lastly, it seems reasonable to suppose that Climacus' usage of "existence" is far from that of a conventional context of existential philosophy. This view on humoristic style of Climacus' narrative should throw new light on the relation between educational theory and Kierkegaard.

The intake of folic acid by women who are able to produce children has been encouraged by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare since 2000. However, there is no trend of decrease of neural tube defects (hereafter referred as to "NTD") related to the folic acid intake in Japan. Therefore, it cannot be said that the importance of the intake of folic acid is fully known by them. Therefore, a questionnaire was implemented with 300 mothers nurturing their preschool-aged children about the awareness of folic acid. As a result, 68.7% of them knew that folic acid is a kind of vitamin, 69.3% of them knew its effect of preventing congenital abnormalities, and 64.0% of them knew that, in order to prevent congenital abnormalities, it is necessary to have an intake of folic acid before pregnancy. Of the women who partook in this study, 72.3% had taken a folic acid supplement in the past, and 58% of them had reported to have obtained information of folic acid. Therefore, they all had a good understanding of folic acid. However, only 24.7% of them knew that it can be better absorbed by the body in supplement form. Therefore, it cannot be said that they were well enough informed of the characteristic of its absorption by the body and the significance of taking it in supplement form; so it was suggested that they should be provided with the necessary information.2000年より厚生労働省により妊娠可能女性への葉酸摂取が推奨されている。しかしながら葉酸摂取の有無と関係する我が国の神経管閉鎖障害(NTD;Neural Tube Defects、以下NTDと略す)発症率に減少傾向はみられず、十分に認知されているとはいえない状況である。そこで未就学児を養育している母親300名に葉酸に関する認知について調査を行った。葉酸がビタミンの一種であることを知っている人は68.7%であった。また、先天奇形の予防効果を知っていた人は69.3%であった。奇形予防のためには妊娠前から葉酸を服用する必要があることを知っていたのは64.0%であった。過去に葉酸サプリメント摂取の経験がある人も72.3%いた。また、葉酸の情報の入手したことがある母親は58%であり、葉酸の認知度は高いといえる。しかし、食品で摂取するより、サプリメントの方が吸収率が良いことを知っていた人は24.7%であった。したがって、葉酸の吸収の特性やサプリメントとしての摂取することの意義などの知識は十分であるとはいえず、情報提供の必要性が示唆された。
