日本人乳歯の大きさにおける性差を分析するために,乳歯列正常咬合を有する小児100名(男児50名,女児50名)から得られた石膏模型の歯冠近遠心幅径,唇(頬)舌径を杉山・黒須の計測基準に従い,デジタルノギス(0.01mm)を用いて計測した。歯冠サイズの性差は性差百分率によって検討した。歯冠形態の比較は幅厚指数によって行った。結果は以下の通りである。1.計測者内誤差は第一乳臼歯でやや大きいものの0.1mm未満であり,分析に影響を与えない範囲内であった。2.歯冠近遠心幅径,唇(頬)舌径ともに全ての歯種で,1-3%程度,男児が女児より大きかった。3.上顎では歯冠唇(頬)舌径の,下顎では歯冠近遠心幅径の性差が大きい傾向を示した。4.男・女児ともに変動係数は,歯冠唇(頬)舌径の方が近遠心幅径より大きく,サイズの変異が大きい傾向を示した。5.幅厚指数では歯冠サイズと比較して大きな性差はみられなかったが,下顎乳犬歯では有意差がみられ,女児が相対的に歯冠唇舌径が大きかった。

こどもコミュニティセンターでは、親子のひろば「ぽっけ」の参加者である親子を対象に、学生による保育付きのプログラムを実施してきた。今回、新たに親子それぞれが並行してプログラムに参加する親子並行プログラムを実施した。親プログラムは、名称を「My Own Time~わたしの時間~」とし、参加者である母親にひとときの子どもと離れた自由時間を提供する内容とした。子どもプログラムは名称を「おにいさんおねえさんと遊べるタイム」とし、親から離れて1人で学生と一緒に遊ぶ内容とした。終了後のアンケートでは、親プログラムは気持ちがリフレッシュし、子どもへの気持ちを再確認できる機会となり、子どもはプログラムへの参加が社会的経験となり、親子で共に成長する機会となった等の感想が得られた。アンケートの内容、子どもプログラムの観察と学生への聞き取り、その後の親子の様子から、プログラムの内容について考察し、大学でプログラムを行うことの意義を検討する。At the Child Community Center, the programs for parents with childcare by college students have been held since it was found. This time new programs were conducted as parents and children could join separately in the different programs at the same time. The name of the programs for the parents was "My Own Time", designed for giving them two-hours free time away from their children. Another program for children was called "Playing with Big Brothers and Sisters" which was planned for enabling the children to play with college students in the drop-in"Pokke" as they were separated from their parents. According to the results of the questionnaires, parents gained a relaxation time and found an opportunity to rediscover how they love their children. Consequently, the programs have supported the growth of both parents and children. We will examine the meanings of these programs by analyzing the results of the questionnaires, observing the children' program, listening to the students voices, and investigating continually to the relationship between parents and children.

真皮膠原線維の代謝回転が早いためと考えられる皮膚脆弱症をもつ11歳齢ホルスタイン雌ウシ(Cow1)の橈骨骨幹の横断切片を用いて, 形態学的および物理化学的な検索を行った. 巨大なCow1は成長の安定した5-6.5歳齢の正常雌ウシの約1.5倍の体重を示した. その骨試料を正常な12歳齢雌ウシ(Cow2)と比較した. 今まで, 若いウシやある草食恐竜の長骨骨幹は, 付加的に形成される同心円状の葉状骨(laminar bone)からなり, また, このような葉状骨は成長の早い家畜や大型犬の成長期の骨に特徴的に見られると報告されている. Cow1とCow2の骨量はほぼ同じであったが, Cow1はCow2と比べて外層1/2で少数の骨単位しかもたず, 全層ではCow2と1歳齢の去勢雄ウシの中間型を示した. Cow1とCow2の間に, CaとP量, Vickers硬さに有意差は認められなかった. しかし, Cow1の骨の膠原細線維は不均一な直径と乱れた配列を示した. このことから, 既に報告された皮膚脆弱症の真皮と骨の膠原細線維の形成に何らかの相関性のあることが推察された. 葉状骨の残存量からは, 11歳齢のCow1はおそらく最近まで成長しており, その結果として, ある草食恐竜の様に巨大化したと考えられた.

A logarithmic profile is an essentially optimal geometry for rolling machine elements such as bearing rollers and raceways. Under most conditions of loading, it yields less stresses to give longer endurance. Lundberg first suggested the basic profile, and some researchers followed him by modifying it to suit engineering requirements. The authors also proposed a mathematical optimization method for various profiles including a logarithmic one in roller bearing applications. In this paper, rolling contact fatigue life tests are carried out to make a comparison of logarithmic, standard partially crowned and modified partially crowned rollers when they are applied to cylindrical roller bearings. Results show that the logarithmic and modified partially crowned rollers are comparable in fatigue life, and outlast the standard partially crowed rollers if they are fully lubricated. On the other hand, under poor lubrication, the logarithmic rollers are found to yield outstanding fatigue life over the modified partially crowned ones.

"The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art" was the oldest book of mathematics in China before the unearthing of "Suan-shu shu." The aim of our research is to provide a complete translation and annotation of it including annotations of Liu Hui(劉徽)and Li Chunfeng(李淳風)from the viewpoint of our previous work on "Suan-shu shu." This is the twenty-fourth article based on our research and results in which we studied the problems 16 to 20 of Chapter 7, Yingbuzu(盈不足)."The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art" was the oldest book of mathematics in China before the unearthing of "Suan-shu shu." 歯車等の軸状機械部品はそのマイクロオーダーの形状が性能に大きく影響するため,厳しい品質管理が必要となる.原子間力プローブ式形状測定機は従来のCMMより高精度な測定を実現できる可能性があり,これまで非球面レンズ等の表面形状測定に用いられてきた.しかし,原子間力プローブ式形状測定法は上部からの表面形状測定であるため,軸状機械部品のように軸を基準としてその形状誤差が評価されるものに適用するためには,それに対応した測定アルゴリズムが必要となる.本研究では,原子間力プローブ式形状測定機による軸状機械部品の測定·評価法を提案する.また,この測定法に付随する誤差要因とその影響を明らかにする.

今年初夏、日本はちょっとした"恐竜化石発見ラッシュ"にわいた。6月、兵庫県丹波市で大型草食恐竜ティタノサウルス類とみられる化石群から、国内で初めて頭骨が出現。脳を包んでいた頭骨を調べれば恐竜の生態が解明できると期待され、研究者たちは色めき立った。7月には福井県勝山市で、やはりティタノサウルス類と思われる恐竜の国内最大級の上腕骨化石が発掘された。

自由描画によって脳損傷患者の構成能力を評価する際の題材として、欧米では自転車がよく使用されているが、わが国ではその使用例は少ない。そこで、年齢と職業が異なった2群の健常者(大学生、現職学校教員)に、自転車の自由描画を行わせ、それをLezak(1976,1983,1995)の20点法で採点した。その結果、評定者間の一致度が低い採点項目が少なくなく、臨床的な検査としての妥当性には疑問が残った。 しかし、被験者のほとんどが日常的に自転車を使用していたにもかかわらず、その形態を正しく再生できた者は非常に少なく、極端な省略、単純化や変形が認められるなど、日常記憶、特に日常物品の記憶に関する研究としては興味深い結果であると思われた。In Western countries, the bicycle is a most popular and useful subjects matter for free drawing test to investigate constructional abilities in brain damaged patients. Accordingly there were little studies about that in japan, an attempt was made to exam the reliability of Lezak's 20-points scoring system (Lezak,1976.1983,1995) in healthy Japanese participants. Free drawing of the bicycle were obtained from 58 university students (mean age 20.1±1.0 yrs ) and 37 school teachers (mean age 41.7± 7.4 yrs ), and two research assistants scored independently using 20-points scoring system. There is a doubt for clinical use, because interscorer reliability is not enough high on some items. Although almost participaints see and use the bicycle in daily life, they frequently omitted important parts (e.g., gear, drive chain, pedals) of it. The results revealed that long-term memory for common objects is not clear contrary to our expectations.

パークシャー種, 種雄豚160頭を同種母豚517頭に交配して生産された育成豚, 雄89頭, 雌1, 484頭の計1, 573頭を用いて育成豚の特徴, 枝肉形質の遺伝率, 遺伝相関, および表型相関について検討した.育成雄豚においてロース芯面積が雌より大きく, 逆に脂肪が薄くなった.測定月の効果はREA, SFT, SFT-1, SFT-2およびIMFTすべての形質に対して有意 (P<0.01) 性が認められた.性と産次Gの交互作用についてはSFTに対してのみ有意 (P<0.05) 性が認められた.測定時日齢への回帰の効果はすべての形質に対して有意 (P<0.01) 性が認められた.また, REA, SFT, SFT-1, SFT-2およびIMFTの遺伝率は種雄豚を変量効果とした場合0.465, 0.534, 0.562, 0.318および0.104であり, 母豚を変量効果とした場合は0.575, 0.991, 0.991, 0.730および0.548であった.遺伝相関については種雄豚あるいは母豚を変量効果としたいずれの場合においても0.244~0.937の正の値を示した.表型相関については背脂肪厚間で0.398~0.843の値を示した.また, 種雄豚および母豚と育成豚の単相関係数はREA, SFTおよびSFT-1 (P<0.01) , SFT-2 (P<0.05) で, また, 母豚と育成豚の問ではIMFT (P<0.05) において有意性が認められた.
