現在、日本の近代文学研究はポストモダンの運動がなし崩しに終焉した後、文化研究と併存する形で旧体制に回帰し、原理論に向かうエネルギーを喪失していますが、本稿ではソシュールの言語論やロラン・バルトの「還元不可能な複数性」を踏まえて〈言語以前〉の問題に遡り、〈第三項〉を立てることで、読むことの原理論を提示、実践します。客体の対象の文章には「正解」という実体は未来永劫存在しない、そこは究極のアナーキーであり、これを克服するには〈第三項〉を介在した〈宿命の創造〉に向かうことが求められ、そこに〈読み〉の真髄も現れます。これを鷗外の『舞姫』と『うたかたの記』を取り上げて具体的に示します。

La Vie scélérate à travers La Vie sans fardsroman, autobiographie et biographie chez Maryse CondéKei MORIWAKI   Cet article propose de relire La Vie scélérate à partir de La Vie sans fards pour repenser la relation entre les romans et les œuvres (auto)biographiques chez Maryse Condé.  La Vie scélérate est un roman paru en 1987, dans lequel Condé raconte l’histoire d’une famille bourgeoise noire de Guadeloupe à travers quatre générations, et La Vie sans fards est la deuxième œuvre autobiographique, parue en 2012, dans laquelle l’auteure raconte sa démarche en Afrique dans les années 60. Malgré le décalage des dates de parution et des sujets, l’écrivaine suggère dès les titres une relation profonde entre les deux œuvres : la conformité de l’expression « La Vie », la consonance en « s » et l’assonance en « a » les reliant phonétiquement.  En outre, nous pouvons remarquer une concordance des arbres généalogiques des familles dans les deux œuvres. À cet égard, sont particulièrement significatives la présence de Claude dite Coco, fille de quatrième génération de la famille et narratrice de La Vie scélérate, et celle de Denis, le premier fils de Condé. En effet, les circonstances de leur naissance (l’écrivaine confie pour la première fois, dans La Vie sans fards, la « vérité » que Denis est bâtard) et de leur enfance sont semblables. En outre, leurs descriptions, dans les deux livres, présentent des analogies textuelles. Si nous relisons La Vie scélérate par cet intermédiaire, Claude apparaît ainsi comme le double de Denis.  Or Condé a déclaré avoir une relation complexe avec son fils aîné : pendant longtemps, elle n’a pas pu accepter d’être mère célibataire et a dissimulé la naissance de Denis ; plus tard, elle n’a pas pu accepter qu’il soit homosexuel (le choix du nom épicène « Claude » reflèterait ce fait) ni qu’il ait voulu devenir écrivain. À l’époque où Condé a écrit La Vie scélérate, Denis souffrait de ce rejet de son identité et avait quitté sa mère.  Cette relecture nous permet de présenter de nouvelles interprétations de La Vie scélérate : à travers le personnage de Claude, Condé raconte l’histoire fantasmée de Denis, auquel elle dédie ce roman en tant que mère écrivaine. Elle a ainsi voulu légitimer son fils par sa propre création, en espérant qu’il bâtirait sa propre identité comme Claude, qui le fait et décide d’écrire un roman éponyme à la fin de l’intrigue.

非常に新規性の高い事業は,計画段階で予期できなかった社会的・法的問題に直面することがある.企業家は社会からの批判に反論し,法制度の専門職に対して新事業の正当性を主張する必要がある.本論文は,サービスの無料提供が,社会的正当化の文脈においても有効な施策であることを論ずる.サービスを無料で提供することで事業計画が過剰に難しくなることを防ぎ,企業家が対応すべき問題を明確にする効果がある.

52歳,女性.胆道閉鎖症にて生後120日で胆囊十二指腸吻合術が行われた.反復する胆管炎に対して内視鏡治療を行った際の胆汁細胞診でClass Vが検出された.マッピング生検で胆囊管肝管合流部に癌を確認し,肝外胆管切除術,胆管空腸吻合術を行った.胆管癌はBilIN-3までの粘膜内癌でR0切除であった.胆道閉鎖症に対する胆囊十二指腸吻合術はまれで,術後長期の胆管癌合併の報告はなく,文献的考察を加えて報告する.

比較的稀な10代の肘部管症候群3例について報告した.2013年4月から2017年1月まで肘部管症候群の診断で尺骨神経前方移行術を施行した72例のうち,10代の症例で術後6か月以上のフォローが可能だった3例を対象とした.平均18.7(18-19)才,全例男性で投球時の内上顆の痛み,尺骨神経症状などを有した.筋萎縮はなく赤堀の分類第1期であった.臨床所見,神経伝導速度検査,手術所見,Mayo Elbow Performance Score(以下,MEPS),JOA-JES scoreを評価した.全例,内上顆周辺の圧痛,Tinel徴候のみで神経伝導速度に特記すべき所見は認めなかった.手術では内上顆付近の軽度の神経絞扼を認めた.全例機能スコアの改善を認めた.野球の投球に関連する肘部管症候群においてスポーツのパフォーマンス改善のために,尺骨神経前方移行術を施行することが重要であると考えられた.

プロフェッショナリズムをどう伝えるか.アカデミアだけでなく,臨床にいる薬剤師にとっても大変難しい課題である.2006年,医療技術の高度化や医薬分業の進展等に伴い,高い資質を持つ薬剤師養成のために薬学部の修業年限は4年から6年に延長された.現行の改訂薬学教育モデル・コアカリキュラムには「薬剤師に求められる基本的な資質」が示され,生涯にわたりそれらの資質や能力の研鑽が求められている.医療現場で生じる様々な課題に向き合い,医療者として,あるいは薬剤師としてどのように行動すべきかを考えるとき,その推進力になるのがプロフェッショナリズムであろう.このプロフェッショナリズムをどのように伝え,どのように身につけていくのか.コロナ禍で社会構造が激変するなか,患者中心の医療を提供し続けるためにプロフェッショナリズムを維持することは決して簡単なことではないが,教育として伝え続けなければならないことは明白である.

麦焼酎はここ20年あまりの消費拡大のなかで減圧蒸留あるいはイオン交換といった新しい技術を利用した香味の軽いタイプが主流になってきた。今回はその軽いタイプについて現場での実用研究を続ける著者自身の研究成果も踏まえて解脱していただいた。

The domestic cat is a very popular companion animal. However, there is very little work focusing on cat-specific physiology and behavior. In this review, we introduce our studies uncovering scent signals for species- and sex-recognition and the behavioral significance of the silver vine response in cats. Cat urine emits a specific catty smell. Our chemical analysis identified a sulfur-containing volatile organic compound, 3-mercapto-3-methyl-1-butanol, that is detectable in the urine of cats but not of dogs and humans. In addition, its level varies between sexes; its level is markedly higher in intact males than in castrated males or females. These indicate that the sulfur-containing compound is a urinary scent signal involved in species- and sex-recognition in cats. The other characteristic in cats is the behavioral response to silver vine, which comprises licking and chewing the plants, rubbing against the plants, and rolling over on the plants. Previous studies identified some bioactive compounds designated as matatabilactones from the plants, but little is known about why cats do the response to the plants. Our analyses found that nepetalactol which was missed in the plants is a potent bioactive compound for the response and stimulates the μ-opioid system which is responsible for the euphoria in humans. Nepetalactol has the repellent activity of pest insects such as mosquitoes. The rubbing and rolling responses to the plants transfer nepetalactol onto the feline fur that repels mosquitoes. The licking and chewing of the plants changes not only emission levels of nepetalactol and matatabilactones but also their contents which increase bioactivities toward cats and mosquitoes. These findings improve our understanding of the species-specific physiology and behavior in cats.

Was the Sino-American Rapprochement a turning point that changed everything? In 1969, the ROC changed the military strategy from “Offensive Posture” to “Unity of Offensive and Defensive”. Certainly, the advent of Nixon gave a big impact to the ROC’s national security, which heavily relied on the US. However, the ROC Government might decide to change its military strategy from “Retaking the Mainland,” which had been attempted for over a decade, to building up the consolidation of Taiwan’s defense when encountering the escalation of the PRC’s military threat even at the peak of the chaotic Great Leap Forward and Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution.The chaos in Mainland China in the 1960s provided a chance for the ROC to retake the mainland. The ROC would have been able to initiate military operations if received support from the US Nevertheless, US Government after the Kennedy administration was seeking coexistence with the PRC and therefore rejected all ROC’s requests.At that time the PRC was strengthening its nuclear capability and conventional forces despite being in a state of political chaos. In response to the growing military threat of the PRC, improvement of the ROC government’s defense capability to secure “Taiwan” became its top priority. Moreover, when the US abolition of Military Assistance Program was announced, the ROC Government was forced to improve military advancement at the expense of its own economy and spend the limited budget on defense in priority. Therefore, the ROC Government had begun to reform the “Offensive Posture” strategy that it adopted since 1949, and decided to change to the “Unity of Offensive and Defensive” strategy that focused on defense more than before. This was before Nixon put forth the “Guam Doctrine” and started to approach the PRC.Division of “China” was incorporated into the Cold War and immobilized. Although the chaos in Mainland China in the 1960s was likely to develop into “hot war” if ROC took military action. The US suppressed the ROC’s action for changing the status quo and avoided military conflict with the PRC. There is no doubt that the current US-China-Taiwan relations was formed in the 1970s, beginning with Nixon’s rapprochement to the PRC. However, the structure of maintaining the status quo of the ROC’s endeavor to acquire the US military commitment to resist the PRC’s continuous military expansion was gradually formed through the 1960s.

The postwar development of Japanese urban geography is divided into four periods. The amount of research in urban geography has increased, expanding study targets and analytical methods. With an increase in studies of urbanization in the 1950s, heated debate ensued and stimulated urban geographers, leading to the subsequent development of urban geography. There are two approaches, to regard a city as a specific point or as an area. The former is represented by studies on the central place and the urban system, while the latter is represented by studies on the internal structure of a city. These two have been dealt with almost equally by Japanese urban geographers. The trends of urban geography comprise the following points: an emphasis on the functional aspects; the introduction of more quantitative approaches; and an increase in the number of studies of foreign cities. Two points are indispensable for the further development of Japanese urban geography: controversy and theorization. The implications of the former are evident, judging from the role that debate played in the initial urbanization controversy. Clearly, progress cannot be made without dispute and debate. Theorization is equally important. Quantitative geography was originally oriented toward theory, although theorization can be accomplished without the use of a quantitative approach. Whether quantitative or nonquantitative approaches are taken depends on the attitude of researchers, but both provide Japanese urban geography, which has traditionally depended on imported foreign accomplishments for its development, with an opportunity to transmit information internationally.

The ENSO phenomenon is investigated by building a fractional derivative recharge-discharge model in which the integer derivative is replaced with the left-sided Caputo type fractional derivative. The results suggest that when the highest order fractional derivative is larger than 1 but smaller than or equal to 2, the model exhibits a variation between exponential decay and pure harmonic oscillation. The system will strengthen to an El Niño/La Niña event and then weaken to the neutral state which does not require a zero value. Therefore, there is only a life cycle of an El Niño/La Niña event, rather than the life cycle of a complete ENSO event in the pure harmonic oscillation. When the highest order fractional derivative is larger than 2, the model exhibits an exponential-like amplified oscillation. The system benefits to exhibit the life cycle of strong ENSO events. The fractional derivative recharge-discharge model, in general, extends the integer model and can be applied in studying the complexity in ENSO phenomenon.
