本研究では対象指示コミュニケーション課題を用いて,図形を伝達するための説明とその正答数ならびに共感性との関連を検討した.大学生29名に対象指示コミュニケーション課題を実施し,同時に共感性尺度に回答させた.その結果,大学生の正答数はそれほど高くないことが示された.また,共感性については自己指向的な認知傾向である「想像性」と正答数との間に負の相関関係が見られた.本研究の結果は,情報を伝達するための説明を促す際の留意点を示唆している.

The purpose of this paper is to elaborate effects of definitions of logical implication on the unit structure of logic in mathematics textbooks.  Especially, this study focuses on the effects of their definitions on indirect proof. For this purpose, we carried out praxeological analysis of a Japanese high school mathematics textbook within Anthropological Theory of the Didactic.  The analysis consists of two parts.  First, we briefly review a definition of implication by inclusive relationships of sets.  Second, we identify what types of tasks appear how many tasks each type has respectively.  As a result, we found that the definition of logical implication justified solutions for almost all of tasks.  Especially, we can explain and justify the validity of proof by contrapositive by using the definition.  On the other hand, we showed that the definition did not validate of the method of proof by contradiction.  Furthermore, we suggested that above differences were caused by the following three reasons: 1) The current conception of implication based on the concept of set in Japanese school mathematics does not subsume the conception of non-implicational proposition, that is, singular proposition; 2) As long as following the description of the textbook, we cannot define negation for any propositions (we can define negation only for open sentences); nevertheless, 3) The textbook does not explicitly describe some other concepts, such as a logical consequence, required for explaining the validity of proof by contradiction.

症例は36歳, 男性. 平成9年8月, 肥満の治療目的にて入院となる. 入院時, 身長168cm, 体重162kg, BMI57.0, 体脂肪率59.3%, 腹部腰高GT像によるV/S比0.32, 合併症として糖尿病, 高血圧, 睡眠時無呼吸症候群 (SAS), 低酸素血症に伴う二次性多血症を認めた. 超低力ロリー食療法 (420~968kal/日) による45kg余りの減量により, 腹部臍高CT像における内臓脂肪面積, 皮下脂肪面積は減少し, レプチン, PAl-1, TNF-α等のアディポサイトカインはいすれも低下した. さらに, 75g糖負荷試験における耐糖能は糖尿病型から正常型となり, 顕著なインスリン過剰反応も是正された. また, 血液ガス分析におけるPO2の増加, O2飽和度の改善や多血症の改善も認めたが, SASは改善しなかった.

In oder to realize the DFT simulations on large-scale complex systems, we have been developing a linear-scaling DFT code Conquest. In this paper, we report the parallel efficiency of the code on K-computer and show that it has almost ideal parallel efficiency even when we use more than 200,000 cores. Using the code on such large-scale parallel computers, we are now ready to do actual DFT study on million-atom systems. By showing our current study on the nucleation of Ge dimers on three-dimensional Ge nano-islands on Si(001), we demonstrate that accurate, efficient and robust structure relaxation based on the DFT is possible in the actual scientific research on complex nano-structured materials.

京都市水道は明治45年 (1912) に京都市三大事業の一環として敷設され、琵琶湖疏水を上水源とした。明治期における都市の水道建設の動機の例にしたがい、京都も古来より豊富良質とされていた地下水の汚染がコレラ等の伝染病流行の原因になったためとされる。ところがわが国には明治以後、上水道技術とともに下水道技術も同時に伝来し、いつれを先に建設すれば都市衛生上好結果をえられるか、という議論がなされている。京都においては、他の都市に比較すれば良質なる地下水を飲料水とし、市民の水道への関心はむしろ薄く、衛生上、下水道建設の要望が強かった。上水下水選択論争は、水力電力増強の目的も兼ねた琵琶湖第二疏水建設の計画の登場により、上水道工事優先が決定され、下水工事の着手は昭和に至るまで待たねばならなかった。

この研究では、人が自分の顔、知人の顔および他人の顔を見た時に知覚される歪みの大きさが調べられた。実験参加者は、標準刺激として正像の顔写真、比較刺激として正像と鏡像とが合成された顔写真を観察し、どちらがより歪んで(左右対称から離れて)見えるかを回答した。比較刺激の合成比率は系統的に操作され(正像20%:鏡像80%から正像-20%:鏡像120%のカリカチュア)、その比率によって歪みの度合いが操作された。実験の結果、正像と鏡像とを比較したときは、本人の顔においてのみ、正像がより歪んで知覚されることが明らかにされた。また、本人の正像の歪みの大きさ100%に相当する鏡像の歪みの大きさは約105%であることが示された。これらの結果は、自分の鏡像への順応が日常的に起こっており、知覚レベルの判断においても残効をもたらすことを示している。

Ventricular arrhythmias (VA), like premature ventricular contractions (PVC) and ventricular tachycardia (VT) in patients without structural heart disease (idiopathic VA), mainly arise from the right and left ventricular outflow tracts (RVOT/LVOT). The prognosis for OT VA is generally good in the majority of patients, but there is potential for developing dilated cardiomyopathies from the high burden of VA, as well as a certain risk for sudden cardiac death because of fast monomorphic VT or polymorphic VT triggered by short-coupling PVC. Radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) has evolved into a widely accepted treatment strategy for patients suffering from VAs. A detailed knowledge of surface ECGs and complex cardiac anatomy, especially within the ventricular OTs, is essential for the understanding of cardiac OT-VAs and highly related to safe and successful RFCA procedures. This review article focuses on RFCA of idiopathic VA arising from the cardiac OT as well as adjacent regions and will illustrate recent insights and technical issues. (Circ J 2016; 80: 1073–1086)

うつ病患者の末梢血で炎症関連分子の上昇や好中球や単球など免疫細胞の増加が報告されている。また、社会ストレスはうつ病のリスク因子であり、ヒトや動物のストレスモデルでも、炎症関連分子が上昇し、免疫細胞が増加する。本稿では、ストレスによる炎症性サイトカインやプロスタグランジンといった炎症関連分子の誘導と免疫細胞の増加、それらのうつ症状への関与と働きについて、ヒトおよび動物のストレスモデルを用いた前臨床研究やうつ病患者を対象とした臨床研究から得られた知見を紹介する。

営農形態の変化に対応して試験的に水利権上の代かき期の前倒しが行われることがある.本研究では, その前倒しに伴う代かきの早期化状況の調査においてSentinel-1衛星の合成開口レーダ(SAR)データが有効利用できるか否かを明らかにするため, 同データと圃場区画データを用いて水田の湛水有無を圃場毎に判別(後方散乱係数の圃場平均値がある閾値以下の圃場を「湛水あり」と判定)した場合の判別精度を検証した.その検証は, 同じ快晴日にSentinel-1衛星とSentinel-2衛星の両方で観測が行われていた調査エリアにおいて行い, Sentinel-2衛星のマルチスペクトルデータによる湛水有無の判別結果を検証用データとして用いた.判別精度は, VV偏波が79.1%, VH偏波が75.8%で, VV偏波のSAR画像の方が判別に適していた.上記のような調査においてSentinel-1衛星データは十分に有効利用できると判断された.

Tomakomai Mill, Oji Paper Co., Ltd. started operation in 1910. It was known back then as the largest paper mill in the East. It has greatly contributed to domestic paper supply for more than a hundred years. The mill has several facilities certified as a part of Modern Industrial Heritage Sites by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. These certified facilities are as follows. The hydraulic power plants by the Lake Shikotsu began operating in the same year as the mill's establishment and underwent many repairs and improvements over the years. The water channels from the lumberyard to the mill have been used for the transportation of logs, and the log-debarking equipment, called "Drum Barker," has been in operation since 1929. Both these facilities have long been essential for pulp production. Old buildings and structures standing on the mill site remind us of the founding days; some of them are still in use. These facilities indicate the development of paper industry in Hokkaido and some of them are still in operation. The paper machines have not been designated as industrial heritages; however, they have a long history of manufacturing and continuous construction or upgrading based on the request for optimal production configurations.

The summary describes a rehabilitation work for practical use on the building 2 (formerly library) in Waseda University. The examination identified the importance of the building 2 for the university, the process of construction, the preceding rehabilitation work, etc. The rehabilitation of shikkui ceilings and the seismic reinforcement were conducted, preserving its cultural value. “T. T-WALL”, the wall for reinforcement, looking like the bookstack, was developed this time, reflecting an ideology by Tachu Naito, who designed the building 2 structurally. It may be one of the first attempts for rehabilitation work to inherit an ideology of a structural designer.
