高温超伝導の舞台は強い電子間クーロン相互作用がもたらす異常な金属状態である.なかでも異常な「擬ギャップ」は,超伝導転移温度T_cを超えた高温からフェルミ準位上の状態密度が減少する現象であるが,その起源はまだ明らかではない.最近の角度分解光電子分光(ARPES)実験により,擬ギャップ状態で残ったフェルミ面の一部が「フェルミ・アーク」として観測されている.固体物理学の常識では考えにくいこの現象を理解するため,理論・実験両面で精力的な努力が行われている.本稿では,興味深いフェルミ・アークに関するこれまでの研究状況を整理し,この異常な電子状態の理解が超伝導発現機構の解明にどうつながるか展望を述べる.

Al-Husein b. Muhammad b. 'Ali al Ja'fari ar-Rughdi or simply known as Ibn Bibi after his mother, many times uses the term of "ilkhan" in his Anatolian history of <i>Al-avamir al-'ala'iyye fi al-Umur al-'ala'iyye</i>.<br>Carefully examining the uses of this title in the faximile of the unique Istanbul manuscript, the author of this paper concludes that Ibn Bibi called by this title Törege Khatun, Ögedei's wife and regent after his death. So, the meaning of this term would not be "the subjugated khan", but "khan of the people", because the other title of this regent was "Ulus Beg", which means "the lord of the state".<br>Accordingly, Hülegü's title of "il-khan", when he assumed this title about after twelve years, would mean also "the khan of the people". This regental title should not be maintained after the conversion of Ghazan-khan so this word was omitted from the legend of his coins as well as his soccessors, just like another inscription of "khaghanu nereber (by the order of the khaghan)", which was turned into "Möngke tengrin küchündür (in the strength of the eternal Heaven)".

実生のチャの根は深くまで分布するが, 挿し木によるチャは浅根化の傾向が強い.このことから, 挿し木個体の根系を構成する基本的な根である不定根の伸長方向が, 根系分布と密接な関係を持つのではないかと考えられた.そこで, 我が国の品種, アッサム種, 中国種を用いて, 挿し木苗から生じた不定根(直径1mm以上)の伸長方向の変異について検討した.挿し木は1994年および1995年の6月に行い, いずれも翌年の3月に苗を掘り取って根を調査した.不定根の伸長方向は鉛直線に対してなす角度で表した.我が国の品種はいずれも不定根の伸長角度に変異の幅が小さく, そのほとんどが65〜75゜の比較的大きな角度を示すことが明らかとなった.アッサム種, 中国種は不定根の伸長角度に変異が大きく, さらに, 平均伸長角度は我が国の品種に比べて約15゜小さかった.また, 我が国の品種に比べて, アッサム種, 中国種の多くは不定根の発生が少なかった.以上の結果から, 我が国の品種, アッサム種, 中国種間での不定根伸長方向の多様性が明らかとなった.また, アッサム種, 中国種は, 我が国の品種に比べて深い根系分布を持つ可能性を示唆した.

発酵漬物の製造において,乳酸菌を添加した漬物を検討した.スターターカルチャー用乳酸菌の選択と発酵条件について,以下のような結果を得た.(1) 36株の乳酸菌から発酵漬物に適したものを検索したところ,生育速度が速いこと,好ましい酸味や香りを生産することなどから,8菌株を選択した.(2) 最も好ましい香気を生成した,Leuconostoc paramesenteroides DA-1株について性質を検討した結果,最適発酵温度は10°Cで,食塩0∼3%,グルコース無添加のモデル漬物中でよく発酵した.(3) 大根を用いて低食塩の漬物を調製した結果,Leuc.DA-1株を接種することで,腐敗や変色がおこらず,梅酢様の良好な香気,うま味を生成した.

本稿は,社内ベンチャープロジェクトにおける,技術と市場の統合について扱う.技術と市場の統合の重要性は多くの議論がなされてきたが,その一方で,技術と市場を橋渡しする組織的主体に関する研究があまりなされてこなかった. 本稿では,三洋電機のワンセグ携帯電話の事例をもとに,カンパニー内に設置される事業本部研究所が,社内ベンチャープロジェクトにおいて果たす役割と,そのプロセス管理について分析した.

産学連携の状況は,これまで共著論文,特許引用,産学連携統計により示されてきた.筆者らは,これらの指標とは別に,大学のWeb サイトに現れた情報により,産学連携の状況を分析・計量化することに取り組んでいる.本報告においては,7大学(北海道大学,東北大学,東京大学,名古屋大学,京都大学,大阪大学,九州大学)のWeb サイトに現れた産学連携に関する情報を整理分析した結果,明らかになった特徴を示す.

ドイツにおける産学連携の活性化を,その産学連携組織の制度設計の特徴を洗い出すことで試みた.事例としては,ドイツ人工知能研究所とフラウンホーファー協会という全く異なるタイプの組織の比較を行った.その結果,1)研究所への大学教授の深い関与とそれを支える制度,2)学生のキャリアアップの場として魅力ある教育システムと研究システムが確立,3)財政面で競争と支援が融和,4)知財戦略などの共通点が抽出された.これらの共通点は今後の我が国の産学連携に具体的に導入が可能かどうか,検討に値する.

Rapamycin is a new antifungal antibiotic produced by Streptomyces hygroscopicus NRRL 5491. It was isolated from the mycelium by solvent extraction, purified by silica gel column chromatography and crystallized as a colorless solid which melts at 183-185°C and has the empirical formula C56H89NO14. From its characteristic ultraviolet absorption spectrum rapamycin can be classified as a triene. It is highly active against various Candida species, especially Candida albicans. Its activity is compared with that of amphotericin B, candicidin and nystatin.
