抑うつ者の大半は診断閾値未満の軽症である。人数が多く遷延しやすいため社会的損失はうつ病に匹敵するが、通常は医療の対象外である。認知行動療法(CBT)に期待が集まるが、治療者不足の上、費用対効果が悪い。効率重視のインターネットCBT(iCBT)やグループCBT(GCBT)では、前者は実地では不人気で広がらず、後者は費用対効果や脱落率で優れていても、参加人数に制限がある。就労者は平日昼間や遠隔地からの参加が難しい。赤の他人と同席する煩わしさも敬遠される。本研究では、ウェブ上のVR(仮想現実)空間で参加者がアバター(分身)となり参加するVR-GCBTによるiCBTの抗うつ効果増強を探索的に検討する。

本研究の目的は、地域連携協働事業における学生への教育効果と地域貢献事業としての評価をすることである。岡山県立大学では自治体やNPO 等と連携したアクティブラーニングを通じて地域志向を有した専門性の高い学生の育成を目指している。本事業では、備前市において食を通じて市民の健康づくりや食育の推進、また食に関連したなりわいを通して地域の活性化やまちづくりに取り組む市民を取材し、備前市民に発掘した地元の人財を紹介する冊子を作成し、備前市の健康増進・食育の推進に寄与することを目的に実践学修を行った。学習後のレポートやアンケートから到達目標とした地域志向を高めることや基礎的学士力の向上を認識する学生が多くを占めた。また、地域貢献事業として評価するため、参加自治体の職員や取材対象の市民への調査を行った結果、市民への役立ちに加え、参加職員や取材対象者自身の仕事や活動にとっても役に立ったとのアンケート結果が得られた。 以上から、本取り組みは学生への教育目標「地域志向を高める」に沿った成果や協働自治体において本活動の貢献が認められたことから、今後の継続が期待される。The present study aimed to assess the educational effects of "collaborative projects for the promotion of regional cooperation" on students and their contribution to the community. Okayama Prefectural University implements an active-learning program(to provide opportunities for practical learning)in collaboration with local governments and NPOs to train community-oriented students with expertise The project, or practical learning program, was conducted in Bizen City to : promote the health of its citizens and activities for dietary education, interview the citizens involved in the revitalization and development of the community through food-related activities, introduce skilled and competent people to the public, and contribute to the promotion of health and dietary education in the city. According to the reports submitted by students and the results of a questionnaire conducted following the completion of the program, the majority of them became more community-oriented-a learning goal, and there was an increase in their awareness of the importance of improving basic learning skills. Furthermore, a questionnaire survey involving the staff of participating local governments and citizens interviewed was also conducted to assess the program as a community contribution project. According to the results of the questionnaire, the project was not only helpful for the citizens, but it also contributed to the work and other activities of the staff of participating local governments and citizens interviewed. The project yielded results that are consistent with the educational goal : "increasing the community-oriented minds of students", and collaborative local government positively assessed the contribution of the project. Therefore, the continuation of the project is of significance.

特集 SFCが拓く知の方法論#研究論文近年, 入試形態の多様化が進むにつれて, AO入試による入学者が入学後にどのようなパフォーマンスを発揮しているのかということが注目を集めている。本研究では, SFC在学者に対する質問紙調査をもとに, AO入試入学者と一般入試入学者とを比べて, どのような差が生じているのか —特に, リーダーシップの発揮や, 満足度, 目的意識, SFCへの帰属意識, 精神面の健康状態— を定量的に明らかにすることを目的とする。AO入試を選択する受験者が, そもそも他の入試区分を選択する受験者と根本的に異なっている可能性があり, 入試区分の選択がランダムでないことによって生じるセレクション・バイアスをコントロールするため, 傾向スコアマッチングという手法を用い, 入試区分と上記のような教育成果との因果関係を明らかにすることを試みる。実証分析の結果, AO入試で選抜された入学者は, リーダーシップを発揮し, 何かしらの課題や目標とともに, SFCに帰属意識を持ちつつ大学生活を送っていると判断することができる。特に, AO入試の目的の一つが「問題意識の明確な学生を確保するため」だとするならば, SFCのAO入試という選抜制度はその趣旨にかなった役割を果たすことが出来ていると評価できよう。

本論文の目的は,作家の作風変化を科学的に検証することである.対象としたデータは,現代の日本を代表する作家,村上春樹の長篇12作品とした.12長篇の中で近似的作風を持つ作品群を明示化するため,テクストから得られた語彙を計量化して品詞と意味カテゴリの両分類から特徴ベクトルを抽出し,それぞれの特徴ベクトルからクラスタ分析を行った.その結果,品詞分類からは通時的な区分によってのクラスタが形成され,村上の文体が時代とともに変化しているのが確認できた.また,意味分類からは主題や内容に影響されたクラスタが形成され,村上の関心が個人から社会に向かっていくのが実証できた.

DNA is very attractive as bio-nanomaterials, since it is chemically stable, biocompatible, less toxic, environmentally friendly and easy to synthesize. In addition, the discovery of metal-mediated base pairs, such as T-Hg(II)-T and C-A(gI)-C, has inspired scientists to develop several nanodevices including heavy metal sensor and trapping beads. Recently, we have successfully developed a silver-DNA hybrid nanowire composed only of silver-mediated base pairs, in which Ag(I)make uninterrupted one-dimensional array along the DNA helical axis. In addition, its structure was solved by high-resolution X-ray crystallography. In this article, I present a variety of complicated and beautiful DNA structures and discuss the future outlook of “DNA structural bio-nanotechnology”.

Our study of neurological disorders in Amami-Oshima Island in Eastern Chinese Sea is introduced and some neurological problems in tropical Asian-Oceanian regions are briefly reviewed in this symposium.1) Neurological study in Amami-OshimaWe studied all the inhabitants in a part of Amami-Oshima situated 129° E & 28° N, to find neurologic cases. 104 male and 98 female patients with various neurologic disorders were found among 15, 406 in habitants by means of information survey. The prevalence rate per 100, 000 were estimated 447.8 for hemiplegic state secondary to cerebrovascular accidents, 90.9 for epileptic seizure, 375.0 for mental deteriorations, 64.9 for cerebral infantile palsy, 45.4 for the Parkinsonism, suggesting no significant difference compared with those in the other parts of the world.Then we tried to find cases residing in the whole island with either primary muscle diseases, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or diseases of recent neuroepidemiologic interest. We viewed all the in-and outpatient records for past five years at the Medical Departments in Kagoshima University and Oshima Prefectural Hospital. We confirmed 2 cases of chronic polymyositis, 4 of progressive muscular dystrophy and 1 of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Their prevalence rates are identical with those in the other parts. Besides, we encountered 10 cases of peculiar progressive muscular atrophy of neural origin affecting especially lower limbs. Though they show some similarity to Charcot-Marie's disease, they could be attributed to some endemic nutritional or toxic etiology.2) Recent neurological studies in tropical Asian-Oceanian regions.a) Multiple sclerosis is more prevalent in northerncountries in Europe and America than in southern. This parallelity is confirmed in Australia. Though MS has been believed to be quite rare in Japan, its prevalence rate is recently estimated to be 2-3 per 100, 000, far less than that in European countries. Devic's disease is found in 12.5 % of MS in Japan and in 1 % or less in Europe, suggesting racial factor as well as climatic in this demyelinating disease. MS is more common among white people than the natives in New Zealand and Fiji Islands.b) Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and the remarkable nervous disease called Dementia-Parkinsonism-Complex are astonishingly numerous among Chamor rosin Guamanian Islands. Their correlation is subject to many studies. Neurofibrillary change and granulovacuolar degeneration are found in a similar fashiort in both condition besides their own histological changes.c) Kuru is the unique heredodegenerative disease solely encountered in Fore tribes in the Western Highland of New Guinea. It is a sample of race specific disease of nervous system and studied from various points.d) A variety of neurological studies is now getting on in many of Asian countries. The vast reservoir of neurological diseases in the tropical regions is just beginning to be tapped, and it is likely to yield a wealth of information. On February, 1963, the Commission of Tropical Neurology in the World Federation of Neurology, had reported on the activities in Asia. It is studied neurolues in Ceylon, tuberculoma, lepra, cysticercosis and other neurological infections, postvaccinal demyelinating disease outbursted in South-Eastern Asia, Pellagra, Mn intoxication, multiple sclerosis, Wilson's disease and cerebrovascular disorders in India. It is also reported that nutritional neuropathies are studied in Malaya, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, postvaccinal demyelination in Philippines, various neurological infections in Thailand and Taiwan.

Altruistic behaviour, such as allogrooming and allofeeding, has been suggested to be crucial for maintenance of cooperative relationship especially between non-kin individuals. Monogamous pair-bond, which is widespread in birds, is a form of cooperation for breeding between a male and a female. Many previous studies reported that altruistic behaviour within pair-bonds occurred primarily from males to females. However, most of those findings were obtained from the observations during the breeding season, and therefore it remains unknown what sex-different patterns of altruistic behaviour occur outside the breeding season for life long monogamous birds. The present observation study investigated sex differences of altruistic behaviour within pair-bonds outside the breeding context in a life-long monogamy, large-billed crows (Corvus macrorhynchous). Specifically, frequency of allopreening and allofeeding were compared between sexes and also between pair-bonds. We found that frequency of both behaviour was different between sexes, and inconsistent within and between pair-bonds. Our findings suggest that altruistic behaviour within pair-bonds may occur asymmetrically between sexes but vary between pair-bonds in large-billed crows.
