[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to analyze the activity engagement of the retiree population in South Korea. [Methods] The Korean-Activity Card Sort (K-ACS) was used to collect research data. A One-way ANOVA and post-hoc comparisons showed significant group effects among three age groups. The independent t-tests was used to analyze the differences in mean retained level of activity (MRA) between men and women. [Results] The one-way ANOVA showed statistically significant differences in MRA among different age groups. Scheffé’s test revealed a statistically significant decrease in MRA in Group A, aged more than 75 years, as compared to the other two age groups. When participants were divided by gender, MRA of instrumental activities showed a statistically significant difference between the 65–74 years group and the 55–65 years group, but no difference in females of the leisure activities among the age groups. The independent t-tests demonstrated significant gender differences in MRA of activity of the 55–64 years group. [Conclusion] These findings suggest that health professionals should monitor the changes in retained level of activity after age 75, to maintain their engagement, and the importance of age-, gender- and activity-specific analyses in order to identifying patterns of activity engagement.

Low pressure metal organic chemical vapor deposition (LPMOCVD) of Li_2O solid thin films from Li(DPM) in nitrogen-oxygen or argon-oxygen atmosphere is experimentally investigated by using a small hot wall tubular type reactor. XRD and ESCA analyses revealed that Li_2CO_3 film grows in nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and Li_2O grows in argon-oxygen atmosphere. The grown lithium oxide or carbonate reacts with silicon or silica base materials to produce silicates. The CVD model analysis by means of the well known micro trench method and Monte Carlo simulation was not fully successful, but set of data on gas phase reaction rate constant and surface reaction constant was obtained.

従来の小売国際化の行動主体は先進国市場の先端的小売企業であったが、近年先進国市場以外の国を母国とする小売企業が国際化し始めているという動きに注目し、なぜそれが可能になるのかを明らかにした。研究の結果、以下のことが明確になった。(1)逆進出と呼ぶべき新興国企業の国際化現象が進行しつつあること、(2)逆進出する小売企業は必ずしも発展途上国を母国とする企業であるわけではなく、従来海外小売企業に進出される国を母体とする企業の国際化行動を逆進出と捉えことができること、(3)逆進出は、母国に進出した先端的小売企業と現地新生小売企業との競争的相互作用の結果としての後者の競争優位獲得によって可能となること。

What kind of rationality did Leibniz esteem on the level of sensation? In this essay, I will try to answer this question, from the aspect of his theory of sensation, by focusing on his idea of image and abstraction. In fact, Leibniz did not regard the role of sense perception merely as an occasion of having knowledges, for he says: “it‟s by an admirable economy of the nature that we cannot have abstract thoughts which do not require any sensible things”. It means we should see behind his theory of sensation an insight into the harmony between experience and reason.

Webの位置情報付き画像を用いて,ある特定の対象X について,世界の各地域の代表的 なX 画像を表示するシステムを実現する.実験では,例えば「noodle」というキーワードに対して,代表的な画像として日本ではラーメン画像,ヨーロッパではスパゲティーの画像が,各地域の代表的画像として抽出され,世界各地の様々な「noodle」文化の違いを画像によって容易に理解することが可能となった.

神道の本所である吉田家の玄関帳「御広間雑記」元禄12(1699)年~宝永7(1710)年のインデックス約6200点を作成し、近世神道史研究を発展させるための基礎的作業を行った。あわせて、吉田家・白川家の対抗を考える上で重要な人物である臼井雅胤の活動と、臼井と一条兼香・道香によって創設された白川家八神殿の背景を明らかにした。さらに、17世紀後半における神職による神仏分離の活動が祭礼の由緒の説明に影響を与えていることを示した。
