Tokyo chosen to host the 2020 Olympic Games, there has been an increasing interest in sports tourism as a source for generating new demand in overall tourism to Japan. However, currently we have not seen what we could call an exemplary model for success domestically thus far. What is the important factor to succeed in sports tourism? Based on the research and analysis of the success of Honolulu Marathon, which has been annually drawn over 10,000 Japanese participants for 45 years, we hope to contribute to the development of sports tourism in Japan by finding a core competency that will produce sustainable value in this field.

It is shown that the validity of Ludwig Boltzmann’s statistical approach to thermodynamical asymmetry depends on the metaphysical standpoints concerning time. Price advocates one metaphysical standpoint that denies the direction of time itself, the denial leads to a difficulty in explaining the thermodynamical asymmetry. In the case of Price’s strategy, the direction of the law does not warrant as much explanation as does the constraint condition on the past, which does not work. In contrast, our study advocates the other metaphysical standpoint. Our strategy suggests that the constraint condition on the past does not warrant as much explanation as does the direction of the law. These findings are exactly opposite to those of Price.

本稿の目的は青森県の高校卒業生の進路を地域間格差,ジェンダー差に着目して明らかにすることである。その結果,青森県の高校生の進路状況を全国と比較すると,大学・短大への進学率の低さと就職率の高さが特徴的であることや,専門学校進学率は一貫して全国より低いことが明らかにされた。 青森県の地域区分は6つに分かれており,主要3市(青森,弘前,八戸)を含む3地域(東青・中南・三八)と,郡部の3地域(西北・上北・下北)である。また,青森県内の大学は11校,短大は5校,専門学校は26校あるが,青森県内の高等教育機会は主要3市を含む3地域(東青・中南・三八)に偏在しており,地域間格差が見られる。 高校卒業生の進路状況では,全体として男性ほど就職率が高く,女性ほど進学率が高い。青森県内のいずれの地域も同様の傾向が見られた。地域区分別にみると,東青・中南・三八は進学率が高く就職率が低く,西北・上北・下北は進学率が低く就職率が高い。進学率が高い地域と低い地域(就職率が低い地域と高い地域)があり,「二極分化」の傾向が見られた。こうした傾向は高等教育機会の供給の地域分布に影響を受けつつ,高校偏差値の地域的な格差によって生じている。第4章にあるように,この傾向は北海道とは異なる現象として現れている。

When Nishi Amane introduced Western civilisation into Japan in the mid 19th century, he observed that its essence lies in "philosophy", especially in its Greek origin. I examine therefore the original meaning of "philosophia" in ancient Greece in order to reconsider the possibility of philosophy in modern Japan.First, "philosaphos" as form of a human life is contrasted with the modern concept of "philosophy" as an academic discipline. Asking what a philosopher is inevitably raises a serious question about one's own life, whereas modern philosophy ignores this ethical dimension of "philosophy". Second, Greek thinkers experimented a variety of styles-prose, verse, aphorism, dialogue, speech, and treatise-through which a possibility of doing philosophy was pursued. The conflict between these styles developed philosophical thinking and eventually established universality. Third, Greek philosophy laid the basis for sciences by systematizing the entire area of knowledge. It also founded academic institutions-Academy and Lyceum-to pursue shared research in philosophy and sciences in a free intellectual space. This started the tradition of Western philosophy.Considering these aspects, I suggest that philosophy be reconsidered in our modern society as realisation of a human life. In particular, the concepts of "wisdom" (sophia), "universality", and "soul" (psyche) should be examined in light of Greek philosophy, to which we need to return as a mirror that sheds a new light on our own philosophy.

都市公園設計におけるデザイン目標とデザイン手法の基礎的知見を得るために, 日比谷公園を対象に内部空間の分節状況と分節装置の形態の現状を調査した。その結果, 以下のことがわかった。1) 空間は9タイプ, 27ケ所に整理でき, 休養空間が数も多く面積も大きい。2) 分節装置の素材は植物が中心だが, 石積みや柵も場所によっては使われていた。3) 分節装置の効果は, 独立性, 借景性, 誘引性, 印象緩和性, 景観資源性の5つが確認された。4) 分節装置のデザイン目標とデザイン手法の関係を明らかにし, 13のデザインの型を抽出した。

【背景】妊婦脳梗塞例に対し,血管内治療による急性期再開通療法施行例は報告されていない.【症例】33 歳女性,妊娠37 週,特記すべき既往歴なし.突然の意識障害,左上下肢麻痺で発症.レンズ核,島,放線冠に拡散強調像高信号域を認め,magnetic resonance angiography で右M1 閉塞を認めた.他院よりtPA 投与開始の後,血管内治療目的に当院へ搬送となる.血栓回収療法により,thrombolysis in cerebral infarction 2b の再開通が得られた.治療2 日後に帝王切開にて児を出産した.2カ月後にはmodified Rankin scale 0 に回復した.【結語】本症例はdrip,ship,retrieve,childbirth が成功した初めての症例報告である.

Psychological functions of sharing among junior high school friends were examined and the relationship between shared objects and psychological functions of sharing was investigated. Participants were junior high school students (N=1068). The result of factor analyzing items on psychological functions of sharing indicated the following six factors: "motivation", "increased pleasure", "friendly evaluation from others", "increased feeling of burden", "achievement evaluation from others", and "increased negative evaluations from others." Descriptions of objects shared with friends were classified into eight categories and psychological function of sharing scores was compared for the most important shared object. Result indicated the following; 1) "psychological sharing" such as "feelings" and "goals" had positive functions. 2) "Material sharing" such as "things" did not have either a positive or negative functions. 3) "Behavioral sharing" such as "chatting" and "school activities" had negative functions. These results suggest that friendships that included "psychological sharing" increased "motivation" and "pleasure" in junior high school students, and was deeper than friendships based on "behavioral sharing" and "material sharing".

発展途上国での金採掘は小規模で,金の抽出に大量の水銀が使用される。この金属水銀が環境中に放出され大気や河川を汚染し,さらに水中で無機水銀からメチル水銀へ転換され食物連鎖を通じて魚介類への蓄積が生じる。金採掘に携わる作業者だけでなく,このメチル水銀による汚染が食糧源を魚介類に依存する住民に対し健康被害をもたらすと懸念されている地域もある。本稿では世界各地で行われているこのような金採掘とそれに伴う環境汚染や環境破壊の実態と問題点を明らかにする。

第四紀の成層火山を持っ流域の地形発達には,大規模山体崩壊など,火山特有の侵食過程に伴う土砂供給が関与し得る.本稿ではその一例として前橋・高崎地域の地形発達を検討した.24ka頃,利根川が形成する扇状地面上に前橋泥流堆積物が堆積した結果,泥流堆積域で地表が緩傾斜化し,河床高度が増した.利根川は泥流堆積面を侵食し,16ka以降,河道を定めて広瀬面を形成した.前橋泥流堆積面である前橋面上には,前橋泥炭層が広範に形成された.11ka頃,前橋泥流堆積面を侵食していた烏川の谷を含む高崎地域に,井野川泥流堆積物が流下し,鳥川は河道を現在の位置に変えた.この烏川は井野川泥流堆積面(高崎面)を下刻し,高崎面が離水した.さらに,高崎面東部で井野川泥流堆積物を刻む水系が,侵食面の井野面を形成した.両泥流の堆積は,本地域における複数回の大規模な河道変遷を招き,ひいては地形発達を長期的に規定してきた.

月面基地や有人火星探査のための食料生産への関心が高まっており、イネは宇宙における日本特有の栽培作物候補として極めて有用である。超矮性イネ‘小僧の栖’は世界最小の糯種であり、水田において草丈約30cmのコンパクトな草姿は、宇宙の狭い閉鎖環境内での栽培に最適である。本種を栽培するための装置と管理方法の開発は必須である。また、食味についての評価も必要である。そこで、水田と容器栽培による生育と収量を調査するとともに、コメの成分と食味について明らかにした。さらに、新たなイネ栽培装置を企画し、新規のLED照明を備えた装置を組み立て、性能を評価した。

本論文は、何度も繰り返される主題や、キャラクターに観客を同一化させる固有の視覚的特徴を持たないがゆえに、十全に論じられてはいない高畑作品の美的資質に着目し、彼の作品におけるキャラクターと世界の構築方法を明らかにする。高畑作品の意味は、作品関連グッズ販売やファン活動から派生していない。それはアニメーション自体に内在している。高畑は、お手軽なジャンルの枠組みのなかに留まらずに、幸せで、感情的に満足できる結末には至らない叙述を生み出し、アニメーションの大衆的な魅力とその消費に異を唱えた。本論文は、『アルプスの少女ハイジ』(1974)、『かぐや姫の物語』(2013)、『火垂るの墓』(1988)、『おもひでぽろぽろ』(1991)のシークェンスを詳細に検討し、アニメの構造と美学に関する規範に対する高畑の挑戦が、彼の制作過程の一部であり、彼の作品を際立つものにしていたことを明らかにする。
