戦後日本の書店業界は他の業界と比較すると平穏な歩みであったろう, つい十数年前までは飛躍の一途であった。そして時代の変化との連動に不協和音が発生したまさにその時期に, 電撃のように襲い掛かったのがジュンク堂書店である。その最大店舗池袋店は1997年オープン, その後の増床を経て, 2001年12月現在で営業床面積2000坪で日本一, 販売在庫数では世界一の規模を誇っている。本文はこのジュンク堂の顧客戦略をモデルケースにして分析し, 戦後日本書籍業界の辿った道のりと, 現状の問題点を浮彫りにしたい。この困難な時期をどう乗り越えるか, 今が, 出版界のこれからを左右する大切な岐路であるだろうから。

Atypical Odontalgia (AO) is a condition characterized by tooth pain with no apparent cause and hypersensitivity to stimuli in radiographically normal teeth. Patients complain of continuous pain even after extended endodontic treatment. This report presents two cases of AO in patients who visited our clinic in 2007 from the psychosomatic perspective. We examined their medical histories, treatment procedures and prescriptions as described in their medical records.(Case 1)Female, 39 years old. Chief complaint: Pain on the right maxillary second premolar. The patient felt pain on the right maxillary first molar and the crown of the tooth was removed. She subsequently changed clinics and the tooth was extracted. Laser therapy and a pulpectomy were provided on account of the pain but she again changed clinics because of the constant toothache. She visited our clinic while receiving treatment at a pain clinic. SAIDs and milnacipran were ineffective. The pain was alleviated by amitriptyline.(Case 2)Female, 38 years old. Chief complaint: Post extraction pain on the right maxillary molar and right orbital pain. The right maxillary molar was extracted after repeated root canal treatment (RCT) but the pain remained following tooth extraction and she next visited oral surgery. She was diagnosed as normal by the oral surgeon, and then visited our clinic. She refused to take antidepressants at first in spite of repeated counseling to do so, but did agree to take the medicines after three months. The pain was relieved by amitriptyline.It is very difficult to diagnose AO due to the very nature of dental treatment. Despite the reports that some antidepressants are effective against AO, dentists often have difficulty in treating AO patients due to individual variations in the response to medicines. Further, as the patients themselves believe that their pain is caused by dental problems, they sometimes refuse antidepressants. Patients are inclined to become angry or distrustful because of their prolonged pain and repeated dental treatment, so it is important both to prescribe appropriate medications and to be receptive and listen attentively to what they say.

食物アレルギー歴のない17歳女性が,すき焼きを摂取後にアナフィラキシーを起こした症例を経験した.皮膚試験で陽性であったエノキタケを入院の上オープン法で経口負荷試験しエノキタケが原因食品であることが確かめられた.これまでエノキタケによるアナフィラキシーの報告はなく,アレルゲンについても報告されていない.今回患者血清を利用しアレルゲンの同定を試みた.市販のエノキタケから抗原を抽出し,患者血清を用いてWestern-blottingを行ったところ,複数のタンパク質バンド(18kDa,39kDa,50kDa)に特異的な反応がみられ,これらがアレルゲンであると考えた.

Recent advances in inductively coupled plasma source-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) has enabled us to determine trace and ultra-trace elements contained in various geochemical samples. Due to the high sensitivity and rapid mass scanning features of ICP-MS, multiple element analysis for trace elements can be performed without any pre-concentration procedure. The high sensitivity also permits direct spot analysis of solid geochemicl samples using laser ablation (LA) or laser probe (LP) sampling techniques. Spatial resolution as fine as 5-15μm has been achieved in the LP system. However, despite the great analytical ability of ICP-MS, some care should be taken in quantitative analyses. Spectroscopic interferences such as oxide molecular ions (MO+), doubly charged ions (M++), and polyatomic ions (i. e., ArX+) affect the accuracy of measurements for the certain elements.Non-spectroscopic interferences, known as the matrix effect, also affect the analytical accuracy. There are two causes of the matrix effect: one originates in the plasma equilibrium and the other is the mass discrimination effect in an ion beam known as the "space charge effect". Differences in both the major chemical composition and introduction volume of analyte shift the aspect of the matrix effect. In order to attain high precision and accuracy in the analysis, optimization of the facility setting and analytical procedure is required to minimize those interferences. The problem in LA analysis is elemental fractionation mainly due to thermal heating of the sampling site during the laser ablation. This paper presents the facilities, functions, and analytical techniques of ICP-MS. Actual examples of terrestrial water analysis, rock analysis using solution samples, and micro analysis of minerals and bulk-rock analysis using LA-ICP-MS are also presented in this paper.

Most mammals possess microstructural decussation in the tooth enamel. The HunterSchreger bands(HSB)are the important microstructure created by differently directed enamel prisms, as observed under a reflective light microscope. The prism decussation of some rhinocerotoids reveals that HSB run vertically along the axis of the tooth. The boundary between the bands is definite in the tangential section. Teleoceras is an extinct rhinocerotoid that was commonly found in the Miocene area of North America. Our observations revealed vertical prism decussation in the inner two-thirds to four-fifths of the Teleoceras molar enamel. The prisms strongly twisted on each axis, and the path of each prism undulated at the border of the bands. Their relative relations revealed inclinational changes and displacement to the adjacent zone of the HSB. Reconstructed threedimensional images were used for complementation of microscopic observations.

本研究の目的は、看護基礎教育において誰を対象にしたどのような研究が行われ、何が明らかにされているかを整理し、今後の看護基礎教育における国際看護学教育の課題を検討することである。20件の研究文献を分類・検討・整理した。海外体験(研修)をもとにした学習や学生の国際看護学に対するイメージや意識に関することが明らかになった。しかし、共通した教育理念や教育目標は見出すことができなかったことから、コンピテンシーモデルの構築および能力開発という点で、いまだ不十分であることが推測される。

We describe the history and the present state of the Official Residence for the Commander of Karafuto-Guards, which was completed in 1908. We also deal with its suspected designer, Army Architect Yasushi Tamura (1878-1942), who is known as the designer of the Divisional Headquarters Office of the Imperial Guards. The official residence has high value in the modern architectural history not only because it is one of the oldest buildings of the Japanese colonial period in Sakhalin, but also because it was a dwelling house built for the people of highest class in Sakhalin.

本論文は「日本はどのように西洋(特に英国,米国)のメディアによって報じられているか」に関する観察と分析である。娯楽用としか思えない歪曲,誇張された内容の記事が一流の高級紙の紙面をかざることを問題とする。そうしたソフト・ニュースを対象とした論文である。外国報道には様々な思惑としたたかな計算とがある。こういった記事が何故書かれるのか。どうしてその国の人々にとっての「娯楽」となり得るのか。そこに散りばめられているステレオタイプ・イメージはどういう歴史を持っていて,なぜ再生されて生き続けるのか。New Journalismと名付けられるこういったメディアの特徴を整理する。ここに登場する日本は外国が手に掲げる「歪んだ鏡」に写し出された日本である。日本はそれを放置すべきか,また何らかの手を講ずるべきか。

As the earth's third pole, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau belongs to one of the most sensitive regions to climate change in the world. Based on the observed and the simulated daily precipitation from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5), we evaluated the simulation performance of daily precipitation from selected CMIP5 models from 1975 to 2005 over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. We found that daily precipitation exhibited obvious long-range correlation characteristics using the detrended fluctuation analysis method. The scaling exponents of daily precipitation in summer and autumn are significantly larger than those in spring and winter. MIROC4H with the best performance can reproduce long-range correlation characteristic of daily precipitation series probably because of the higher resolution, which can capture small scale cloud convections. Besides there are seasonal differences in the simulation results among different regions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, simulation effects of all climate models in summer and winter are better than those in spring and autumn. The performance of MIROC4H model works the best in spring. Overall, the scaling exponents of daily precipitation from BCC-CSM1-1-M, CMCC-CM and MIROC4H are close to the observations. CCSM4 and MIROC4H climate models could reproduce the internal dynamics characteristic of daily precipitation in autumn. But for winter, all climate models have exaggerated the scaling value in southeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau compared with the observed values.

アムールトラ雌2頭と雄1頭から糞を採取し,凍結乾燥後にメタノールでステロイドホルモンを抽出し,ETA法により糞中含量を測定した.雌のエストラジオール-17βと雄のテストステロン値は,年間を通しで顕著に変動した.雌2個体のエストラジオール-17βはそれぞれ26.4±8.0と28.0±14.2日間隔で上昇した.しかし,プロジェステロンは単独飼育した雌では変動せず,雄と同居させた雌では交尾後増加し,妊娠した1例で最終交尾から106日後に出産するまで高い値が維持されていた.
