Crystal structures and electron density distributions of some manganese and cobalt oxide materials have been studied by the maximum entropy method using single-crystal X-ray diffraction data measured at room temperature. The nature of chemical bonding in these oxides is understood from the present structural and electron density analyses. The features of electron density distribution obtained theoretically by FLAPW calculations for these oxides were in good agreement with the present experimental observations.

駆け込み乗車等により、列車ドアに体の一部や持ち物等が挟まれる事例が多発している。その場合、そのまま発車すると事故に繋がる恐れがある。現在は、駅員の目視による確認等で防止しているが、これらは人間の判断であるため完全ではない。そこで本研究では、レーザ光と受光素子を用いた列車ドアによる挟み込み事故防止システムを提案する。レーザ光をドアの中央上部から下に向けて照射し、ドア下に設置された受光素子で受光する。ドアに物体が挟まった場合、受光素子に照射されるレーザ光が物体で遮断されることで、物体の挟み込みを検知することができる。これにより、目視で確認できない部分も確実に検知し、事故を防止することが可能になる。

This paper shows how to use iPads in collaborative learning and reveals how it affects students' attitudes toward learning English. In the experimental classes, students were asked to take videos of their roleplaying in English with iPads. Before taking videos, they made slideshows about their role-playing and practiced pronunciation by using some iOS apps. The students' feedback about the method was generally positive. Also I found that iPads in collaborative learning (1) increased students' motivation to study English, (2) encouraged autonomy, and (3) made them more active communicators.

近年,低コスト・短納期・標準化といった観点から,AndroidやBusyBoxに代表される組込みオープンソースソフトウェアが積極的に採用されている.オープンソースソフトウェアは,世界中の誰もが開発に参加でき,ソースコードが公開され,誰でも自由に改変可能なソフトウェアであることから,急激に普及が広まっており,最近では,組込み機器に対してもAndroidやBusyBoxに代表される組込みオープンソースソフトウェアが積極的に採用されつつある.本論文では,iOSのApp StoreやAndroidのGoogle Playのようなインストーラの振る舞いを考慮したハザードレートモデルに基づく信頼性評価法を提案する.さらに,提案モデルに基づく信頼性評価ツールをAIRアプリケーションとして開発し,実際のオープンソースソフトウェアのソフトウェア故障発生時間間隔データに対する信頼性評価例を示す.

S-1 is an oral form mixture of tegafur (FT) which produces 5-FU, 5-chloro-2, 4-dihydroxypyridine (CDHP) which inhibits 5-FU degradation and oxonic acid (Oxo) which reduces 5-FU toxicities, in a molar ratio of 1 : 0.4 : 1. Pharmacokinetics of S-1 were studied using tumor-bearing animals. Bioavailahility : AUC<SUB>po</SUB>/AUC<SUB>iv</SUB> ratios of FT, CDHP and 5-FU in rabbits were almost 100% with some individual differences, while that of Oxo was 10% or less. The ratio showed a tendency to be higher in fasting animals than in feeding animals, especially in the case of 5-FU (P<0.05). CDHP and Oxo : In tumor-bearing rabbits and mice, CDHP was absorbed well and distributed at high levels in the GI tract and kidney, and detected at moderate levels in the liver, tumor and plasma. The most part of Oxo remained in the GI tract and it was also detected at a high concentration in the kidney, while at low in the liver, tumor and bone marrow. 5-FU following dose escalation of S-1 : S-1 was administered to tumor-bearing rats at doses of 2, 5, 10, 20 mg/kg. AUCs<SUB>0&sim;24h</SUB> of 5-FU were observed at the highest in the tumor in any dosing groups, in order of tumor>bone marrow>spleen>kidney>GI tract>liver and plasma. However, it was noticeable that AUC<SUB>tumor</SUB>/AUC<SUB>plasma</SUB> ratio rather decreased as the escalation of S-1 dose. The reason would be that 5-FU increased non-linearly in the plasma and most normal tissues following the dose escalation of S-1. Based on these data, the optimum dosage of S-1 in humans should be established to maximize the anticancer effects and minimize the adverse reactions.

本学は少子高齢化社会の進展を背景に、神戸市立看護専門学校を前身として、1981年4月に兵庫県下初の看護学単科の公立短期大学として関学した。その後、看護大学の開学に伴い、神戸市看護大学短期大学部へと名称変更し、第2看護学科の廃止、看護学科の定員減少をへて、平成17年3月に閉学を迎えるに至った。1993年以降卒業生を対象とした動向調査は行われていない。そこで、閉学を迎えるにあたり本学で学んだ閉学時までの全卒業を対象に調査しその動向を把握し、専門職者としての自立とキャリアアップについて本学の果たした社会的役割や貢献を明らかにするために2004年の8月から9月にかけて2593名の卒業生を対象に、アンケート調査を実施した。本報ではその結果の中から有効回答数668名の卒業生の動向および就業状況について明らかにした。

Oxidative stress is thought to be etiologically related to atherosclerosis. Experimental evidence clearly demonstrates the presence of oxidized LDL (oxLDL) in the intima of arteries and that it contributes to the initiation and progression of atherosclerotic lesions. We have recently demonstrated that oxLDL interacts with β2-glycoprotein I (β2-GPI) to form complexes and that these complexes circulate in the blood stream of patients not only with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) but also with other systemic inflammatory diseases. Our in vitro experiments showed that oxLDL quickly interacts with β2-GPI via specific ligands generated by oxidation, in which the negative charge of oxLDL is neutralized by the complex formed. It was also shown that β2-GPI/oxLDL complexes are taken up by macrophages via lgG anti-β2-GPI autoantibody-mediated phagocytosis. Thus, IgG immune complexes with oxLDL and β2-GPI are thought to be atherogenic and β2-GPI/oxLDL complexes maybe implicated as autoantigens relevant in autoimmune-mediated atherogenesis in APS patients. In contrast, a set of reports indicated that natural antibodies (mainly of the IgM class) derived from hyperlipidemic mice reduced the incidence of atherosclerosis in experimental models. Further study should elucidate whether IgG and/or IgM antibodies induced to oxLDL and β2-GPI/oxLDL complexes in APS are pathogenic or protective, or are an epiphenomenon in the development of arterial thrombosis.
