本稿では,訓練データの自動拡張による語義曖昧性解消の精度向上方法について述べる.評価対象として,SemEval-2010 日本語語義曖昧性解消タスクを利用した.本稿では,まず,配布された訓練データのみを利用して学習した場合の結果を紹介する.更に,辞書の例文,配布データ以外のセンスバンク,ラベルなしコーパスなど,さまざまなコーパスを利用して,訓練データの自動拡張を試みた結果を紹介する.本稿では,訓練データの自動獲得により 79.5% の精度を得ることができた.更に,対象語の難易度に基づき,追加する訓練データの上限を制御したところ,最高 80.0% の精度を得ることができた.

Soybean dwarf virus (SbDV) causes serious dwarfing, yellowing and sterility in soybean (Glycine max). The soybean cv. Adams is tolerant to SbDV infection in the field and exhibits antibiosis to foxglove aphid (Aulacorthum solani), which transmits SbDV. This antibiosis (termed “aphid resistance”) is required for tolerance to SbDV in the field in segregated progenies of Adams. A major quantitative trait locus, Raso1, is reported for foxglove aphid resistance. Our objectives were to fine map Raso1 and to reveal whether Raso1 alone is sufficient to confer both aphid resistance and SbDV tolerance. We introduced Raso1 into cv. Toyomusume by backcrossing and investigated the degree of aphid antibiosis to foxglove aphid and the degree of tolerance to SbDV in the field. All Raso1-introduced backcross lines showed aphid resistance. Interestingly, only one Raso1-introduced backcross line (TM-1386) showed tolerance to SbDV in the field. The results demonstrated Raso1 alone is sufficient to confer aphid resistance but insufficient for SbDV tolerance. Tolerance to SbDV was indicated to require additional gene(s) to Raso1. Additionally, Raso1 was mapped to a 63-kb interval on chromosome 3 of the Williams 82 sequence assembly (Glyma1). This interval includes a nucleotide-binding site–leucine-rich repeat encoding gene and two other genes in the Williams 82 soybean genome sequence.

本論文は正準相関分析を用いて顔表情画像から感情の程度を測定する手法を提案する.ここでは,顔表情のグレースケール画像およびその表情・感情を主観評価した値(快-不快および覚醒-沈静)との2種類の変量間における正準相関を分析する.顔表情画像に対する人の視線の動きから求めた注視特性を,本測定法の加重関数として組み込み,その有効性を述べる.また,画像のサンプル数の不足から生じる非正則な共分散データの場合,その情報を効率的に分析するために,中間変数を導入した正準相関分析の分解手法を提案する.また,ガウスカーネルによる非線形カーネル正準相関分析の効果について,線形の正準相関分析と比較し,その有効性を示す.男性と女性に分けた顔表情画像データベースに対して Leave-One-Out法による数値実験を行った結果と動画像に対する測定実験を行った結果を示すことにより,本提案法の有効性を示す.

Isotopic compositions of Sr and Nd were determined for the volcanic rocks from the Izu Islands Arc. The volcanic rocks from the volcanic front zone show variable Nd isotopes ranging from 0.513088 to 0.513125 of 143Nd/144Nd with an average εNd of 9.0±0.3, and 87Sr/86Sr from 0.70318 to 0.70355 with an average εSr of -16.1±0.7. The back arc side volcanics show slightly lower Nd and Sr isotopic ratios as 143Nd/144Nd from 0.512994 to 0.513066 with an average εNd of 7.8±0.4 and 87Sr/86Sr form 0.70299 to 0.70325 with average εSr of -19.9±0.4. Across arc isotopic variation of Sr and Nd from the volcanic front to the back-arc side is attributed to difference in the degree that the magmas of the subduction zones are generated by the addition of the fluid which is extracted from the hydrous minerals in the down-going slab. Magmas in the volcanic front are much more affected by the addition of the considerable amount of the fluid than the back-arc side magmas and altered Sr and Nd isotopic compositions from their original values of the mantle wedge. The role of the fluid from the down-going slab for magma generation is isotopically assessed in the intra-oceanic Izu arc, and the Nd and Sr isotopic compositions of the fluid extracted from the down-going slab is equivalent with those of the altered MORB.

【目的】日本における鶏卵消費量は約250万tであり、その内約半量が家庭用としてスーパーマーケット等で販売されている。一般的に生鮮物(生魚、野菜等)に対して持つイメージと同様に、鶏卵も産まれたての方が美味しく、卵料理についても同様に産まれたての鶏卵を用いた方が美味しいと思われがちであるが、科学的な根拠が示されることは少ない。そこで本研究では、低温管理における鶏卵の産卵後日数が、代表的な卵料理である茹卵と厚焼卵の物性と食味特性等に与える影響について、様々なデータを取得して検討を行い、結果を得たので報告する。【方法】産卵された鶏卵を0から10日まで10℃にて保管し、EGGマルチテスタを使用してハウ・ユニットを測定した。さらに茹卵と厚焼卵を調製してpH、破断応力、食味特性等について測定を行った。【結果】今回の試験の結果、茹卵、厚焼き玉子共に産まれたての鶏卵を用いたものより、10℃である程度保存した鶏卵を用いた場合の方が、より美味しいと評価されるものを調製することが出来た。茹卵については、経時的に鶏卵の卵白部pHが上昇し、脱殻性が向上した。また茹卵としての美味しさについても、卵白の食味(食感)が良くなる、茹卵らしい香り(硫化水素臭)が生じてくる、というような要素で評価が上がった。厚焼き玉子については、もろく離水の多い食味から経時的によりしっかりとした食感への移行が見られ、卵らしい香り(卵風味)についても経時的に評価が上がる傾向が見られた。

[目的] 鶏卵は、抗菌性が高く、比較的保存に耐えられることは、一般にはあまり知られておらず、消費者は、生鮮食品として産卵後の時間が短いほどよしとし、生産者はそれに応じて可能な限り、産卵後時間経過の短いものを市場に提供しようと労力を費やしている。そこで鶏卵の産卵後の保存が、食味に及ぼす影響について検討を行った。[方法] 検討方法は鶏卵の性状測定と、官能評価によった。試料の鶏卵は、同一条件で産卵させたものを用い、これを冷蔵(5℃)および常温(15から20℃)で保存し、それぞれ保存日数(0.5,10,20,40日間)を変えたものを使用した。性状についてはpH、重量、ハウユニットの変化を測定した。官能評価は3種の調理(ゆで卵、卵豆腐、煎り卵)をおこない、7段階の評点法で評価した。パネルは20から60歳代の女性15名で構成し、評価を3回繰り返して行い、その平均値を採用した。[結果] pHは、保存0日では酸性を示すが、日を経るごとにアルカリ性に傾いた。重量は、経過日数ごとに暫減し、最終的に冷蔵保存で2%、常温保存で7%の減少がみられた。ハウユニットは、日数の経過に従って数値の減少がみられた。いずれも冷蔵保存に比べ、常温保存の変化が大であった。ゆで卵の官能評価は、保存0日を除いて、冷蔵、常温保存ともに保存方法、保存日数による顕著な差がなく評価されたが、保存0日では卵白の味、テクスチャーの評価が顕著に低値であった。卵豆腐、煎り卵についてはいずれも保存方法、保存日数による顕著な差がなく評価された。以上から、鶏卵は少なくとも産卵後40日までは、味覚上の変化がないといえよう。

Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-α (PPARα) regulates lipid metabolism. We have reported that tomato fruit contains 9-Oxo-(10E,12E)-octadecadienoic acid (9-Oxo-(10E,12E)-ODA), a PPARα agonist. In this study, we found that various tomato samples contained 9-Oxo-(10E,12Z)-ODA and its 13-Oxo-ODA isomers. Furthermore, several isomers showed structural stability under hot and acidic conditions.

本論文では,組込み向けコンポーネントシステムであるTECSの仕様に基づいて開発した,LEGO社製MindstormsNXT用ソフトウェアプラットフォームATON(ASP+TECS On NXT)について述べる.ATONは,TECSを用いることにより,未使用デバイスのデバイスドライバの取り外しによるメモリ使用量の削減を可能とし,また,モデルを用いたソフトウェア開発との親和性を高めている.これらを実現するために,タスクやセマフォなどのリアルタイムOSの扱うオブジェクトやNXTに搭載されているデバイスのデバイスドライバをTECS仕様に従ってコンポーネント化している.倒立二輪ライントレースロボットの制御ソフトウェアをATON上に実装する事例によりATONの有用性を示した.

画像ベースレンダリング法を用いて,Webブラウザ上で自由視点画像を合成するシステムを提案する.本システムは,クラウド環境で動作する光線空間モデリングと,Webブラウザ上で動作する自由視点画像レンダリングのソフトウェアで構成される.モデリングには,画像特徴を利用したStructure from Motion法を用い,未校正の画像集合から,自動で光線空間を復元する.レンダリングには,透視変換の近似アルゴリズムを用い,Webブラウザ上で対話的な速度で画像を合成する.我々の手法は,3次元の形状モデルを必要とする既存のWeb3D技術に対して,(1)表示対象の形状モデル復元が不要,(2)合成画像が写実的,(3)標準的な計算機環境で利用可能,という利点がある.作成したモデルは,標準的なHTMLの形式で配布可能であり,単独のコンテンツとして閲覧するほか,既存のWebサイトへ埋め込んで利用できる.これにより,今まで静止画を利用していた様々なWebアプリケーションに,対話的な3Dグラフィクスの機能を追加できる.

ASA分類1,2の犬48臨床例に対しメデトミジンとミダゾラム(MM)を投与し,気管挿管後イソフルランと酸素で麻酔維持を行った。自発呼吸で維持し動脈血液ガスを分析した後,35症例で人工呼吸に変更し13症例では自発呼吸を維持し,15~30分後に血液ガスの分析を行った。ただし自発呼吸時にEtCO2が45 mmHgを超えた場合は,10秒に1回補助呼吸を用手で入れた。その結果,人工呼吸を行った場合pH,PaCO2,PaO2/FIO2(P/F ratio)および肺胞気-動脈血酸素分圧較差(P(A-a)O2)で有意な改善が認められた。結果よりMMを麻酔前投薬として用いイソフルランで麻酔維持を行った場合,換気能や肺の酸素化能の低下が示唆された例があった。また人工呼吸時にはこれらの症状が改善したため,MMを麻酔前投薬として用いイソフルランで麻酔維持を行った症例では人工呼吸を行う意義があると考えられた。

Cyanocobalamin, deoxyadenosylcobalamin and methylcobalamin were separately administered to mice sensitized with the ovalbumin antigen to investigate the allergic response. The serum IgE and pulmonary histamine concentrations were significantly lower in all cobalamin (Cbl)-administered groups. The production of interleukin (IL)-2 and IL-4 in splenocytes was also lower in all Cbl-administered groups. These results show that Cbls were effective in mitigating allergic reactions and IL-2 production. CD3+CD28+ (CD28 is an accessory molecule related to IL-2 production) and CD4+CD28+ in splenocytes were higher in all the Cbl-administered groups. However, CD3+CD28-, CD4+CD28- and CD5+CD25- (CD25: IL-2 Rα/p55) were lower in the Cbl-administered groups. In addition, Cbl specifically inhibited the cellular phosphorylation of tyrosine induced by ovalbumin sensitization. These results indicate that the signal in a cell by CD 28 was restrained by Cbl. We infer that Cbl administration significantly reduced the IL-2 concentration, and secondarily the IL-4, IgE and histamine concentrations.

An increase in short-term blood pressure (BP) variability is a characteristic feature in the elderly. It makes the management of hemodynamics more difficult, because it is frequently seen disturbed baro-reflex function and increased arterial stiffness, leading to isolated systolic hypertension. Large BP variability aggravates hypertensive target organ damage and is an independent risk factor for the cardiovascular (CV) events in elderly hypertensive patients. Therefore, appropriate control in BP is indispensable to manage lifestyle-related diseases and to prevent subsequent CV events. In addition, accumulating recent reports show that excessive BP variability is also associated with a decline in cognitive function and fall in the elderly. In the clinical settings, we usually evaluate their health condition, mainly with single point BP measurement using cuff inflation. However, unfortunately we are not able to find the close changes in BP by the traditional way. Here, we can show our advantageous approach of continuous BP monitoring using newly developing device `wearable BP sensing' without a cuff stress in the elderly. The new device could reflect systolic BP and its detailed changes, in consistent with cuff-based BP measurement. Our new challenge suggests new possibility of its clinical application with high accuracy.

Adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (Ad-MSCs) are a promising source of cells for bone tissue engineering. Matrigel is a basement membrane extract containing multiple extracellular components. This mixture may promote the osteogenic differentiation of MSCs and provide a more appropriate microenvironment for the transplanted cells. Here we investigated the effect of Matrigel on the osteogenic potential of Ad-MSCs. Canine Ad-MSCs were cultured in 2D and 3D matrices, and implanted into subcutaneous pouches of dogs either with or without Matrigel. Culture mineralization, cell adhesion efficiency, cell proliferation, osteoid matrix production, and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase activities were quantified and compared. Ad-MSCs grown in 2D cultures with Matrigel showed higher levels of calcium deposition and ALP activity than those grown in the absence Matrigel under osteogenic conditions. In 3D cultures, the cells cultivated with Matrigel showed greater attachment, proliferation, and osteogenic differentiation than those grown without Matrigel. In vivo, Ad-MSCs implanted with Matrigel showed higher osteogenic potential than those without Matrigel. In conclusion, these data suggest that the use of Matrigel can increase the osteogenic potential of canine Ad-MSCs.

A cat was presented with severe progressive anemia despite marked erythroblastosis. The cat was negative for feline leukemia virus antigen and feline immunodeficiency virus antibody. Bone marrow cytology revealed an excess of erythroid cells with a predominance of prorubricytes and basophilic rubricytes. No response to immunosuppressive therapy was obtained, and a tentative diagnosis of myelodysplastic syndrome was made. The cat showed a partial response to low-dose cytarabine (20 mg/m2 subcutaneously q24), but died 51 days after the first admission. Histopathological examination revealed fibrosis in the bone marrow and marked infiltration of erythroid cells into other organs.

A 15-month-old male beagle dog used in a toxicity study had a primary renal mesenchymal tumor. Macroscopically, the tumor was a gray-white mass which was found in the right kidney, and extended from the capsule to a position slightly compressing the medulla. Microscopically, most of the tumor cells showed a myxoid pattern, in which the matrix was positive for alcian blue staining. In the other parts of the tumor, a fascicular and wavy pattern was observed, and the matrix was full of collagen fibrils. Immunohistochemically, tumor cells were positive for vimentin and fibronectin, and negative for cytokeratin, desmin, á-smooth muscle actin, Von Willebrand factor, cyclooxigenase-2 and myelin basic protein. As a result, we diagnosed this case to be a renal mesenchymal tumor. Based on the microscopic findings, interstitial characteristics and immunohistochemical features, the present case was classified as a congenital mesoblastic tumor.

MicroRNA-145 (miRNA-145; miR-145) is aberrantly expressed in most of human cancers and plays a significant role in carcinogenesis and cancer progression. In the current study, we focused on how miR-145 plays a role in canine and human malignant melanomas. MiR-145 was significantly downregulated in canine malignant melanoma tissues and canine melanoma cell lines, as well as human melanoma cell lines tested. The ectopic expression of miR-145 showed a significant growth inhibition in both canine and human melanoma cells tested, and the effect was achieved partly by suppressing c-MYC in canine melanoma LMeC and in human melanoma A2058 and Mewo cells. At the same time, a suppressive tendency on cell migration in canine melanoma KMeC cells and significant suppression of cell migration in human melanoma A2058 cells by suppressing FASCIN1 were also found. These findings suggest that miR-145 acts as a tumor suppressor in both canine and human malignant melanomas.

We found a case of salivary mucocele that originated in the minor salivary gland (palatine gland) of the soft palate in a dog. At first admission, the soft palate swelled remarkably. Computed tomography (CT) revealed cystic radiolucency inside a large quantity of liquid in the soft palate, and most of the airway was occupied. Marsupialization was performed, but since a recurrence was observed one month later, the salivary mucocele was removed. There has been no report of salivary mucocele arising from the minor salivary gland of the soft palate in dogs. To our knowledge, this case is the first. Complete removal, including minor salivary glands surrounding the lesion, is necessary for treatment of salivary mucocele in dogs.

A simple method of lymphography of the thoracic duct was investigated. Using three female beagles, contrast media were administered rectally, vaginally and into the perianal tissue. The administration sites were gently massaged, and imaging was carried out at constant intervals using computed tomography and radiograph. Moreover, Indian ink was administered into the rectum mucous membrane in dogs for proof of this method of lymphography, and the lymph drainage routes were observed. The investigation showed that clear computed tomography and radiographic contrast images of the thoracic duct were obtained by subcutaneous and submucosa injection of angiography contrast medium and 3D processing of these images revealed the three-dimensional positions and course of the thoracic duct and cisterna chyli.

Al–1.0 mass%Mg2Si–0.34 mass%Si alloy specimens which had been aged at 423 K for various times were tensile tested at room temperature. Changes in local deformation near grain boundaries with aging time were investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy. When a little loss in elongation occurred at early stage of aging, the folds generated at the grain triple junction. But they were very ambiguous and did not develop with increasing amount of deformation. The fold formations were difficult to be explained by the maximum resolved shear stress on a grain boundary plane (Fmax). If the elongation appreciably decreased and intergranular fracture began to occur with the progress of aging, the folds developed and became more clear. The fold formations at this stage could be explained by the Fmax in many cases. Frequencies of fold formations increased with the aging time over a range of under-aged to peak-aged condition, and this correlated approximately to the decrease in elongation. Even if the elongation considerably recovered in the specimen which had been aged at 473 K up to over-aged condition, the frequency of fold formation was similar to that of the peak-aged condition. In this case, however, two types of folds which had developed largely or had developed scarcely with the progress of deformation were observed and the frequency of the former ones decreased to about a half of the all folds.
