In this study, low cycle fatigue tests were conducted for carbon steel, STS410, low alloy steel, SFVQ1A and austenitic stainless steel, SUS316NG, in order to investigate surface and internal fatigue crack growth characteristics. The tests were conducted under repeated two-step variable amplitude straining conditions to appear beach marks of cracks on the fracture surface. In these tests, periodical surface removal was conducted to suppress surface fatigue cracks to be a main crack which led final fracture. STS410 specimen under surface removal test was not broken until its diameter became too small. There was a defect observed on the section of the specimen cut longitudinally. Cracks initiated from internal inclusion for SFVQ1A and SUS316NG and those fatigue lives were slightly larger under surface removal test compared to those under no surface removal tests. Internal crack growth rates calculated from beach marks were similar to those of surface cracks under the same crack driving force or J integral range, ΔJ.

51歳女性.混合性結合組織病(MCTD)治療中,肝に径10~40mmの多発結節を認めた.限局性結節性過形成(FNH)が疑われたが,肝生検で結節性再生性過形成(NRH)様結節をともなう特発性門脈圧亢進症(IPH)と診断した.NRHなどの良性肝細胞性結節は,共通の原因を基礎に発生する類縁疾患で,近年門脈域形成異常症候群と呼ばれる.MCTDにNRH様結節をともなうIPHの合併はまれであり,今回報告する.

単調な低音呈示の中で稀な高音とともに呈示された視覚刺激は弁別性が向上することが知られており (Vroomen & Gelder, 2000),このような弁別性の向上は視聴覚統合の発生を反映する。本研究では記憶課題と事象関連電位 (P3成分) を用いて,視聴覚統合が視覚刺激の記憶処理過程に及ぼす効果について検討した。参加者は,瞬時に切り替わる幾何学図形の記銘と,その後に再認が求められた。記銘時における図形の呈示は低音の聴覚刺激と同時に行われたが,稀に高音の聴覚刺激が呈示された。検討の結果,稀な高音とともに呈示された図形で記銘時のP3振幅が有意に増大し,再認率も向上した。これらの結果は,稀な聴覚刺激とともに呈示された視覚刺激に対して視聴覚統合が生じ,刺激の弁別性が向上したことで,記銘処理が促進されたことを示す。

本稿では,これまでコンビニエンス・ストアの成功要因として信じられてきたものの実際の効果について検証した.「トップと店舗指導員が行う直接対話の頻度」や「ドミナント出店」といったこれまでコンビニの成功要因として語られてきた活動は実際には店舗業績(店舗平均日販)と関係がなかった.以上の発見に加えて,本稿では,大手チェーンが規模優位を発揮して,高日販を実現している可能性を示唆した.

When examining patients with vertigo, it is essential to differentiate between central and peripheral lesions. It has been reported that some infarctions associated with the posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) can mimic peripheral vertigo, such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). We report on a case that had been treated as BPPV at another institution and eventually turned out to be cerebellar infarction in the PICA legion. Two infarction lesions were observed in the cerebellum. Obstruction of the left vertebral artery was found on MRA. Six months from the first consultation, the BPPV decreased. We should be aware of cases of cerebellar infarction in which nystagmus mimics BPPV.

The concealed information test (CIT) is an information detection technique measuring differential responses of the autonomic nervous system caused by the knowledge of crime-related information. The purpose of this study is to compare physiological responses caused by crime-related knowledge with those caused by a questioning voice with a deviant pitch in the CIT and to research whether there is any difference between these responses. Participants were assigned to one of three groups: a “knowledgeable” group, an “unknowledgeable” group, and a “deviant-sound” group in which the unknowledgeable participants received a deviant-sound question of a crime relevant item. Each participant chose one of the two envelopes that manipulate to assign the participant to the predetermined group. The envelopes for the knowledgeable group contained instructions with the role of the thief and the item related to the theft, and the envelopes for the unknowledgeable group and a deviant-sound group contained instructions with the role of the innocent. Participants are asked to hide their roles and undergo the CIT. The knowledgeable group and deviant-sound group showed increased electrodermal activity, low heart rate (HR) and low normalized pulse volume (NPV) for relevant items. In the deviant-sound group, there was no suppression of respiration, and low HR appeared earlier compared to the knowledgeable group. The differential responses on thoracic respiratory speed and HR were consistently observed across question repetitions in the knowledgeable group, while the differential responses on skin conductance response, HR and NPV decreased along with question repetitions in the deviant-sound group. The different patterns of differential physiological responses found in the knowledgeable group and the deviant sound group suggested the possibility of distinguishing these two groups. In particular, the suppression of respiration caused by the crime-relevant item may be characteristic of knowledgeable persons. The practical implications are discussed.

丸山眞男が1946年に発表した論文「超国家主義の論理と心理」では、道徳と権力との関係が問題となっていた。そこで想定されている主体像は、戦後日本の教育が避けて通れない重要な問いを含んでいる。本稿では同論文を検討し、丸山が道徳的に自由な主体のあり方を問うていたことをみる。

本論の目的は、美空ひばりが銀幕で果たした役割を考察することによって、チャンバラ映画と大衆演劇の密接な関係を確認することである。戦後一九五〇年代から六〇年代にかけて、日本映画は黄金期を迎える。当時は週替わり二本立て興行が行われており、組み合わせとして、現代劇映画と時代劇映画をセットにするケースが多かった。そのように大量生産されたチャンバラ映画を中心とした時代劇映画のほとんどは、大衆娯楽映画として位置づけられ、連続上映することから「プログラム・ピクチャア」とも呼ばれている。映画産業を支え、発展させ、もっとも観客を動員したこれらの映画群を考察することには意義があると考える。そして、これらの映画群で重要なのが「スター」であった。そのようなスターの果たした役割を看過することはできないであろう。本論では、戦後のスターとして、あるいは戦後に光り輝いた女優として活躍した一人であるにもかかわらず、「映画スター」としての側面をほとんど語られることがない「美空ひばり」に焦点を当てた。そして、彼女によってどのように演劇と映画の関係が象徴されたのかを検証することを試みた。

田七人参粉末投与が通常食飼育SHRSPの血圧ならびに脂質代謝に及ぼす影響について検討を行った。1) SHRSPの血圧上昇は投与5週間目より7週間目にわたって抑制が観察され, 6週間目で有意な上昇抑制が認められた。2) 血清脂質代謝においては, 血清脂質含量への影響は認められなかったが, 血清apoE含量の有意な上昇が観察された。この上昇はHDLの亜分画の一つであるapoEに富むHDL (HDL1) の上昇に基づくものであった。さらに動脈硬化指数の一つであるapoB/apoA-Iの有意な低値が認められた。以上のことから田七人参粉末投与による血清脂質代謝改善作用が示唆された。3) 肝臓脂質代謝においては, 肝臓脂質含量ならびにマイクロソーム分画のコレステロール代謝関連酵素活性, いずれも有意な変動は認められず, 田七人参粉末投与が肝臓脂質代謝に及ぼす影響は小さいものと考えられる。

大腸運動異常は、QOLを低下させる疾患を引き起こすことから、大腸運動制御機構の解明が求められている。本研究は、食虫目スンクスを用いて、小型の埋め込み型strain gauge force transducerで胃及び大腸収縮運動と行動を同時に24時間連続観察できる実験系を確立した。その結果、排便の際には必ず巨大伝搬性収縮波が観察され、排便の前後に高確率で摂食や飲水が見られることを明らかにした。また、消化管ホルモンのモチリンは大腸運動を刺激しなかったが、セロトニンやノルアドレナリン受容体阻害剤であるヨヒンビンは巨大伝搬性収縮波及び排便を引き起こすことを明らかにした。

本研究ではイノベーションでユーザーが重要な役割を演じる条件を「情報の粘着性(stickiness of information)」という視点から明らかにする.「情報の粘着性」という概念は近年,提唱されたものであり,体系的に収集されたデータをベースに議論が展開されることはこれまでほとんどなかった.その意味で本研究は,「情報の粘着性仮説」を概念的議論から経験的調査をもとにした議論へと橋渡しする試みであると言える.また,本稿ではこの仮説から引き出される実践的インプリケーションについても経験的調査の結果をベースに議論する.
