Traumatic carotid-cavernous sinus fistula (t-CCF) is an arteriovenous fistula formed by the tearing of the internal carotid artery running in the cavernous sinus, accompanied by head/maxillofacial injuries. Patients with this disease rarely show spontaneous closure and often require urgent endovascular treatment. We report a case of t-CCF that developed following jaw and zygoma fractures and was successfully treated by manual carotid compression. A 35-year-old man was referred to our hospital to undergo treatment for multiple maxillofacial fractures. On the first day after injury, open reduction and internal fixation of the mandible were conducted with the patient under general anesthesia. On the fifth day after injury, diplopia of the left eye suddenly appeared. On the seventh day after injury, left exophthalmos/edema of the left upper eyelid/left abducens nerve palsy/bilateral ptosis, and hyperemia of the bulbar conjunctiva appeared. On the 15th day after injury, cerebral angiography revealed a definitive diagnosis of t-CCF. Supervised manual carotid compression during the waiting period before endovascular treatment led to improvement in various symptoms from the 19th day after injury. Cerebral angiography, which was performed again for endovascular treatment, revealed that arteriovenous fistula resolved spontaneously. Therefore, treatment was discontinued, and the patient was followed up with a conservative approach. By 9 months after injury, all symptoms, including left oculomotor nerve palsy had disappeared. There was no evidence of recurrence 10 years after injury.

<p>カーボンをカソード電極としたFeCセンサを試作し,屋外環境および恒温恒湿環境におけるセンサ出力挙動について調査をおこなった.屋外試験にて,FeCセンサは,FeAgセンサとほぼ同等出力を示すが,暴露開始数日間と降雨期間に出力低下となる.FeCセンサは,その<i>I</i>-<i>RH</i>曲線が海塩付着量および湿度増加に伴い電流増加を示すことから,FeAgセンサと同様に腐食センサとして機能する.FeAgセンサに対するFeCセンサの出力は,W_s=10 g/m²,RH>70%で0.2倍に低下,同W_sのRH<60%で0.5~2倍の同等,また,W_s=0.01~1 g/m²の全湿度域で0.5~2倍の同等,W_s=0.001 g/m²では全湿度域で検出限界以下である.人工海水中,FeCセンサの<i>E</i>_corrは,FeAgセンサと同程度の-0.65 Vであるが,<i>I</i>_galは90μAと,FeAgセンサ<i>I</i>_galの1/3以下に低下する.C電極は,Ag電極に比べてカソード電流低下,また,EIS解析から,<i>R</i>_ct増加と<i>C</i>_dl低下が確認される.C電極/液界面における溶存酸素の還元反応において電子授受等に反応抵抗があるものと考えられる.</p>

Larvaes of varied carpet beetle (Anthrenus verbasci ) are well known as insects injurious to clothes and crops, and theirfood preference have been researched well and known to inclinable toward animal fiber. Here, we widely invested theirpreference to six clothes including wool, silk, cotton, hemp, rayon and polyester from their gathering behavior. As the results,they gathered on wool most and their preferences to plant fiber were intermediate between those to animal and artificial fiber.

炭素で構成されるアモルファス状の膜は,化学的・機械的に安定であり,低温で成膜可能であり,さらにこの膜の表面を修飾することにより,新たな性質を付加できることから,ますますその用途は拡大している。現在では,これまで以上に,原子レベルで制御して,成膜および表面処理を行う必要が生じている。これまでメタン(CH4)を原料として用いた場合の成膜過程や表面反応過程を調べてきた。今回,エチレン(C2H4)を原料として用いた場合,成膜速度の飛躍的な上昇や膜質の変化を確認することが出来た。また,成膜過程および膜表面での反応過程について,多重内部反射赤外吸収分光法を用いて詳細にしらべたので,報告する。

炭化水素プラズマで生成されCH₃など低分子量の化学種だけでなく、高分子量の化学種も重要となると考えられる。そこで、プラズマ中で生成される高次の化学種を制御することで,これまで以上に機能を持つ膜が形成できることが期待できる。高分子を原料としたプラズマ成膜の基礎的な知見を得るため,多重内部反射赤外吸収分光法を用いてエチレンによる成長過程を調べたので報告する。

To estimate concentration and thickness of water film formed on metal surface in atmospheric environment, relative humidity (RH) data in equilibrium with various concentrations of strong electrolyte solutions were calculated with available thermodynamic data. The activity coefficient of water (fw(X)) for the solution with molar fraction of water (X) could be given as a function of ionic strength of the solution, which was determined by mean activity coefficient data in literatures for electrolytes in the solution. RH values obtained as RH(%)=100×fw(X)·X were fitted well with measured values of these solutions in each literatures, for example NaCl, MgCl2, Na2SO4, Mg(NO3)2 and so on. RH values for solutions with various contents of Na-MgCl ternary system were also calculated as NaCl-MgCl2 mixed solution. The calculated RH values were also fitted well with measured data. Using the relationship between density and concentration of the solution, the thickness of water film was also calculated. When the sea salt is put on 1g/m2, while the thickness of water film reaches 3-30μm in the range of relative humidity is larger than 75%, it remains 0.3-0.7μm in the range of relative humidity is smaller than 75% where NaCl solid state deposition occurs.

<p>再生可能エネルギー固定買取制度を背景に,太陽光発電設備は急増した.太陽光発電設備の基礎杭は,浅層土壌中に金属表面が接し,地際部より突出している.本研究では,この環境における腐食の把握を目的に,杭状試験体の暴露試験と暴露試験場土壌の分析を行った.浅層土壌中の腐食量は,土壌中の腐食量として一般的に示される年間0.02 mmの腐食量を上回った.それらの腐食量は各土壌を電解質とした分極抵抗測定結果と良い相関を得た.地際部のマクロセル腐食は,土地造成など人為的な作用により土壌の化学組成が大きく変化することが一因であると考えられる.</p>

We have improved the coffee beans selection machine. To keep the quality of coffee,the coffee beans are selected. The coffee beans selection machine consists of the CCD video cameraand PC with built-in video capture board. The quality distinction of the coffee beans are done withthe image processing software in PC. In this report, the quality distinction technique that usedtwo or more color information was examined. As results of the experiment, best color informationfor the quality distinction was able to be obtained.

舌癌治療ガイドラインの作成にあたり, 日本での舌扁平上皮癌治療の現状を把握するためアンケート調査を行い, 75回答の集計結果から本邦における舌扁平上皮癌治療の現状を報告した。<BR>有効回答の得られた75施設の過去10年間 (1995-2004) における総症例数は5, 906例であった。T, N分類ではT2が2, 700例 (45.7%) , N0が4, 367例 (73.9%) と最も多かった。<BR>手術療法では原発巣の切除範囲の適応基準, 頸部リンパ節転移に対する頸部郭清術および舌癌切除後の再建術における適応と術式については, 各施設とも適応基準がほぼ共通しており標準的な治療ガイドラインの作成は可能であるように思われた。<BR>一方, 原発巣や頸部の放射線や化学療法による, 術前・術後の補助療法の目的と適応が各施設それぞれに基準があり, その標準化はガイドライン作成の大きな問題点になると思われた。いずれにしても質の高いエビデンスを持つ治療法をガイドラインに盛り込む必要がある。

DEAにおける理論と応用の両面からの展開とその融合研究を行った。ネットワークDEAや不確実性下のDEA、評価指標の開発などの理論的貢献とこれらの成果の多様な分野への適用による事例研究における応用面での貢献を得ることができた。さらに、国際シンポジウムの開催や外国人研究者の招へいなどによる国際交流の活性化および国内におけるDEA研究の中心的役割を果たすことができた。
