抄録 約2年5カ月間,ほぼ連日,マリファナを使用し,仕事に対する葛藤・会社の倒産・法的問題への恐怖・大学受験・逮捕・拘留などの状況を背景に,意識変容を伴う幻覚妄想状態に至ったマリファナ精神病の1臨床例を報告し,本症例を通して,マリファナ酩酊・マリファナ精神病・arnotivational syndrome。マリファナの精神作用やそれによる精神病状態の原因や起源・spontaneous recurrence・マリファナ使用の動機と予後,及び,臨床心理学的諸検査について検討した。 本症例の示したマリファナによる精神病状態は意識変容状態と考えられ,その症状は心理的・状況的背景から考え,かなり了解しうるものと考えられる。 わが国でも,マリファナ常用者がかなり存在しており,とくに,不安恐慌状態やマリファナ精神病は,精神医学的領域においても注意しなくてはならない病態と思われる。

高次脳機能障害の神経心理学的アセスメントを実施する際の問題点とその対策について,主に大学生を対象とした実験的研究によって検討した。その主な成果は以下のようなものである。(1)神経心理検査における利き手の影響について新しい知見を得た。また日本人の基準データを呈示することが出来た。(2)左右弁別能力の測定方法と,個人差について新しい知見を得た。(3)学習におけるテスト効果(testing effect)が,高齢者においても生じることを実験的に証明した。(4)神経心理検査における虚偽反応について実験的な検討を行い,臨床にも有用な知見を得た。(5)くすぐりに関する基本的な実験手法を確立した。

The aim of this study was to investigate the changes of Hb concentration (Hb. C) in the brain measured by NIRS (Near-infrared Spectroscopy) during position change of the body. Blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) were measured to compare with the changes of Hb.C simultaneously. The subjects were twelve normal adults, four SCD patients and three stroke patients. Body position of the subjects was changed from supine (Sup) to standing (Std) and Std to Sup successively. The values measured in the first Sup were adopted as base line. In normal adults, Oxy Hb. C decreased in Std and increased in second Sup, while the change of Deoxy Hb. C was reverse to that of Oxy Hb. C. Both BP and HR increased in Std and decreased in second Sup. However Oxy Hb. C in SCD patients showed similar change to that in normal adults, there were no remarkable changes of Oxy Hb. C in stroke patients. It was suggested that the changes of Hb. C measured by NIRS were useful for detecting the vascular reaction in the brain.

The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore in U.S.A. possesses a significant number of objects from the Japanese exhibits at the Centennial Exhibition. These objects were almost brought by William Walters ( 1819 - 1894 ) and Henry Walters ( 1845 - 1931 ). It is said that they purchased nearly 400 objects from the Centennial Exhibition. In this report the 204 objects are introduced. Of the 204 objects, 139 have been evaluated as definitely coming from the Centennial Exhibition and the 65 of them have yet to be definitely classed as exhibits from the Exhibition. They are mainly lacquer ware, ceramics, bronzes ware, and silver ware.

Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab who started his <i>Tawhid</i> propagation in his hometown, 'Uyaina, in 1741, broke down tombs of saints, trees and stones worshiped by the inhabitants, and pressed the magistrate to carry out the Islamic execution on an adulteress. The frightened inhabitants expelled him from the town.<br>In this first stage of his missionary activity, we can already find the three political ideas of Wahhabi, such as (1) propagation of <i>Tawhid</i>, (2) ordering what is right and prohibiting what is wrong, and (3) execution of the Islamic law.<br>Expelled from his hometown, Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab came to Dar'iya where lived Ibn Sa'ud. Ibn Sa'ud visited him and proposed him a concordat according to which he would give Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab a military support for the propagation of <i>Tawhid</i> in exchange for his loyalty to the house of Sa'ud and his confirmation of Ibn Sa'ud's right of taxation. Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab accepted his proposition except the confirmation of the right of taxation. On this concordat are founded the three State Principles of Saudi Arabia: propagation by <i>jihad</i>, monarchy of the Sa'ud, and no taxation.<br>With the expansion of the territory, Saudi Arabia starts to use a double identity in the foreign policy, in which they define themselves as Wahhabi to attack the non-Wahhabi Muslims as polytheists on one hand and as Hanbali to make peace with other Muslims on the other hand.<br>Though the third kingdom of Saudi Arabia founded by 'Abd al='Aziz has inherited Wahhabi' s three ideas on the politics, as for its three principles of the state, it comes to discard <i>jihad</i> as well as to retouch the no taxation principle and to justify the diplomatic relation with non Muslim countries.<br>The legitimacy of the third kingdom of Saudi Arabia is now threatened on the three levels, namely, (1) the penetration of the idea of of the Jihad-Revolution among people, (2) the intensifying conflict not only between the Western world and the Islamic world but also between secularism and Islamism within the Islamic world and (3) the heavy taxation under the circumstances of the financial decline.

ADAMTS13は,止血因子であるフォンビレブランド因子(VWF)のA2ドメイン内のTyr¹⁶⁰⁵-Met¹⁶⁰⁶間のペプチド結合を特異的に切断する酵素である.この切断により新たに生じるペプチドのC末端Tyr1605を特異的に認識するモノクローナル抗体を用いて,基質の切断生成物をELISA法で直接測定する原理に基づいたADAMTS13活性測定法のキット化を行い,そのキットの基本的な性能を評価した.<br> 本キットの最小検出感度は,健常人のADAMTS13活性100%に対して,0.4%と高感度であった.また,調製したプレート内のウエル間の均一性(変動係数(CV)=3.3%)は良好で,濃度の違う検体での同時再現性(CV=1.1~4.7%)及び日差再現性(CV=2.6~7.5%)も良好であった.希釈試験では,原点に回帰する良好な直線性が得られた.またヘモグロビンやビリルビン等の共存物質の影響は,検討した濃度範囲では認められなかった.反応はEDTAで完全に阻害された.<br> 臨床検体及び健常人検体を本キットで測定したときのADAMTS13活性は,健常人プール血漿100%に対し先天性のADAMTS13活性欠損症であるUpshaw-Schulman症候群(USS)で0.5%以下~2.7%,USS保因者群で7.7~85.3%,血栓性血小板減少性紫斑病(TTP)群で0.5%以下~58.1%,健常人で54.7~134.4%と測定され,TTPの診断に必要な判別能を有しており,SDS-agaroseゲル電気泳動法との相関は相関係数(r)=0.931と良好であった.本キットは優れた性能と操作性を有していることから,TTPの診断や血小板輸血時の適否判断などにおいて有用であると考えられた.<br>

グリチルリチンは生薬「甘草」に含まれる主な有効成分であり,抗炎症,肝庇護作用など多様な薬理作用を持つトリテルペノイド配糖体である.グリチルリチンはまた,砂糖の150倍以上の甘さを持つことから天然甘味料としても使用される.筆者らは最近,グリチルリチン生合成経路において唯一未同定となっていた糖転移酵素を同定し,本遺伝子を導入した組換え酵母細胞内でグリチルリチン生合成経路を再構築することに成功した.
