3代将軍徳川家光によって制度化されたとされる参勤交代のねらいは、大名の経済力・軍事力を抑制・削減して幕府に反抗できないようにするためである、こうした理解が教育現場に相当定着している。しかし、学会においてはこのような見方は一般的ではない。参勤交代が、大名にとって大きな経済的負担となっていたことは事実である。しかし、これは参勤交代の結果であって、この制度が設けられた目的ではない。そこで、先学諸氏の研究成果を踏まえて、現行の小中高の教科書には、参勤交代についてどのように記述されているのかを調べ、参勤交代の授業における留意点を示してみたい。

自閉症スペクトラム症/自閉症スペクトラム障害(ASD)は,社会性や言語コミュニケーションの障害,反復行動を特徴とする多表現型の疾患である.これまでの双性児研究や家族間一致率の研究等から,ASDの発症には遺伝的要因が関与していると考えられている.一方,末梢から供給される分岐鎖アミノ酸(BCAA)は脳の活動に重要である.Novarinoらは,ASD,知的障害そして癲癇患者の中に,BCAAの分解を抑制的に制御するbranched chain keto-acid dehydrogenase kinase(BCKDK)遺伝子の変異を持っている患者がいること,彼らの末梢中BCAA濃度は低下していることを明らかにした.本稿では,BCAAを脳内に輸送するトランスポーターの変異が,ある種のASD病態に関与し,さらにBCAAの投与がそうした病態を改善する可能性があることを示したTarlungeanuらの報告を紹介する.なお,本稿は下記の文献に基づいて,その研究成果を紹介するものである.1) Bailey A. et al., Psychol. 打ち首(斬首)の所見が認められる古人首例は比較的少なく,偶然に発見されたとしても,頭蓋の刀創などから斬首を間接的に想定した場合が大部分を占めると思われる.著者が最近経験した鎌倉市今小路西遺跡出土の南北朝期(14世紀後半)に属する斬首された2個体分の中世頭蓋の場合は,切られた上位頸椎が一緒に残っていたので打ち首の技法がよく分かる.当時の屋敷の門付近に,A•B2個体分の頭蓋と上位頸椎だけが一緒に埋められていた.首実験後に首だけが遺族に返されず,そこに仮埋葬されたものであるらしい.2体とも男性で,年齢は A が壮年期前半,B が壮年期後半と推定される.頭蓋は無傷で,それぞれの頸椎が日本刀のような鋭利な刃物により切断されている.頭蓋と第1~3頸椎からなる男性 A の場合,切断面は第3頸椎体の前下部を右後下方から左前上方へ走って椎体の途中で止まり,その先の椎体部分は刀の衝撃によって破壊され失われている.切断面の走向からみて,第4頸椎(残存せず)を右後下方から切断した刃先が第3頸椎体に達して止まったと思われる.頭蓋と第1~4頸椎からなる男性 B の場合,主切断面は第4頸椎の中央を右からほぼ水平に走っている.切断面より上方にある右横突起と右上関節突起の上半部だけが残存し,それ以外の第4頸椎の大部分は失われている.A の場合と同様に,刃先が第4頸椎の椎体の途中で止まって,その先の部分が破壊されたものと推定される.別に第3頸椎の左下関節突起先端部から右椎弓根基部上面へ向けて椎体を左下方から右上方へ斜めに走る副切断面があり,この副切断面によって改めて首が切り離されている.失われた第3頸椎の椎弓板もこのとき壊されたと思われる.切断面の走向からみて,両個体とも,垂直に立てた頸部を横切りにされたというよりは,むしろ正座のような低い姿勢をとって前方に差し伸べた頸部を,左側やや後方に立った右利きの執刀者により切り下ろす形で右背後から鋭く切断され,絶命したと推定される.この際,首は一気に切り落とされていない.これは俗に「打ち首はクビの前皮一枚を残すのが定法」と言われるところに近似の所見であり,この技法の確立が中世までさかのぼり得るものであることが分かる.2体とも最初に第4頸椎部を正確に切断され,頭蓋には刀創の見られないところから,同一の練達者によって斬首されたと推測されるが,切られたほうも死を覚悟した武士であったかも知れない.英国のSutton Walls 出土の鉄器時代人骨における斬首例のように,首を刀で一気に切り離すのが昔のヨーロッパ流のやり方とすれば,中世における日本の打ち首では頸部を後方から半切して処刑する点にその特徴があると思われる.

Learning from an Aboriginal historian's story-telling, this paper aims to explore the reality' of Australian Aboriginal past. Drawing upon field research with the Gurindji people of Daguragu, Northern Territory, the study explores ways of presenting and interpreting Aboriginal historians' teachings. It explore how we can use the Aboriginal method of historical interpretation. The paper is based on story of the origins of Europeans as told to me by Jimmy Mangayarri of the Daguragu.According to the Gurindj i people, the first European was Jacky Pantamarra. He came out from monkey' and bred white people in England. Jacky Pantamarra wrote a book/law for Europeans that contained a lot of `silly ideas'. He claimed Australia as his country and commanded Captain Cook to invade it and kill the Aboriginal people.The question is: how can non-Aboriginal people share the reality of this mysterious story of Jacky Pantamarra with the Gurindji historians? We need to investigate the distance and relation between the Gurindji analysis of Australian history and the academic way of historical interpretation. The paper emphatically rejects the idea that academic historians know the `right history' and that Aboriginal people are telling the wrong history'.Two forms of examination are required: translation and interpretation. Firstly, this study attempts to translate their history' into our history' by discussing the historicity' of the story of Jacky Pantamarra.Evolutionary theory, Dutch explorers, dingo/crocodile hunters as well as racial separatism in cattle stations are considered the `historical background' of Jacky Pantamarra. Secondly, the paper interprets their history' within their own cultural modes of practice. Aboriginal historians' narratives are framed according to the logic of their own ontology and cosmology, or their `time-space concept of Dreaming'.The story of Jacky Pantamarra is based on Aboriginal concepts of time', space' and `morality' Without learning those, academic historians can never understand the Gurindji analysis of Australian colonisation.The lesson is that academic historians should be humble'. The academic historical interpretation cannot monopolise the Australian past. Instead of declaring the authenticity of academia's interpretation of Aboriginal/Australian history, we should start learning alternative ways of historical interpretation from Aboriginal historians. Aboriginal oral history should not be used as a supplementary source for the academic history', but should be understood within their history.

二輪車の定常円旋回特性を詳細に検討したところ、これまでの理論的な表現では定性的な特性は表現できるものの、定量的な特性を表現することが難しいことを示した。この表現にはタイヤのオーバターニングモーメントおよびキャンバトルクの考慮が重要である事を示し、今後の運動力学検討時にこれらの考慮が重要であることを示した。さらに操舵系コンプライアンスの等価的影響を検証した。

This study investigated the characteristics and environmental conditions of tropical cyclones (TCs) over the western North Pacific from 2009 to 2017 that dissipated before reaching tropical storm strength (TDs) under unfavorable environmental conditions; we compared these with TCs that reached tropical storm strength (TSs) in terms of modulations of relevant large-scale flow patterns. The flow patterns were categorized based on five factors: shear line, confluence region, monsoon gyre, easterly waves, and Rossby wave energy dispersion from a preexisting cyclone. Among 476 cases, 263 TDs were detected using best-track data and early stage Dvorak analysis. The TCs in the environments associated with the confluence region or Rossby wave energy dispersion (easterly waves) tended to reach tropical storm strength (remain weak) compared with the other factors. The average locations of TDs at the time of cyclogenesis in the confluence region, monsoon gyre, and easterly waves (Rossby wave energy dispersion) in the summer and autumn were farther to the west (east and north) than those of TSs that exhibited the same factors. The environments around TDs were less favorable for development than those of TSs, as there were significant differences in atmospheric (oceanic) environmental parameters between TDs and TSs in the factors of confluence region, easterly waves, and Rossby wave energy dispersion (shear line, monsoon gyre, and Rossby wave energy dispersion). The environmental conditions for reaching tropical storm strength over their developing stage, using five factors, can be summarized as follows: higher tropical cyclone heat potential in the shear line and monsoon gyre, weak vertical shear in the confluence region, wet conditions in the easterly waves, and higher sea surface temperatures and an intense preexisting cyclone in Rossby wave energy dispersion from a preexisting cyclone.

超人スポーツとは何か OTの皆様は,すでに障害者スポーツに親しまれていると思われる.障害者スポーツの領域にはさまざまな競技があり,アクティビティも高く,またリハ,機能維持としての効果も高い.それに対して,「超人スポーツ」という新しい領域とその考え方はどういうものであるのか,そこから得られるアイデアは何かという観点から解説してみる. 超人スポーツは,特定のスポーツ競技を指すのではなく,今ある技術を活用して,スポーツがどのように拡張できるのか,いつでもどこでも誰でも楽しめる新しいスポーツを開拓しようという“考え方”である.

Green Tea beverages sold in plastic bottle could represent as one of the best samples ofcommodity product in Japan. We have 4 major brands and the first one sold was the “Oi Ocha(pronounced Oh Yee Ocha)” by Ito En, LTD., which still maintains strong market share as thepioneer brand. This report focuses on “Namacha” by Kirin Co., Ltd., and studies how itstrategically challenged the pioneer, Oi Ocha, and what were their strategy to compete againstthe late starters such as Iyemon by Suntory and Ayataka by Coca Cola Japan. Brand valueshall specifically be focused to understand the brand strategy of the product represents thecommodity in the category.

〔目的〕体幹と骨盤の動きを必要とする座位に着目し,骨盤の傾斜角度の違いが背筋群の筋活動に与える影響を検討した。〔対象〕腰痛の既往のない健常成人男性10名。〔方法〕測定肢位を骨盤軽度後傾位(以下後傾位)と骨盤軽度前傾位(以下前傾位)とし,課題を安静座位と腹部引き込み運動とし,肢位と課題の組み合わせの4条件下での腰部脊柱起立筋と腰部多裂筋の筋電図を導出した。課題間の比較は,一元配置分散分析後,多重比較検定を実施した。〔結果〕安静座位と腹部引き込み運動の課題において,多裂筋の筋活動は後傾位に対し前傾位で有意に増加したが,脊柱起立筋の筋活動に有意な差はなかった。これは骨盤前傾作用として多裂筋の筋活動が増加したと考える。〔結語〕前傾位は脊柱起立筋の筋活動を有意に増大することなく,選択的に多裂筋の筋活動を高めることができる姿勢と考える。
