Im August 1933 wurde Die Aktiengesellschaft, Metallurgische Forschungsgesellschaft m. b. H. gegrundet. Diese Firma war eine Scheinfirma der Reichsbank, die von Reichsbankprasidenten Hjalmar SCHACHT zur Rustungsfinanzierung geschaffen wurde. Man hat diese Firma abgekurzt Mefo genannt. Zuerst hat die Rustungsindustrie Mefo-Wechsel ausgestellt und diese Wechsel an die Mefo gesandt, die diese akzeptierte. Danach hat die Mefo diese Wechsel der Rustungsindustrie zuruckgegeben. So wurde Mefo-Wechsel entstanden. Von 1934 bis 1938 wurden Mefo-Wechsel im Wert von 12 Milliarden RM ausgestellt. SCHACHT befurchtete, din Zunahme von Mefo-Wechseln konne zu Inflation fuhren. Deswegen wurde auf seine Veranlassung von Mefo-Wechseln am 31. Marz 1938 eingestellt. Ab Fruhling 1939 sollte das Reich die Mefo-Wechsel einlosen. SCHACHT und das Reichsbankdirektorium sandten ein Momorandum an Adolf HITLER, in dem sie fordernten, daβ die Reichsbank den Kapitalmarkt kontrollieren solle. Das bedeutete, daβ die Reichsbank nicht langer die Rustungsfinanzierung unterstutzte. Deshalb muβte SCHACHT als Reichbankprasident zurucktreten. Das System der Mefo-Wechsel bedeutete Rustungsfinanzierung durch Kredite. SCHACHT befurwortete eine mit Sparsamkeit verbundene Konsolidierungspolitik, aber NS-Staat konnte oder wollte SCHACHTS Vorschlagen nicht folgen.

This paper proposes a general theory for kinematics and dynamics of wheeled mobile robots (WMRs) . This study has two features: 1) The proposed method can deal with various WMR system ranging from typical three or four-wheeled mobile robot to multi-WMR systems where multiple WMRs are connected by joints. A WMR is regarded as a planar linkage mechanism with several ends: wheels correspond to the ends. Generally, a WMR system has active joints such as steering axis, passive joints such as casters and couplers, and driven/non-driven wheels. A model of WMR system called tree structure link covering these configurations is proposed. 2) This theory deals with kinematics and dynamics of WMR including slip of wheels. WMR dynamics is derived regarding frictional force between wheels and the ground as an external force which is a function of the slip speed. When no slip is assumed in wheels, WMR's motion is expressed by kinematics. In this manner, the proposed method is applied systematically on the kinematics when slip can be neglected and the dynamics when slip exists. Furthermore, velocity input dynamics is proposed which gives the motion of WMR when the velocity commands are inputs to active joints and wheels under the condition that wheels slip.

A traditional Japanese sparkler, called Senko-hanabi, has been popular in Japan since the Edo-period. The simple composition of only 0.1 g black powder wrapped in a twisted paper generates a residue suspended at the bottom end of the paper string, emitting light streaks similar to branched pine needles, with ever smaller ramifications. The surprising events involve an exothermic reaction with the oxygen of air, chemical reactions of metastable compounds in the melt, gas bubble nucleation and bursting, liquid ligaments and droplets formation, all occurring in the sequential fashion. These complex processes at play in fireworks have remained elusive over the centuries. In this article, we introduce the research history on the science of Senko-hanabi starting from the 19th century, originated in Europe and then took place in Japan. We show the recent progress of the detailed cascade occurring at the spark ramifications as successive droplet fragmentation, thus answering a century old question. However, there still remain essential matters, which should be clarified in the future for the full understanding of the fragile beauty.

元素の周期表で第6周期のほぼ中央に位置する金と水銀の化学的な性質が,量子化学的計算と相対性理論による補正計算からどのように理解されるかを主に解説する。あわせて,ランタノイド元素のランタノイド収縮などの第6周期元素の性質についても若干議論する。

Four species of alien parasites, Dactylogyrus skrjabini Achmerow, 1954, D. hypophthalmichthys Achmerow, 1952, D. wuhuensis Lee, 1960 (Platyhelminthes: Monogenea: Dactylogyridae), and Sinergasilus lieni Yin, 1949 (Crustacea: Copepoda: Ergasilidae), were collected from the gills of the alien cyprinid, the silver carp Hypophthalmichthys molitrix (Valenciennes, 1844) in the Watarase River flowing into the Watarase Retarding Basin, Tochigi Prefecture, central Japan. These alien parasites represent new geographical records from Japan. The generic position of D. skrjabini has been doubted because its dorsal anchor shape is similar to those of Pellucidhaptor spp. (Dactylogyridae), but the species should be assigned to Dactylogyrus based on the phylogenetic analysis of 28S rDNA made in this study. The scientific name “Pseudergasilus polycolpus Markewitsch, 1939” is an incorrect subsequent spelling of P. undulatus Markewitsch, 1940, and S. lieni is the oldest available name that can be applied to the ergasilid found in this study.

現在,日本の多くの都市において,公共交通空白地帯の解消を目的としたコミュニティバスが運行されている.コミュニティバスには法律上の明確な定義はなく,自治体と事業者の費用負担も様々である.そこで本研究は,運行事業者の違いや自治体の費用負担の仕方の違いなどに着目してコミュニティバスの運行費用との関係を分析することを目的とし,京都府内の21自治体を対象にアンケート調査およびインタビューを実施し,運行にかかる総費用と運賃収入について分析した.その結果,地域の運行協議会により運行されるコミュニティバスの運行費用は,従来から独自に定時定路線運行をしてきた路線バス事業者により運行されるコミュニティバスよりも走行時間あたりの運行費用が安いなど,運行事業者の違いが運行費用に影響を与えていることを明らかにした.

This study investigated future changes in extreme precipitation associated with tropical cyclones (TCs) around Japan using large ensemble regional climate simulations for historical and +4 K climates. Under the warmer climate, extreme TC precipitation, defined as the 90th percentile value of the maximum daily precipitation derived from each TC (TCP90), is projected to increase throughout Japan from Kyushu to Kanto. We attributed most of the increase in TCP90 to increased atmospheric moisture due to global warming. Furthermore, it was found that TCP90 is projected to increase for all TC intensity categories. However, the projected increase in intense TCs affects TCP90 in only a limited area. Stronger TCs enhance TCP90 over east- and north-facing slopes of mountainous terrain, while TCP90 in most other areas is insensitive to TC intensity. These results suggest that even relatively weak TCs could have potential to produce extreme precipitation that might cause natural disasters.

This study aimed to review the current state and trends in cannabis use in Japan, using data from several national epidemiological surveys. The number of cannabis users in the general population was estimated approximately 1.3 million people. Cannabis use increased between 2015 and 2017. In 2017, the lifetime prevalence of cannabis use was greater than that of inhalants, and cannabis had become the most abused drug in Japan. The increase in cannabis users is thought influenced by increased access to illegal cultivation and positive thinking about cannabis use among many people, especially younger individuals.

インターネットアンケート調査により,2015年の日本の釣り人数を推定した。釣り人数は海面487.5万人,内水面336.0万人,釣り堀・管理釣り場177.7万人であった。釣り堀・管理釣り場を除く自然水面についてみると,釣り人の割合は海面59.2%,内水面40.8%であった。内水面の上位8魚種の釣り人数はヤマメ・アマゴ118.8万人,イワナ88.7万人,ニジマス82.4万人,アユ77.6万人,フナ76.7万人,ブラックバス66.6万人,コイ56.1万人,ウグイ35.5万人であった。

Since the weight of the normal prostate is about 20 g in adult males, a prostate weighing estimated to weight more than 20 g by ultrasonography is regarded as prostate swelling in our hospital. However, the weight of the prostate varies with age, and its measurements also vary. In this study, we examined the changes in the weigh) of the prostate with age in the groups with and without symptoms in the prostate. In the healthy males without prostatic symptoms, the estimated weight of the prostate was more than 20 g in males over 50 years old, and there were many patients in whom prostate swelling was observed without significant clinical symptoms. It was considered necessary to be aware of the changes in the prostate weight with age without adhering to a single standard weight, when performing ultrasonographic estimation of the prostate weight.
