Yoshizo Yamaguchi (1883~1920, 山口義三) was a socialist and writer as well. Koken (孤剣) is an alias for him. He was put into the Miyagi Kangoku, a prison in Sendai, because of an article of his that was published in a magazine. After his release, Sanshiro Ishikawa (1876~1956, 石川三四郎), a social activist and anarchist, held a welcome meeting for the liberated convict at the Kinkikan (錦輝館) in Kanda in Tokyo on 22, June, 1908. The then socialists were divided into 3 sects, snarling at each other. 65 men and women joined the meeting, enjoying, first, the greeting of promotors, and, later, sideshows. The atmosphere in the assembly hall seemed to be amiable and everything was progressing fairly well. But when a sword dance reached its climax, some radicals began to wave red flags in the hall, singing a Revolutionary Song aloud. The andience remained silent, sitting on the fence.The welcome meeting ended toward evening. Soon some stalwart socialists and their comrades rushed to the streets, singing a Revolutionary Song at the top of their voices, and waving the red flags. The police watching for them in and outside the building dashed against them, asking for their flags. But they refused to hand them over because their flags were symbolic of their life it self. The scrambles between the police and the socialists broke out outside of the Kinkikan and near the Higher Commercial School (高等商業学校, nowadays Hitotsubashi University). The fighting continued for half an hour to one hour, attracting a large curious crowd, while the police increased their strength. Those resisting the police were arrested and were taken to the Kanda Police Station.Two of the radicals, Sakae Ōsugi (1885~1923, 大杉栄, murdered by the military police with his wife and nephew when the Kanto Earthquake broke out on 1, September, 1923), and Katsuzo Arahata (1887~1981, 荒畑勝三) were pulled out of jail naked and were heavily assaulted. The violence of the policemen knocked Arahata senseless.Ten men and four women were indicted for breaching the Peace Regulations and assault and battery charges for obstructing policemen’s carrying out their duties. Ten men did time at the Chiba Kangoku (i.e. prison) for one year or two years and a half depending on their offences or previous convictions.The Red Flag incident was only a struggle for flags but it caused a lèse-majesté (disrespect for the Imperial Family). While ten men were in jail at the Kanda Police Station, someone inscribed a Chinese poem on a white wall : “Cut down with one stroke the head of the Emperor, the ray of the setting sun is cold at Paris Castle”. The poem shocked the Cabinet, bringing hard pressure upon the socialists.

<p>商品がコモディティー化すればするほど市場支配力や収益力を生み出すプラットフォームの形成プロセスについて、市場の前線に立つ経営者の目線から体系化した。新たに定義するプラットフォームは、技術拡散スピードが極端に異なる『擦り合わせ型』と『モジュラー型』のアーキテクチャがともに共存するオープン環境で現れる。本稿では、コモディティー化が極限まで進んだDVDプレイヤーと記録型DVDメディアを我が国の事例として取り上げ、技術拡散スピードの違いを巧みに活用しながらプラットフォーム構築が進んでいることを、アメリカに見る事例と比較しながら明らかにした。いずれもNIES/BRICs諸国企業と協業するためのフル・ターンキー・ソリューション型プラットフォームであり、擦り合わせ統合型のプラットフォーム内部からオープン市場をコントロールすることによって利益の源泉と市場支配力が生まれている。我が国企業の統合型組織能力をグローバル市場で生かすための21世紀型ビジネス・モデル構築に、本稿の定義するプラットフォームの枠組みがきわめて有効である。</p>

発芽に変温を必要とするボリビア産トウガラシ‘No.3341’ (Capsicum chinense) の発芽特性について調査検討した.1.発芽温度を30℃とした場合, 播種7日後に15℃・24時間の変温処理を行うと, 非常に早く発芽し, 発芽率も高かった.2.発芽温度を30℃とした場合, 播種7日後に行った25℃・24時間の変温処理 (変温幅5℃) も, 発芽を促進した.3.発芽温度を30℃とした場合, 播種1日後に行った15℃・24時間の変温処理も, 発芽を促進した.4.30℃恒温で, 照明下では半数近くが発芽し, 光発芽性種子 (好光性種子) であることが認められた.5.暗黒下であっても, 変温処理を繰り返し行うと, 高い発芽率が得られた.6.GA3 (ジベレリン酸) 処理は, 最適濃度であれば, 照明の有無にかかわらず, 30℃恒温下で発芽を促進した.7.GA3の最適濃度からはずれた濃度の処理では, 発芽は光の影響を受けることが認められた.8.暗黒下でGA3処理した場合, 照明下での処理に比べ, 100および250ppmで著しく発芽が抑制された.

DVD-RAM(8cm)を記録メディアとして採用した、光ディスクカメラを開発した。ディスクというメディアの利点を活かし、上書きの失敗や、画質の劣化と言った不安をなくし、更にDVDフォーラムで規格化したRTR規格に準拠したフォーマットによる録画データは、4.7GB DVD-RAMドライブを搭載したパソコンによる操作や、次世代のDVDプレイヤでの再生が可能となる。今回は、低消費電力を実現するビデオ記録技術と、ユーザデータの使い勝手を向上するPCインタフェースについて報告する。

東シナ海上で発生する気象津波の伝播・増幅過程について,Princeton Ocean Model (POM)を基本モデルとした多重ネスト型数値モデルを構築して解析を行った.気圧波が東シナ海上を東進する際に,沖縄トラフ通過時の海洋長波の位相速度の急増に伴い,正の気圧偏差前面に形成された第1波の押し波が気圧波よりも30~60分早く九州西岸に到達することが示された.気圧波が長崎湾に到達する際に,25分から30分 の周期帯の成分が増幅し,第3波で全振幅2m以上の副振動が発生することが示された.連続した小規模な気圧波群が九州西岸を通過する場合,個々の気圧波のスケールが小規模であっても,数10波連続すると九州西岸の広範囲において気象津波の到達による副振動が生じ,湾の固有振動周期の振動が長時間残存することが示された.

ニホンザルは毛づくろい中にシラミ卵をつまみ上げて食べる。その行動の形成過程B過程を調べるため、毛づくろい中におけるつまみ上げる行動について、餌付け群である志賀A-1群で横断的調査を行った。デジタルビデオカメラを用いて毛づくろい行動を撮影L録し、DVD-Rに落として、DVDプレイヤーで静止tスローを使ってつまみ上げ行動を解析した。コドモではつまみ上げた後、つまみ上げをやめ、別のところを探索することが多かったが、年齢が上昇するにつれてつまみ上げたものを食べる割合が上昇した。このつまみ上げた後でつまみ上げたものを食べる割合は年齢と相関した(Kendall順位相関、P< 0.01)。また同じ年齢群内での食べる割合の分散も年齢が上昇するにつれて、小さくなった。一方、性別による違いは見られなかった。言い換えると、コドモではよく見られるシラミ卵処理以外のつまみ上げるs動が、オトナになると毛づくろいの中で起こらなくなっていく。まとめると、毛づくろい中のつまむ行動は、大人になるにつれて、シラミ卵処理行動に収れんする。食べる割合は、子供期に個体間分散が大きく、成長するにつれて個体間分散が小さくなることから、摘み上げるものがシラミ卵になるようにニホンザルが学習獲得していくのでないかと示唆された。

[Purpose] This study aimed to investigate the movement of the thorax, lumbar spine, and pelvis when healthy participants sit on a chair, and to identify the kinematic characteristics due to changes in the height of the seat. [Participants and Methods] Twenty healthy participants (14 males, 6 females; mean age, 29 ± 5 years) were recruited for this study. They performed stand-to-sit motion using one seat with a height of 100% that of the lower leg length (standard) and another with a height of 60% that of the lower leg length (lower). A three-dimensional motion analysis system and four force plates were used to analyze each joint angle. [Results] The mean lumbar spine flexion angle was significantly increased in the lower versus the standard seat. As a kinematic characteristic, the pelvis tilted posteriorly while the thorax tilted anteriorly, which increased the lumbar spine flexion angle. The pelvis was tilted posteriorly when the hip joint flexed about 60° regardless of the seat height. [Conclusion] The lumbar spine flexion angle increased in the lower seat stand-to-sit motion, which suggested an increase in the load on the lumbar spine. The lumbar spine flexion angle was influenced by the characteristic movements of the thorax and pelvis.

This study investigates the nogeiko practiced by the Sekiguchi school of the Takeda family from the second year of Bunka to the end of the Edo Era. It clarifies the changes in practical form during that period and investigates the meaning of those changes as regards the evolution of kenjyutsu into a competitive sport utilizing historical nogeiko materials owned by the Takeda family. The findings of this paper can be summarized as follows : (1) There had been kenjyutsu schools which had adopted shiai, a training method using shinai (bamboo sword) and bogu (protector), before Chuzo Nakanishi, regarded as a pioneer in the reformation of training methods, adopted shinai-uchikomi-geiko during the years of Horeki. Such kenjyutsu schools played a leading role in the advancement of kenjyutsu-taryujiai when it began to spread ; the Sekiguchi school of the Takeda family was one such kenjyutsu school. (2) In the practical form of this school there were definite changes from the second year of Bunka to the end of the Edo Era as follow : a) Kata disappeared from practice and only matches were held. b) The format of matches which imitated actual fighting or which utilized traditional tactics was replaced by one which was simpler and more sportlike. c) Tosen, a duty which had been reserved for only a few kenjyutsu disciples of highest rank, came to be performed by those in each rank, including the lowest rank of the school. d) The nogeiko had been practiced by the Sekiguchi school as its own special event. But later they came to be practiced by several kenjyutsu schools gathered at one place. (3) As a background to such changes in the nogeiko, there were two factors. One was that there were qualitative changes in kenjyutsu itself, that is to say, its transformation into a competitive sport. The other was gokenbun, inspection by clan officials, adopted as a policy by clan rulers in order to promote development of the martial arts because of the tense social situation during the latter part of the Edo period.

欧米の字体については、Russell-Minda, E. 他(2007) [1] により、 Times New Roman のような“ひげ飾り(上下端の細い飾り)”のある文字(セリフ文字)よりも、Arial(アリアル/エアリアル)、Verdana(ベルダナ)などのひげ飾りのない文字(サンセリフ文字)が、視覚障害者には読みやすいと報告されている。これをふまえ、日本語の書体について、視覚障害学生の読みやすい文字を、以下のように解説した。第1 に、使用する文字の大きさと無関係に、明朝系の文字を好む学生は多くはない。第2 に、14ポイントのような比較的小さな文字を使う学生は、MS ゴシックやHG 丸ゴシックなど、あまり太くないゴシック系の文字を好む。しかし、使用する文字が大きくなるにつれ、ゴシック系でも太い字体、MG ゴシックやHGS 創英角ゴシックへと読みやすい書体が移っていく。
