Microparticle (MP)-associated tissue factor (TF) activity in plasma might play a role in human disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). The aim of this study was to compare MP-TF activity between non-DIC and DIC groups. Ten clinically healthy beagles and 26 diseased dogs were enrolled. The proportion of dogs with increased MP-TF activity was significantly higher in the DIC group than the non-DIC group (P=0.014). MP-TF activity in the DIC group was significantly higher than the non-DIC group (P=0.021). MP-TF activity positively correlated with plasma D-dimer concentration (r=0.42, P=0.034). Moreover, MP-TF activity was decreased by the time of recovery in some dogs with DIC. Larger prospective studies are warranted to assess its value as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in DIC.

In this study, we had investigated the benthic deep-sea fauna using the dredge and beam trawl in the region from the continental shelf to the continental slope of the Sea of Kumano, Mie Prefecture, during the No.1722 research voyage of the training ship Seisui-Maru of Mie University. The survey was carried out at 16 stations covering a depth range of 113-1059 m. The results of the survey, 14 phyla had been confirmed. Arthropod, echinoderm, annelid and molluscan macrobenthos were collected from all of the stations. The phylum number of each station was in the range from 4 to 11. The largest number of phyla had been confi rmed at St.10D of boulders bottom(768-800 m depth). Meiobenthos confi rmed in our sample were kinorhynchs, nematodes, tardigrades, loriciferans and small arthropods such as tanaidaceans, copepods and cumaceans. In addition to free-living species, parasitic copepods, isopods, platyhelminthes, acanthocephalans and nematodes had been found in fish, crustaceans and polychaetes.

本研究は、真福寺・西福寺・高幡不動を中心とする仏教寺院における〈神道灌頂〉の資料調査を行い、その儀礼世界の復元を目的としている。真福寺調査においては、『麗気記』及びその注釈と御流神道の灌頂関係聖教及び印信類の調査を、連携研究者大東敬明と協力して行った。ただ、資料によっては修補が必要なものがあり、修理の完成を待ってから調査を進めることになったため、進捗が遅れている。真福寺との関連で、真福寺旧蔵書などがも伝来する覚城院(香川県三豊市)の調査も行い、室町時代初期の神道灌頂関係の印信や聖教を見出した。その成果の一部は、覚城院資料の調査報告会にて発表した。西福寺については、連携協力者中山一麿と協力して、神道灌頂の資料と関連する密教聖教の調査を行った。高幡不動については、調査の前提として、目録のデータ入力を業者に依頼したが、完成が年度末になったため、本格的調査は来年度以降となった。上記のほか、高野山大学図書館(和歌山県高野町)、木山寺(岡山県真庭市)に、富士市博物館においても調査を行った。高野山大学図書館調査では、複数の室町時代の御流神道系灌頂資料を見出し、書誌調査を行った。木山寺では、江戸時代の高野山における御流神道の中心寺院だった日光院旧蔵資料が多く見出され、それの整理と書誌調査を行った。富士市博物館では、同博物館所蔵東泉院資料の中から『大祝詞事』という、神道灌頂や中世神話に関する聖教の調査を行った。研究成果としては、8月にリスボンで行われたEAJS(ヨーロッパ日本学会)において父母代灌頂という神道灌頂に関する口頭発表(「神道灌頂における宗教的心身論」)を行ったほか、3月末に刊行された中世禅籍叢刊『稀覯禅籍集 続』の中で「安養寺流と真福寺の神道聖教」という論考を発表した。

軟鋼の電弧熔接に於けるスパッターリング現象即ち第1圖の如く熔融小粒子が火花として多數飛散する現象を高速度寫眞によつて撮影研究し,スパッターリングの發生する原因機構を明かにしてゐる.外観的には同じく第1圖の火花として見受けられるスパッターリングもその發生原因は種々あるのであつて,大體目次III~VIIIに示す如くである.VIIIの特殊の場合は第II報に述べることゝして本文は一般の場合に就いて此の各の原因別に高速度寫眞を掲げて之を読明論議する.

In this paper, we propose a fast motion planning method for 6 DOF manipulator based on a maze-searching algorithm. Proposed method is utilizing the CPFS (Closest Point First Search) algorithm similar to the Bug2 algorithm proposed by Lumelsky. We have modified CPFS algorithm with FAP (Footprint Avoidance Procedure) in order to guarantee that the planning does not fall into the deadlock situation. At the beginning of the planning, the initial configuration of 6 DOF robot moves straight toward goal configuration . When the path meets collision configuration, the path is generated along the boundary between free- and collision-configuration. Using computer simulation, we evaluate the proposed method with calculation time. As a result, the proposed method can generate a path with 10 times shorter than the RRT method.

This study considers the conflict-prevention mechanisms over international rivers between India and its neighboring countries (Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal). India is a country where three important international rivers flow. The discussion concerns the Indus, the Ganges and the Mahakali rivers. Conflicts have taken place in the past over water resources between India and its neighboring countries, but India has presently signed treaties and Memorandum of Understandings and established mutually acceptable mechanisms for the development and management of the rivers. Furthermore, they have put in place permanent joint organizations, exchange of data, and river inspections.Previous studies have analyzed how the conflict-prevention mechanisms were established in the process; however, no one has examined their effectiveness and weaknesses. In addition, there are no studies comparing policies and diplomatic efforts for all three rivers.India and its neighbors have instituted permanent joint organizations to manage the water resources and have kept these organizations far from another politics. The role of mechanism’s factor is important and thus it was also investigated. For example, in the case of the Indus River, the mechanism does not specify the quantity of water allocated as shown in the Ganges River, but it effectively provides for a territorial type of sharing. It does not change the bounders between India and Pakistan, but traces a fictitious line that divides the basin and limits the sovereign rights of use of each state. In the case of the Mahakali River,which is at the border of India and Nepal, both countries benefited equally from the instituted irrigation and flood management policies.Finally, this study examined the weaknesses of the conflict-prevention mechanisms. In the case of the Indus River, Pakistan has filed complaints against India to the Permanent Court of Arbitration concerning water resources for India to resolve the conflict. The court favored Pakistan on three out of four points, namely the restriction on India to maintain the minimum flow of the River, environmental protection and the diversion of water. However, the court ruled against and maintained that the instituted mechanisms function well.In conclusion, while water supply and demand across the world is tight, considering mechanisms to prevent conflicts over water resources between countries will be significant. Especially, water demand in Asia is even sharply increasing compared to the world. Among them, India is a unique example of a country that shares waterways with more than one country.

This study clarified the factors of spreading wood burials in Germany comparing with Japanese challenges of them. The actual state of wood burials in Germany was figured out through literature researches, fieldworks and interview researches. German wood burial is placed as a new forest use in addition to the multiple public functions of forest. In contrast, Japanese wood burial is a new form of graveyard. In addition to that, German wood burials are managed by private enterprises which contract with forest owners and controlled by foresters in a sustainable nature based forest management. This is the reason why the wood burials in Germany look similar and are continued with surrounding forest areas. Japanese wood burials have already diversified and some forest type wood burials are usually managed by Buddhist monks, which face similar challenges in sustainable forest management.
