炎症性腸疾患(IBD)である潰瘍性大腸炎(UC)とクローン病(CD)はそれぞれ長期罹患者が増加し,種々の合併症が発症する.その中でも大腸癌(CRC)は最も重大な合併症であり,生命予後にも強く関与するため,その軽減に努力が重ねられてきた.本稿では,IBDにともなうCRCの近年の疫学的特徴について述べ,特に欧米とは異なったわが国独自の特徴にも触れた.CRC早期発見にはサーベイランス内視鏡(SC)の意義は高い.その適応などについて概要を解説する.

This paper attempts to rethink the "relative autonomy" of the state in capitalist society and criticize "state-centered approach" theoretically. First of all the debate on this concept in neo-Marxism in 1970' s is reviewed and the fact that this concept has a very delicate implication of the autonomy is confirmed. Secondly three phases, in which the autonomy of the state emerges, is theoretically formalized and this frame of reference is applied to the analysis of three typical developmental states which are those in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Thirdly it is assured that the specificity of developmental states can be grasped by that frame. But this does not signify that the developmental state has the "relative autonomy" and it is suggested that it should be not normal capitalist states, which are formed by contingent factors.

Current situation and future possibility of the K-Ar and 40Ar/39Ar dating methods are reviewed focusing their utilization to the Tertiary volcanic rocks. As Tertiary volcanic rocks in general are not completely free from weathering and alteration, special attention should be made in choosing appropriate samples for age analyses. K-Ar and 40Ar/39Ar analytical results are shown for two contemporaneous rocks of Middle Miocene age, one is a porphyritic intrusive rock with holocrystalline groundmass and the other is an extrusive lava with glassy groundmass. The former gives concordant K-Ar and 40Ar/39Ar ages, while the latter shows considerably younger K-Ar and 40Ar/39Ar total gas ages with the obviously disturbed 40Ar/39Ar age spectra in the low temperature fractions. These results suggest that holocrystalline rocks are preferable to glassy rocks in K-Ar and 40Ar/39Ar dating, because glass tends to easily loose the accumulated radiogenic 40Ar not only by decomposition but also by hydration. Accurate and precise age determinations can be achieved by the 40Ar/39Ar incremental heating experiments along with the age spectrum and isochron interpretations. Total fusion 40Ar/39Ar dating for single to a few grains of fresh K-bearing phenocrysts like biotite, sanidine and plagioclase is also useful in knowing the ages for glassy and/or altered rocks. Multiple analyses on such mineral separates ensure the reproducibility of the analyses and reduce the analytical uncertainty by statistical treatments. Systematic 40Ar/39Ar studies are now underway to construct the accurate and precise tectonic history of the Japanese island arc.

Chasteberry, the fruit of Vitex agnus-castus, has been used in Europe from ancient times for medicinal purposes, and is described in De Materia Medica by an ancient Greece physician, Pedanius Dioscorides. Currently, chasteberry is listed in European pharmacopoeia and its medicinal products are widely distributed in the European market. A Japanese regulation on the marketing authorization application for pharmaceutical products including those with European herbal drugs as their active ingredients was promulgated by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in March 2007, and a pharmaceutical product containing chasteberry has been put on the market recently. Since there are several crude drugs derived from the plants belonging to the same genus as chasteberry, the morphological investigation of chasteberry has been performed in order to differentiate it from other crude drugs of the same genus.

The Effects of a brown rice diet on clinical laborator y data in cholesterolemia patients (n=20, 2 men and 18 women) were studied. They had been diagnosed with cholesterolemia having over a 180 mg/dL total cholesterol level and received HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors for treatment of their cholesterolemia. All of the patients usually ingested a polished rice diet. They ingested a brown rice diet instead of a polished one 2 out of 3 meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner ) for 3 months. The mean levels of the total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol after the study had significantly decreased more than those before the stud y. There was a tendency that the triglyceride after the study had decreased. Also, the mean levels of serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen after the study had significantly decreased more than those before the study. These results suggested that the ingestion of a brown rice diet suppor ts health care by improving lipidsis in cholesterolemia.

昭和53年に北部九州, その中でも福岡市の上水と筑後川沿岸の農水は, 異常渇水により大きな水不足を経験した。その対策の渇水調整としてダムからの緊急放流が行われた。この一連の経過を紹介し, その反省と今後の課題について述べるとともに, 水問題の一側面について若干の考察を加えた。水不足の記録をとりまとめ, 今後の水問題研究に役立てることを目的としている。

本研究では、東南アジアのタイ国における政教関係に注目し、国家が宗教に介入するといった制度についての研究を行った。タイ国家は、単にナショナリズムをもとに国民を統合するというためだけに宗教を用いるわけではない。教育、福祉、観光、多文化・多民族社会の政策など、多様な目的に合わせて、宗教集団や宗教的シンボルを行政資源として用いている。このように宗教が行政とつながりを持つことで、宗教団体は活動の制約を課される一方、多様な公共的活動に参入できる可能性もあるということが明らかとなった。

食物アレルギー児は保育園,学校の給食時に症状が誘発されやすく,アナフィラキシーの回避のためには,医療機関との十分な連携が必要である.食物アレルギーの診断を行い,除去食指示書(診断書)により現在の正確な医療情報,誤食時の対応法,アレルゲン除去食品,代替食対応の知識を提供し,全職員・他の児童を含めた食物アレルギー児への理解をはかることが大切である.

国立国語研究所,通信総合研究所,東京工業大学では,科学技術振興調整費開放的融合研究制度の下,自発性の高い話し言葉の情報処理技術の確立を目標に活動を進めている.現在国立国語研究所では,このプロジェクトの一環として,モノローグを対象とした大規模な日本語話し言葉コーパスを作成している.このコーパスには,約700時間の音声(約700万形態素に相当),書き起こしテキスト,および形態素などの情報が含まれる予定である.本稿では,本コーパスの設計の概要および書き起こし基準の詳細について紹介する.
