SrTiO3(STO)は3.2eVの大きさのバンドギャップを持つ遷移金属酸化物半導体である。2次元電子ガスや超伝導など様々な物性が現れ、また金属/STO界面は光触媒などの実用的な観点からも詳細な研究が進められている。本研究では、X線光電子分光を用いて金属/STO界面の電子状態を調べた。金属吸着前後でバンド曲がりの様子が変化した。バンド構造の変化のメカニズムについて述べる。

文書分類は,現代の情報化社会において重要な技術である. また,Word2vecを用いて単語の意味関係をベクトルへ埋め込む分散表現が近年注目を集めており,文書分類へ適用する手法も報告されている. 分散表現は一般的にWord2Vecと呼ばれるツールを用いて生成される.そして,Word2Vecはニューラルネットワークを用いた学習構造をしており,ネットワーク内の入力側の重みを分散表現として利用している.しかし,Word2Vecでは,分散表現とは別にネットワーク上で学習される出力側の重みが存在し,異なる性質を持っていると考えられるが一般的に利用されていない. そこで本稿では,分散表現と出力側の重みを利用したアンサンブル学習による文書分類手法を提案し,提案手法の有用性を示す.

同時2軸制御運動である円運動を行うと,各軸の運動方向が反転する象限切替え時に,摩擦の影響により象限突起と呼ばれる突起状の軌跡誤差が生じる.象限突起が発生することの事実は広く知られているが,その補正のためには現象を正しく理解することが重要である.ここでは,象限突起の発生メカニズムについて,摩擦特性と送り駆動系の外乱抑制特性との関係に基づいて説明するほか,象限突起の発生に影響を及ぼす因子について示す.

Camera trapping is a new method widely used to assess animal distribution, density and behaviour. Although recent studies have reviewed general patterns in camera trap studies and provided recommendations in their usage, primate studies using camera traps have yet to be thoroughly reviewed. Here, I conducted a systematic search for studies using camera traps in primatology (camera trap primate studies [CTPS]). Finding 57 papers published between 2001 and 2017, I recorded their study objectives and methodologies. The number of CTPS started to increase from 2010, and more than half of CTPS (64.9 %) focused on behaviours. The majority of behavioural CTPS investigated foraging behaviours, including tool use, geophagy and predation, while we also found studies exploring activity rhythms, terrestrial behaviour, habitat use and social behaviours. Some studies used camera traps to complete mammal checklists in study areas and confirm the presence of focal primate species. Some ecological CTPS estimated population density using spatial capture-recapture models and capture rates, and I also found a study calculating occupancy probabilities of arboreal primates. I then point out several issues we have to consider when deploying cameras (sensor sensitivity, image type and camera placement) and analysing images obtained (definitions of independent events and potential biases in detection probability). Unfortunately, several CTPS were not designed to test their study questions sufficiently, and many articles failed to report essential information to facilitate repeatability. I argue that future researchers conducting CTPS should focus on nocturnal primates, explore novel methodologies to use the camera-trap images themselves for primate colour and morphology, develop methodologies for density estimation of arboreal primates, and use sophisticated study designs and reporting. Primatologists will be able to test their existing hypotheses using new technologies.

近年、SNSやアプリ等で、投稿された画像やテキストに対してユーザーがウィットに富んだコメントを行い、ユーザー同士でそれらを楽しむ「大喜利」型のゲームが人気を博している。発表者らの研究チームは、このような「大喜利」型のゲーム・システムを、大学図書館の利用者教育に活用するためのコンテンツ開発を行ってきた。本発表では、発表者らのチームが開発した、大学図書館の資源を用いて、大学生活で起きそうなトラブルを即興的なアイディアで解決する「大喜利」型カードゲーム・コンテンツについて報告する。

This research examined longitudinally over one year attitudinal and motivational changes of 296 Japanese 7th-grade students learning English. Levels of student's interest and emotion, study habits, perceived utility of English and familiarity with English-speaking people, as well as degree of parental encouragement, and self-rated attainment all decreased from the beginning of the school year until the third or seventh month, being followed by a stabilizing trend after those periods. Student's goals became realistic after the learning for one year. Students with initially high English ability performed better and showed more positive attitudes and motivation than those with initially low ability, whereas the former were suggested to be more vulnerable to the junior high school environment than the latter. Girls had higher scores than boys in most attitudinal and motivational variables, although girls had a lower expectancy of their own performance than boys in the goal-setting area. Instrumental and integrative types of motivation in learning English were not differentiated in the students' perceptions at the beginning of their English education in the seventh grade.
