レーザーコンプトン散乱ガンマの核共鳴蛍光散乱を用いて、隠ぺいされた核物質の検知の研究を行っている。産業化のため、原子力機構が保有する小型のマイクロトロンを用いたガンマ線発生及び、ガンマ線の散乱実験結果について報告する。

To assess the changes in attitudes toward smoking after the smoking-prevention classes presented by Kumamoto Tobacco-Free Forum, this study administered a questionnaire survey to first-year junior high school students before and after a smoking-prevention class at a junior high school. The questionnaire that was used to pre and post comparison comprised thirteen items, ten from the Kano Test for Social Nicotine Dependence (KTSND-Youth) and three as follows: "I think I will be a smoker in the future," "I think I will smoke about once," and "What do you think of people around you who smoke tobacco?" The results of this pre- and post-class questionnaire indicate that attitudes toward seven items improved in a statistically significant way. These included four from KTSND-Youth: "Smokers cannot stop even if they want to," "Smoking is adult-like and cool," "Smoking is enjoys taste and a fragrance," and "If it's a place with an ashtray, it's okay to smoke." The smoking-prevention classes significantly decreased total KTSND-Youth scores. Furthermore, the analysis has clarified that the KTSND-Youth items: "Smoking is adult-like and cool" and "Doctor and school teachers say, 'Tobacco is no good too much", as well as the item "What do you think of people around you who smoke tobacco?" are significantly influencing factors for the item "I will be a smoker in the future." These results indicate that the smoking-prevention classes presented by Kumamoto Tobacco-Free Forum were effective for decline in social nicotine dependence of the first-year students in junior high school.

本研究は、コンクリートの養生中の温度履歴がコンクリートの乾燥収縮ひずみおよび細孔構造に与える影響について検討を行ったものである。高温で養生されたコンクリートでは、直径6nm以下の微細な細孔の容積は減少し、直径50nmから100nmの細孔容積が増加する。直径6nm以下の細孔容積と乾燥収縮ひずみとの間には相関関係がみられることから、高い温度で長く養生されたコンクリートは細孔構造が粗になることで、乾燥に伴う水分損失量は多くなるが乾燥収縮ひずみは小さくなる。

It is difficult to entrust contractors with daily cleaning services in government offices due to security reasons. Therefore, the quality of cleanness in those rooms is ensured by room users' self-cleaning works. In order to study how to improve the quality of cleanness in those rooms where daily cleaning services are not provided by any contractor, such as "Office work room", "Meeting room" and so on, we assessed the actual situation of room users' self-cleaning works in this study. In detail, room users' self-cleaning works were classified under 4 categories according to the type of cleaning works, "Floor sweeping", "Floor wiping", "Desktop cleaning" and "Trash & ashtray cleaning". And the frequency of cleaning works as well as the number of room users who performed it in respective categories was surveyed. Further, it was analyzed that the relativity between the room users' actual cleaning performance and the result of self-evaluation on the degree of their practice. Also, our study assessed factors which affect the self-evaluation on the frequency of their self-cleaning works such as "Frequently", "Occasionally" and "Hardly".

The subject of this paper is to clarify users' evaluation related with spatial components of resting space in shopping street. The conclusions are as follows: 1) As for shrubbery, the front building window ratio and space type, the relation with the users' evaluation is high, the ashtray, automatic vending machine etc. the relation with the users' evaluation is low. 2) Three viewpoints of design nature, opening nature, and activity nature were able to find out it as the rest space evaluation viewpoint of the user. 3) In design nature, when there are the spatial component elements such as shrubbery and fountain evaluation becomes high. In opening nature and activity nature, the space type and building window ratio etc. evaluation becomes high.

At 2 PM, on 7th December 1828, a major earthquake occurred at Kanagawa post town, in Yokohama city. In the present study, using historical documents describing this event, we obtain a detailed map of the distribution of seismic intensity. It is clarified that the area of seismic intensity 6 to 7 (JMA scale) covers the main areas of Yokohama city. The area of intensity 5 covers whole part of Tokyo city zone, the eastern part of Kanagawa prefecture. The magnitude of this event was estimated at 6.4 using the area of intensity 5.

本研究では,誘導結合プラズマ飛行時間型質量分析計(ICP-TOFMS)を自動車排出粒子中の無機元素に対し,連続測定を行う技術へと応用した.ガソリン自動車排出粒子に対し,エンジンオイルの添加物に由来する各元素を検出することが可能であった.

大規模災害後の被災地では,ドアや壁が壊れて外部から侵入しやすくなった建物や,人々が避難して無人になった家屋や店舗が多くなることなどから,便乗犯罪が発生しやすい.また,災害によるダメージからの回復が遅れればそれだけ犯罪を誘発する要因が解消されず,犯罪は発生し続けることになる.逆に言えぼ,災害被害からの復旧・復興が速やかに進めば,犯罪発生は抑制されることになる.災害の被害が大きいほど,また災害被害からの回復が遅いほど犯罪が発生しやすいということは,阪神淡路大震災(1995年1月発生)のあとの被災地住民を対象とした調査では示されている.そこで,本研究では,地理的条件などが異なる東日本大震災(2011年3月発生)でも同様なことが言えるかどうかを調べた.東日本大震災のあとの被災地(宮城県及び福島県)の住民(n=1030)を対象にインターネット調査を実施し,ロジスティック回帰分析により検討したところ,震災被害が大きいと,また震災被害からの回復が遅いほど,「自転車・オートバイ盗」や「住宅への空き巣」が発生しやすいことなど,阪神淡路大震災後の調査と同様な傾向が確認できた.

Intense sound is radiated due to aeroacoustic feedback loop from a flow around the trailing edge of a curved plate with a kink shape such as a bonnet of an automobile. For the reduction of this noise, the control by a plasma actuator (PA) was investigated. The aim of this investigation is to clarify the effects of flow control by the PA on noise reduction and the noise reduction mechanism. To do this, wind tunnel experiments with a half-scale bonnet model and direct numerical simulations of flow and sound fields were performed. The investigation of the effects of the position for the installation of the PA on the control presents that the control at the position close to the flow separation point around the kink is effective for the noise reduction. Also, the control effects were compared between co-flow and counter-flow configurations regarding the direction of the mean induced flow by the actuator to the freestream. The mean velocity profiles showed that the flow separation was suppressed by the control with both configurations, while this control effect is more effective for the counter-flow configuration. The measured velocity fluctuations present that the power in broadband frequency range in the downstream of the actuator becomes larger by the control with both configurations. The predicted results show that small-scale vortices are shed near the wall around the actuator due to the large counter-flow induced flow. This introduction of the vortices and the intensification of the broadband velocity fluctuations lead to the suppression of the flow separation. Also, the development of the power of the velocity fluctuations at the fundamental frequency of the baseline tonal sound is weakened by the suppression of the flow separation. This supports the predicted results of the suppression of the two-dimensional vortices contributing to the acoustic radiation around the re-attachment point by the control. Consequently, the control can lead to the suppression of the feedback loop of the radiating mechanism of tonal sound.
