Generally in Japan, high skilled UT engineer performed examination and high reliability of examination results are achieved. However, it is not confirmed how high skill and actual probability of detection (POD). In the performance demonstration (PD) system in US, there are determined that the number of defect, minimum number of detection, number of unflawed area and allowable false detection, but it is not considered the defect size. In this study, based on the signal detection theory, the actual POD was estimated by the signal amplitude (defect size) and observed reflection position of field experience data. It was confirmed that the POD is decreased with a less than 3.2 mm depth. The estimated POD for each crack depth well matches the result of laboratory experience data. The probability of failure for piping system was calculated based on this estimated POD, it was lower than 10-7 in case of stress corrosion cracking (SCC) on low carbon stainless steel piping SCC, and it was lower than 10-3 in case of SCC on sensitized stainless steel 304. In order to keep the probability of failure is 10-3 or less, it is only necessary that the POD is 0.95 or greater for large crack as 3.2 mm depth or more. Based on these result, this paper proposed the acceptance criteria for qualification test as training graduation.

[Purpose] The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of dysphagia therapy in an old man with difficulty swallowing in the oral and pharyngeal phases. [Subjects and Methods] The subject was a 72-year-old man with no history of neurological disorders. He was admitted to local hospital because of the complaint of swallowing difficulty. The interventions performed were electrical stimulation and conventional dysphagia therapy. We assessed the tongue and lip muscle strengths. Swallowing function was evaluated by using the videofluoroscopic dysphagia and penetration-aspiration scales. [Results] After the intervention, the tongue and lip muscle strengths increased from 35 to 39 kPa and from 18 to 23 kPa, respectively. Moreover, the oral and pharyngeal phases of the videofluoroscopic dysphagia scale were improved. Furthermore, aspiration decreased from 4 to 2 points in the penetration-aspiration scale. [Conclusion] Our results suggest that electrical stimulation and conventional dysphagia therapy were effective in improving the swallowing function in an elderly individual with dysphagia.

動物介在活動(AAA)に飼い主と共に参加する飼い犬(Canis familiaris)のストレス反応を、尿中カテコールアミン濃度を測定することにより調べた。イヌの覚醒状態に影響すると考えられる次の2要因について検討した: 特別養護老人ホームでのAAAへの参加日数(現地調査1)および対面式での活動時における老人の座席配置(車座と並列)(現地調査2)。現地調査1では、新規参加犬8頭の活動前から活動後にかけた尿中ノルアドレナリン濃度の上昇量が、参加日数が経過するにつれて直線的に低下した(尿中ノルアドレナリン濃度の上昇量に対する参加日数(毎月1回の参加で計9日間)の回帰係数-1.213,R^2=050,P<0.05)。その一方で、活動中の各セッションにおいて、姿勢や行動を相対的に長く抑制された場合には、アドレナリン(長い抑制15.03±9.72ng/mL vs.短い抑制4.53±2.94ng/mL)とノルアドレナリン(長い抑制12.26±8.80ng/mL vs.短い抑制3.62±3.62ng/mL)の濃度上昇は、相対的に短い抑制の場合に比べていずれも有意に大きかった(共にP<0.05)。現地調査2では、尿中カテコールアミン濃度の上昇は、老人の座席配置、すなわち車座(12頭,アドレナリン10.73±9.77ng/mL;ノルアドレナリン7.13±8.01ng/mL)と並列(11頭,アドレナリン13.37±10.63ng/mL;ノルアドレナリン5.70±5.19ng/mL)間で差がみられなかった。これらの結果から、月1回の参加でも、飼い主と一緒であれば、特別養護老人ホームという新規な環境とAAAの雰囲気に、イヌは容易に順応することができ、また見知らぬ老人に囲まれたとしても、特に緊張を感じていないことが示唆された。

遺族が故人とのつながりを維持することがグリーフケア(特に遺族のケア)にとって重要であるという研究が様々な課題を抱えながらも主流になりつつある.とはいえ,遺族の個人に対する関係は一方的なものである.近年の承認論の研究では,自己と他者との間の承認関係が自己の成り立ちやアイデンティティにとって極めて重要であることが指摘されている.従って,遺族が故人との承認関係を維持するためには,故人が他者の地位にあることが望ましいことになる.遺族ケアの課題として,できるだけ双方向的なつながりを維持できるための故人の他者化が必要である.しかし,故人はいわゆる実在する他者ではない.そこで本論では,どのような他者化が可能なのか,また双方向的なつながりの維持のために何が必要なのかを考察した.精神的な他者化を推進する個別的なケアと同時に,こうした関係を安定的に維持させる社会・文化的な価値の創造が必要であると結論づけた.死別,遺族,悲嘆,ケア,承認

規則音声合成技術を用いて,MIDI対応の歌声合成システムを開発した.Standard MIDI Fileを利用して入力された楽譜から,各音符のピッチと時間長を自動的に抽出後,付与された歌詞を音素系列に分解,波形編集型音声合成法により歌声を合成,その後,MIDIと同期を取りBGMと合成された歌声を同時に出力する.本システムの特徴としては,単に音符に歌詞を当てはめて歌声を出力するだけではなく,歌詞入力時に,パワー調整や声質変換,ビブラートなどの情報を付加することができ,歌声を自由に演出できる点があげられる.さらに,歌詞を付与するトラックを複数用意することで,ハーモニやデュエットなども実現可能とした.We developed a singing voice synthesis system correspond to MIDI using Text-to-Speech. The system first accepts a score from a standard MIDI file as input, then pitch and duration of each musical note are extracted automatically. Next phonological series are analyzed from given lyrics, and singing voice is synthesized by waveform speech synthesis. It is played together with BGM by synchronizing with MIDI format data. In this system, users can add other information such as power modulation, speech quality modification or vibrato, and can direct the singing voice. Furthermore, if lyrics is given at two or more trucks, harmony and duet can be also performed.

In this study, a subjective well-being scale was developed, and its reliability and validity evaluated. The Subjective Well-Being Scale (SWBS) had twelve items which covered four domains. It was administered to 1005 adults and 520 college students. Results indicated that for the students, college life satisfaction and self-esteem had positive correlations with SWBS score. For the adults, marital satisfaction, workplace satisfaction, and household income satisfaction had positive correlations with the score. These findings showed considerable constructive validity for SWBS. In addition, internal consistency was sufficiently high, indicating the measure's high reliability. SWBS may be a simple but reliable and valid measure, and it is useful for examining subjective well-being of both adults and college students.

日本語を対象とした情報検索に関する研究開発では、性能(検索精度)の評価に開発元独自の方法が用いられてきた。このような状況に対し、われわれは「情報検索システム評価用データベース構築ワーキンググループ」を設置し、情報検索手法・システムを公正かつ客観的に評価するためのベンチマーク構築を目指している。本稿では、情報検索システムモデル・対象データの特性とサンプル件数・評価法・作成手順などベンチマーク構築に関する現在までの検討内容を報告する。In the research and development of Japanese information retrieval systems, different research groups have been using different measures to evaluate their system because there is no standard or benchmark for them. Our working group in IPSJ-SIGDBS has been developing such a benchmark, and in this report we will present several of its characteristics: IR models, the features and size of texts and queries, evaluation methods, and the development procedure of the benchmark.
