Various kinds of 5'-O-unsaturated acyl 5-fluorouridines were synthesized to obtain 5-fluorouridine derivatives with low toxicity and high antitumor activity. Antitumor activity of the compounds against L-1210 leukemia in mice was examined, and the 5'-O-4-opentenoyl derivative showed the highest antitumor activity.

With the aim of diminishing the toxicity of 5-fluorouracil (1) and obtaining biologically active derivatives of 1 suitable for oral administration, α-alkoxyalkyl groups were introduced at the 1-, 3-and 1, 3-positions of 1. Alkoxyalkylation can be effected by four methods : (i) reaction of 1-alkoxyalkyl chloride (2) with 1, (ii) reaction of acetal with 2, 4-bis (trimethylsiloxy)-5-fluoropy-rimidine, (iii) addition reaction of α-unsaturated ether with 1, (iv) aminolysis of 1-alkylthio-carbonyl-3-(1-alkoxyalkyl)-5-fluorouracil. The toxicity of the products was less than that of 1, and some of these compounds showed moderate antitumor activity against L-1210 leukemia.

In spacecraft systems, it is important to quickly detect and deal with anomalies. However, the increasing complexity of spacecraft systems makes it difficult to avoid failures using previous anomaly detection methods. In recent years, anomaly detection methods based on machine learning have been studied. But it is difficult for a spacecraft to detect anomalies autonomously in orbit. In this study, we propose an anomaly detection method that defines and monitors a single variable representing the health status of a spacecraft system, instead of monitoring a huge amount of telemetry data. We have confirmed that the single variable can represent the health status of a spacecraft system and can be applied to the anomaly detection method.

The theory of “cognitive dissonance” is one of the many topics related to customer satisfaction research. Some research used “free-choice paradigm” which is known to present threats to people in post-decision. However, most of the experiments focus only on theoretical frameworks, leaving aside consumer decision making. Therefore, this paper aimed to clarify the effect of online reviews on post-decision cognitive dissonance. In the experiment, participants were asked to choose the best item from nine earphones, each one of them had online reviews which were manipulated by an experimenter. When some participants saw some reviews which supported their decision, they justified their choices. In contrast, when some participants saw some reviews which unsupported their decision, they didn't only justify but also showed some unpleasant feelings towards the reviews. To conclude, some consumers were strongly influenced by online reviews after purchase.

Adzuki bean is an important legume crop originating in temperate regions, with photoperiod in sensitivity being a key factor in its latitudinal adaptation. The Flowering Date1 (FD1) gene has a large effect on the photoperiodic response of flowering time, but the molecular basis for the effect of this locus is undetermined. The present study delimited the FD1 locus to a 17.1 kb sequence, containing a single gene, an E1 ortholog (VaE1). A comparison between Vigna angularis ‘Shumari’ (photoperiod insensitive) and ‘Acc2265’ (photoperiod sensitive) identified 29 insertions/deletions and 178 SNPs upstream of VaE1 in the FD1 locus. VaE1 expression in ‘Acc2265’ was greater under long-day than short-day conditions, whereas VaE1 expression in ‘Shumari’ was lower regardless of day length. These findings suggested that responsible gene of FD1 is a VaE1, which acts as a floral repressor by being upregulated in response to long-day conditions. The inability to upregulate VaE1 under long-day conditions was linked to its ability to flower under these conditions. These results provide greater understanding of the molecular control of a flowering date and clues enabling the breeding of adzuki bean at higher latitudes.

Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of mass treatment with ivermectin of scabies outbreak in institutional settings. To determine the factors, such as host susceptibility and scabetic exposure level associated with the onset of scabies.Methods: The authors investigated a nosocomial scabies outbreak in a close psychiatric ward. The index case was a man with steroid-induced localized crusted scabies. Twenty-six patients were diagnosed with scabies, 4 of them had relapse of scabies, while no staff was infested. Despite frequent surveillance and treatment of symptomatic patients with 1% gamma-benzenehexachloride (γ-BHC: Lindane), new cases were observed. Thus, all 69 patients in the ward were treated with ivermectin (200μg/kg) simultaneously on day 105 of the outbreak (the mass treatment). Patients who had scabies were compared with patients who had no scabies in terms of age, body weight, diabetes, physical functions, topical administration of corticosteroid, proximity to the index patient, and problematic behavior.Results: The mass treatment was implemented without a significant adverse event. Although two patients developed symptoms of scabies after the mass treatment, no patient in the ward had been diagnosed with scabies since the 98th day of the treatment. Regarding factors associated with the scabies onset, the only statistically significant factor was proximity to the index patient with crusted scabies.Conclusions: Oral ivermectin was safe and effective for controlling scabies in institutional settings. The exposure level to scabetic mites was more important than host susceptibility in determining the risk of scabies onset.

幅広いステークホルダーがSDGs(持続可能な開発目標)に取り組み,成功事例を共有することは重要である.そこで本研究は深層学習型の自然言語処理モデルBERTで,①活動事例や課題をSDGsに写像する分類器を構築すること,② SDGs間の連環関係 (nexus) を可視化すること,③地域課題とそれを解決しうる取り組み事例とのマッチングシステムを構築することを目的とした.まず,国連関連文書,日本の政府関連文書,内閣府が収集するSDGsの課題解決等に関する提案文書を収集し,各文書とそれに対応する複数のSDGsが対になったマルチラベルデータフレームを構築し,WordNetを用いたデータオーグメンテーションを行った.次に,訓練済み日本語BERTモデルをマルチラベルテキスト分類タスクでファインチューニングし,nested cross-validationでハイパーパラメータの最適化と交差検証精度の推定を行った.最後に,学習後のBERTモデルでSDGs間の共起ネットワークを可視化するとともに,地域課題と取り組み事例のベクトル埋め込みを行ってコサイン類似度を取得することで,マッチングシステムの開発を行った.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the area development process on the Zhuoshui river basin in Taiwan between the 1900s and 1910s using the change-over of restricted zone for raw material collection. Initially, some small improved traditional sugar manufacturing plants were established by Taiwanese capitalists. For each, they also acquired small restricted zones for raw material collection and constructed a push-car railway network. Next, some new larger sugar mills were constructed by Japanese capitalists. For each, they also acquired larger restricted zones for raw material collection and constructed a narrow-gauge railway network.

福島県立医科大学医学部 地域・家庭医療学講座では毎年新任者を対象に家庭医療先進国研修ツアーを行っており,今回はデンマークを訪問した.デンマークではリスト・システムにより,かかりつけの家庭医・総合診療専門医(general practitioner; GP)が決められ,GPはゲートキーパーとして,様々な健康問題をカバーしていた.GPの研修期間は5年で,共働きや子育てをしながら研修している者も少なくない.

高音急墜型難聴の場合, 会話域の音に反応が得られることから難聴を疑われず診断が遅れ, その後の対応に苦慮することが少なくない。 そこで今回我々は, 小児の両側高音急墜型難聴28例に対して, 本症の現状を把握する目的で, 診断までの経過, 聴力像, 既往歴, 構音障害, 補聴器装用などについて調査し検討した。 確定診断の平均年齢は7.1歳であった。 構音障害は約3分の2に認められた。 補聴器は半数の症例で装用開始した。 難聴に関連するリスク因子については, 新生児仮死などの周産期異常と遺伝性因子の頻度が高かった。

本稿では,近世後期に見られる洒落本の行為指示表現について,京・大坂・尾張・江戸の4地点の状況を対照し,その地域差について考察した。敬語を用いない形式群を非敬語グループ,敬語オを用いた形式群をオグループ,敬語を用いた形式群を敬語グループとすると,上方は各グループの多様な形式を用いているが,江戸はほとんどが敬語グループであった。尾張は敬語形式の多様性は上方と類似しているが,敬語グループの頻度が高いことは江戸と共通していた。この地域差について,京・大坂では,敬語グループと他の形式,特にオグループを併用することが通常の運用となっているのに対し,江戸では丁寧体を基調とするスタイルにおいて,行為指示表現が「お─なんし」等少数の形式に限定される傾向にあり,中間的な尾張の運用は,心的距離や発話意図によって併用することがあるものの,全体的には敬語グループに偏っており,江戸に近い運用と位置づけられることを述べた。

チューリップの自家不和合性を打破する目的で, 促成時期のちがいと自家不和合性の強弱の関係を調査したほか, 柱頭を花柱から切り放し, その切断面に自家花粉を受粉する柱頭切除受粉法および柱頭を40°~50°Cの温湯に浸漬する高温処理を検討した.1.チューリップ5品種を2月から4月にかけて促成栽培と露地栽培を行い自殖したところ, 露地栽培の自然開花時では全品種とも完全な自家不和合性であったが, 促成栽培では5品種中4品種は自殖によって多数の種子が得られた. 促成栽培を行うことによって,自家不和合性が弱まることが示された.2.柱頭切除後の受粉によって, 供試した5品種すべての自家不和合性が部分的に解消され, 1子房当たり8~81個の自殖種子が得られた. 柱頭切除法によって, 極めて効率よくチューリップの自家不和合性が打破されることが明らかになった.3.柱頭を温湯に浸潰する高温処理法により自殖したところ, 供試した3品種のうち1品種で, 50°C, 1分間処理により24花交配中2花, 3分間処理により24花交配中4花結実し, 低率ではあるが自殖種子が得られた.これらの方法は, チューリップの自殖系統育成法として実用的な技術であると推察された.

本論の目的は,ブルーナーの「意味の行為」論本来の探求の射程を明らかにすることにある。ナラティヴ心理学 の展開におけるブルーナー受容においては,「意味の行為」は専ら物語を介して対象を「意味づける行為」とし て理解されてきた。だが,彼が本来の主張として訴えたのは,人間の意味生成の原理と,その機能の解明という主 題であった。これまでのブルーナー受容は,この論点を不問に処してきた傾向がある。これに対し我々は,ブルー ナーの「意味の行為」論本来の主題の解明に取り組んだ。我々の結論は次の通りである。ブルーナーの主張した 「意味の行為」とは,前提や常識,通例性の破綻として定義される混乱の発生に相対した精神が,その破綻を修復し, 平静を取り戻そうとする「混乱と修復のダイナミズム」の過程として理解することができる。この過程は,何ら かの混乱の発生に伴って生じた,今,この時点においては理解し難い出来事が,いずれ何らかの意味を獲得するこ とによって理解可能になるような「可能性の脈絡希求の行為」として定義することができる。最後に我々は,ブ ルーナーの「意味の行為」論は,心理学の探求による公共的な平和の達成という思想的展望を有することを指摘 した。この展望は特定の文化的脈絡の中で生きる我々が,他者と共に平穏な生活を営んでいくために精神が果た し得るその機能は何か,という問いと結びつくものであることが明らかとなった。
