This paper proposes a new method of numerical calculation for fractional derivatives. Conventional methods using difference approximation have some defects such as rounding errors and computation time. In this paper, fractional derivatives are expressed as the combination of ordinary derivatives and integrals which are calculated using automatic differentiation and double exponential formula, respectively. Numerical examples show that the proposed method gives high-precision results with practical computational cost.

While Medea, the eponymous protagonist of Seneca's tragedy, has been interpreted in various ways, as a furious woman, as a symbol of the nature, as a witch, etc., not enough attention has been paid to her important position as the wife of Iason. The purpose of this paper is to explore, through an analysis of the construction of the play, the ways in which Seneca treats Medea as Iason's wife, and thereby to clarify the side of her character that signifies her as a proud heroine. The paper first focuses on the parallelism that we find between the prologue and the final scene. The words at 53-56 are intended to notify the audience/reader of the correspondence between her past kin-killings and those to come. It will suggest one more parallelism: her abandonment of her homeland and later the abandonment of her husband, too. The paper then considers the ambiguity of Medea's identity as Iason's wife. Since we hear an account of Iason's wedding with Creusa as taking place during the drama, we wonder whether she still retains her status as a wife. And since the author links those crimes to their marital relationship, we ask, in addition, who is responsible for the past crimes - only Medea or her husband as well? I shall argue that she keeps hold of her status throughout the play. We next consider Medea's change from 170 to 910. She was at the start a weak woman with no inherited property and nowhere to go, but her newly acquired supernatural power gives her the strength that enables her to overcome Creon and Creusa and, so, to leave her husband. Finally, the paper examines the different motives for Medea's two son-killings. Seneca divides the murder scene into two parts. The first killing means the atonement for her murder of her brother and her own punishment for past crimes; but it also involves her 'return of the dowry' at 982-984, an act that marks the end of her marriage. In this way, she abandons her position of Iason's wife volountarily, and takes the lead in the divorce from her husband. The second killing occurs right in front of Iason's eyes: this not only signifies her revenge on him but also her resolution to cut herself off from him completely. She asks him 'coniugem agnoscis tuam?' While several past studies have translated these words as "This is your wife", I shall argue that it is in fact a rhetorical question meaning "Do you recognize your wife in me? I am not your wife any longer". While, in the prologue, Medea was surrounded by enemies on all sides, in the final scene Iason is left alone and has nowhere to go. Their positions are now reversed entirely and Medea accomplishes the purpose that she had hinted at in the prologue. She would not allow herself to be a passive figure in the divorce. Seneca molded her as above all a proud-hearted wife.

超高齢社会を迎えた日本では, 要介護原因の1位が認知症となり, 一方, 認知症の分野で ‘難聴’ が一気に社会的注目を集めるきっかけとなった Lancet 国際委員会の報告では, 医学的介入により認知症発症を予防できる要因として難聴が筆頭に挙げられた. 認知症や認知症以外の不利益に対し, 難聴が関連しているというエビデンスは積み重ねられており, 健康寿命の延伸のために, 中年期以降の聴力維持はますます重要性を増すと考えられる. 認知症だけでなく認知機能障害や認知機能ドメインと聴力, 就労や所得と聴力, 不慮の事故による負傷リスクと聴力, に関する先行研究の報告を概説し, 補聴器の使用がいかに影響するかを検討した研究を取り上げた. 補聴器の認知症予防に対する効果は, 集団規模の大きな, 長期間の追跡プロジェクトが各国で実施されているものの, 結果は必ずしも一定しない. われわれが遂行中の, 補聴器使用と認知機能に関する研究も中間解析について紹介した. それらを踏まえて, 超高齢社会の難聴ケアについて期待を込めた今後の展望を述べた.

ブルー・オパールは大変綺麗な色調であり,人気のある宝石の一つである。その中に変色するものがあったので、その原因について報告する。 この変色は、標本ケースに入れた状態で生じており、ケース内部が青色になってしまっていることから、オパールから染み出てきたことによることは明らかである。そこで、変色した標本について、X線粉末回析実験とエルギー分散型EPMA により化学組成の分析を試みたので、それらの結果を報告する。 (1)X線粉末回折実験 装 置 ・リガク製X線ディフラクトメータ RINT ULTIMA3 条 件 ・X線源:Cu Kα ・電圧/電流:40kV / 20mA 結 果 非晶質のシリカの回折パターンを示す。いわゆるOpal-CTである. (2)エルギー分散型EPMA 装 置 ・日本電子製JSM-6360 + OXFORD製INCA EDS 条 件 ・加速電圧:15 kV ・測定範囲:20 mm ・積算時間:60 sec 結 果 銅と塩素が検出された. 以上の結果から,青緑色を呈する塩化銅(Ⅱ)のニ水和物によって着色されたオパールと思われる。 なお、無水の塩化銅(Ⅱ)は黄褐色である。 流通しているブルー・オパールのネックレスで、身に着けている間に黄色に変色した報告もある。これは,塩化銅(Ⅱ)のニ水和物が脱水して無水になったためと考えられる。塩化銅が人為的に含浸させたものかどうかは不明であるが、流通しているブルー・オパールの取扱いには注意が必要である。

菱川師宣絵本。貞享2年江戸の鱗形屋刊。源氏物語54帖の各巻を表現した大和絵を円窓の中に描き、下部に巻名を記し、上部円窓のそとに長歌と各巻の説明を施している。全ての巻に解説が施されているのではなく、冒頭桐壺から槇柱までの21図の上部には後光明院御製と称する54帖の巻名を順に詠み込んだ長歌を記し、梅が枝以下の図にはその巻についての説明となっている。なお、円窓図の巻の配列は通常と異なり、例えば夢の浮橋の後に竹河と紅梅の巻が配されている。長歌に詠み込んだ巻名順は通常の順である。(岡雅彦)

This article examines every aspect of the history of ninth and tenth century northern China based on the recently discovered Zhimo 支謨 Epitaph. During the ninth and tenth centuries, the region of Daibei 代北 (the northern part of what is now Shanxi 山西 province) was politically, militarily and commercially one of the most important regions throughout eastern Eurasia. It was the center of a military clique during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, and during that time, was the staging ground for repeated campaigns of advancing nomadic tribes. It is no exaggeration that the history of ninth and tenth century Daibei determined the China's historical development during the centuries that followed. Therefore, the task of decoding the Zhimo Epitaph and clarifying the movements of the nomadic powers of Daibei during the last decades of the Tang Dynasty will enable a more systematic understanding of those events occurring in ninth and tenth century northern China that would deeply influence the historical development of East Asia in the centuries to come. The author begins by transcribing the rubbed copy version Zhimo Epitaph into a text, in order to discuss 1) how the Shatuo 沙陀 Turks intended to seize the economic foundations of the Tang Dynasty from the very beginning of their territorial expansion during its last years, 2) how the historiography concerning that expansion was altered considerably as it was transmitted through the regimes formed by the Shatuo Turks during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, by comparing the Zhimo Epitaph with other extant sources, and 3) the concrete image of the upheaval staged by the Shatuo Turks at the end of the Tang period and how that upheaval influenced the history of East Asia during the following centuries. Therefore, due to the excavation of the Zhimo Epitaph, it has become possible to gain new perspectives on the formation of the Five Kingdoms.

いうまでもなく、阿字本不生・本不生は真言密教の教理、実践の根幹をなすものであり、ことに阿字観はまさしく阿字本不生を教学的な基盤としている。したがって、古来、阿字本不生・本不生に関する著作研究は数少なくない。しかも、それらのほとんどすべては阿字本不生を自明の理として、それを前提としているかのようである。だが、阿字本不生・本不生にはさまざまな問題がふくまれている。従来の解釈や理解の仕方を紹介して、どこに問題点があるかを明らかにしたい。そして、それらの問題をどう考えるべきか、また本不生に関わる空の問題を問い直してみたい。

近年の都市構造の変容と急激なライフスタイルの変化に伴い,人間が屋内で過ごす時間は長時間化し,逆に屋外で直射日光を浴びる時間は年々短くなっている.過度な紫外線の被曝は皮膚癌やシワ,シミの発生可能性を高めるが,一方で適度な紫外線被曝は体内でのビタミン D の生成に必要不可欠である.また,基本的に野菜に含まれていないビタミン D の不足は,カルシウム不足や低カルシウム血症,骨の軟化やうつ病などに繋がる危険性があり,長期的な健康管理において,紫外線被曝量の管理は重要である.しかしながら,紫外線センサを常に携帯することはユーザの負担が大きく,長期的な利用には日常的に計測または推定可能な手法が必要である.そこで本研究では,スマートフォンに搭載された GPS モジュールを用いて,GPS 信号の受信状態から紫外線量を推定する手法の検討を行う.

四肢切断後に現われる幻肢痛をはじめとする神経障害性疼痛の発症には, 大脳を中心とした中枢神経系の可塑性が関与していることが最近の脳機能画像研究から確立しつつある. 本稿では, 幻肢痛を含む病的疼痛全般は脊髄上位中枢神経系に由来するというわれわれの持論から, まず幻肢の随意運動の中枢神経系における制御機構について概説し, そこから幻肢が中枢神経系にとって健常肢として存在すれば幻肢痛が寛解するという仮説を提案する. 続いて, われわれが行っている鏡を用いて幻肢の随意運動を獲得させることによる臨床治療 (鏡療法) からわれわれが提案した仮説を検証し, 鏡療法の有効性と限界, 今後の展開の可能性について概説する.
