The effects of tensile stress and strain on magnetization and magnetic domains in grain-oriented silicon steel sheets were investigated. The strain-magnetization properties of plastic deformation regions under stress showed peculiar characteristics. The magnetization increased with decreasing strain and, after reaching a peak value, decreased with decreasing strain. We observed Lancet domains in a sample after removing stress applied to a plastic deformation region. This phenomenon can be explained by changes in the domain structures, which were partly observed. The results obtained in this investigation can be applied to the nondestructive detection of fatigue in metallic magnetic materials.

This paper presents the findings of a questionnaire survey on usage of air-conditioners and windows among selected households in apartment houses in Johor Bahru City, Malaysia and compares the results with those in terraced houses surveyed previously. The frequency of respondents who open their windows during the nighttime in apartment houses was higher by 20% than that in terraced houses. However, this did not directly contribute to reduce the use of air-conditioners in apartment houses. It is especially important to find out the means to reduce both numbers and use of air-conditioners directly in order to help achieve energy-saving objectives in Malaysian residential areas.

<p>現在の日本において,聴覚・言語障害者が360,000人であるのに対して手話通訳士は3,406人となっており,聴覚障害者に比べて手話通訳士の人数が少なくなっている.この状況は,聴覚障害者と健聴者間の円滑なコミュニケーションを困難にし,聴覚障害者の積極的な社会参加を妨げる要因の一つとなっている.この問題を解決する手段として,本研究ではKinect v2を用いた手話通訳士を介さないリアルタイム手話通訳システムの開発を行った.また,手話動作の認識において動作者の表情が重要なパラメータとなることから,本システムでは腕の動きと手の形,表情の3つの状態を認識し,それぞれArms Motions,Hand States,Facial Expressionsパラメータとして動作データの取得を行う.さらに,取得した各パラメータデータの組み合わせから手話動作を特定し,通訳結果をモニター上にテキストで表示する.本研究では,各パラメータ認識手法の検証実験と通訳システムの実証実験を行った.検証実験の結果において,Arms Motionsで100%,Hand Statesで86%,Facial Expressionsで88%の認識精度が得られた.また,実証実験の結果において,3つのパラメータ認識手法を組み合わせた手話通訳システムを用いた手話単語の通訳に成功した.以上により,本システムの手話通訳における有効性が示された.</p>

漢文の訓読において用いられる返り点は、長年の慣習と伝統の中から生まれてきた実用性に富むものであるが、現代的な観点でみると必ずしも構造化されておらず、合理性に欠ける面がある。この点を補うため、返り点記号の一種として丸括弧を導入することを提唱する。丸括弧内の文字列は、丸括弧外の文字列との関係においては一文字として扱う。丸括弧の導入により、一二点・上下点などの各種の返り点は不要となり、レ点のみで用が足りる。また、従来の返り点があくまでも文字を訓読する順序を示すに過ぎなかったのに対して、括弧を用いることで構文が捉えやすくなることを示す。

阪神大震災などの大規模災害には, 被災者の心的外傷後ストレス障害(PTSD)ばかりでなく, 援助活動に従事した人や外部からのボランティアが精神的ストレスに悩まされる間接被災の問題が取り上げられるようになった. これの1つの解決策として, パソコンのマルチメディア機能を利用するELIZAシステムを提案する. 自然言語で対話するELIZA(別名DOCTOR)システムは, M.I.TのWeizenbaumが精神科医C.Rogersの患者中心の精神療法に基づいて開発したシステムである. 現在Emacs Lispのデモプログラムとして容易に利用できるので, これに震災用語を追加し, テキストリーダーのソフトウェアと結合して, 音声発話を可能にした.

光源氏はなぜか斎宮との恋におちることはない。しかし斎宮の物語は単なる挿話ではなく、背後に伊勢神宮の磁力を巡らしつつ、源氏の王権物語をダイナミックに展開させていく。そしてその要の役割を果たすのが、斎宮の母としての六条御息所である。御息所を斎宮の母という観点から捉え、これを斎宮や巫女の歴史の中に位置付けてみると、源氏物語は、律令制からやらわれたかつてのヒメの自己回復の物語としての相貌を帯びてくる。

The cycle of Sts. George, Jerome and Tryphon for the Scuola Dalmata was executed by Vittore Carpaccio in ca. 1502-1511. The Vision of St. Augustine of the cycle is based on the apocryphal letters. Compared with the examples of same subject and the representations of the other study, it reveals that this work is different from the traditional iconography. The setting of study and chapel focused on both the contemplative life and the daily work of bishop. It finds also the details which demonstrate a kind of collectionism. These become the factors which remind anyone's portrait. When we concern on this problem, it's important to see it in the patronal context. The production of the cycle has been inspired by the donation of the relic by Paolo Vallaresso, and it's also important to remember that Maffeo Vallaresso is the archbishop of Zara. He is the humanist-ecclesiastic, interested with the art, which recorded in his letters. On considering these factors, the setting of study and art-conscious details, in the contemporary context, so it can say that the St. Augustine's study is intended to allude the intellectual and ecclesiastical figure of Maffeo Vallaresso.

_"Woher kommt uns Zarathustra? Wer sind ihm Vater und Mutter? Schicksal und Lachen sind Zarathustras Vater und Mutter: das grause Schicksal und das liebliche Lachen erzeugten sich solchen Sprößling." Diese Notiz findet man in den nachgelassenen Fragmenten von Nietzsche zweimal: in denen vom Herbst und denen vom Winter 1883, dem Jahr, in dem Nietzsche _"Also sprach Zarathustra" schrieb. Außerdem wurde im Nachlaß auch ein Plan veröffentlicht, nach dem ein Teil des betreffenden Buchs den Titel _"Die Gelächter der Höhe (Glück des Säemanns)" tragen sollte. Der Titel erscheint nicht im veröffentlichten Werk. Aber das Motiv des Lachens klingt gleichsam wie ein Grundton durchs ganze Werk hindurch an. Die Eigenart dieses Lachens habe ich in meiner Abhandlung zu erörtern versucht.<br>Eine erste Eigenschaft von Zarathustras Lachen dürfte die Funktion der Verneinung und Zerstörung sein. Dem erwähnten Plan entsprechend finden sich im Anfangskapitel des zweiten Teils die beiden Wörter _"Säemann" und _"Gelächter". Zarathustra war wieder ins Gebirge gegangen und hatte sich den Menschen entzogen, wo er gleich einem Säemann, der seinen Samen ausgeworfen hat, wartet. Aber als er durch einen Traum davon erfuhr, daß seine Lehre in Gefahr sei, betrübte ihn das nicht, er freute sich eher, wieder hinabgehen und seine wilde Weisheit verschenken zu dürfen. Er sagt: _"Zwischen Gelächter will ich Hagelschauer in die Tiefe werfen." Und er stellt fest, daß er und seine Löwin vieles miteinander gelernt hätten. Die Löwin, von der Zarathustra hier im Zusammenhang mit der wilden Weisheit spricht, scheint mir sehr wichtig. Der Löwe ist das Symbol des freien Geistes. Nach den drei Verwandlungen des Geistes wird das tragsame Kamel in der einsamsten Wüste zum Löwen, der Gott und die bisherigen höchsten Werte verneint und zerstört. In der Tat gibt es viele Beispiele vernichtenden Gelächters im zweiten Teil. Zara-thustra lacht über die Tugendhaften, weil sie einen Lohn für die Tugend und den Himmel fürs Erdenleben haben wollen. Er deckt auf, daß die Taranteln, die Prediger der Gleichheit, versteckte Rachsüchtige sind, und _"lacht ihnen ins Antlitz sein Gelächter der Höhe." Im Lande der Bildung lacht und lacht er über die Gegenwärtigen, etwas so Buntgesprenkeltes, weil alle Zeiten und Völker, alle Sitten und Glaubensanschauungen aus deren Gebärden wir durcheinander reden. Im dritten Teil lacht er über Gott. Er stellt sich vor, wie die alten Götter sich selber einmal zu Tode gelacht haben, als ein eifersüchtiger Gott sich zum gottlosesten Wort versteigt: _"Es ist Ein Gott! Du sollst keinen andern Gott haben neben mir!" Zum Gegenstand des Lachens wird sich auch Zarathustra selbst. Im ersten Teil lacht er über den Geist der Schwere und tötet diesen Geist, der in seinem Herzen wohnt und sein Streben zur Höhe behindert.<br>Zweitens wird man darauf aufmerksam machen müssen, daß Zarathustras Lachen das Gelächter _"der Höhe" ist. Die Zerstörung des Löwen befreit Zarathustra von allen bisherigen Werten und versetzt ihn in den seligen Zustand, wo alles Werden ihm wie Götter-Tanz und Götter-Mutwillen vorkommt. In dem Zustand las er das Wort _"Übermensch" auf und _"spannte über Wolken und Tag und Nacht das Lachen wie ein buntes Gezelt" (Von alten und neuen Tafeln Nr. 2 u. 3). Das ist nun nicht mehr nur ein Lachen der Zerstörung. Das ist das Lachen eines Schöpfers, der den Menschen die neuen Werte, das neue _"Gut und Böse",

We consider the Eigen model with non-Poisson distribution of mutation number. We apply the Hamilton--Jacobi equation method to solve the model and calculate the mean fitness. We find that the error threshold depends on the correlation, and the suggested mechanism may give a simple solution to the error catastrophe paradox in the origin of life.

Yasna 9 forms the main part of the text known as "Hom-Yašt" (Y9, 10, and 11, 1-12), the worship of Haoma, which must have been forbidden by Zaraθuštra himself. Outerwear colors of H&M, ZARA, and UNIQLO were objectively investigated through their official online stores for a whole year, to clarify the common and particular features in colors among fast fashion brands. This study has focused on hue distribution, annual change, the basic and accent colors. Color feature of male and female outerwear in three brands are summarized respectively, and results demonstrate that colors of male and female outerwear in each brand are mainly low-chroma and achromatic colors, meanwhile colors with high-chroma are concentrated in the area between red and yellow direction; outerwear colors of fast fashion brands are affected by seasons, generally colors seem vivid and bright in spring-summer season, dull and dark in autumn-winter season; basic colors "white, black, navy blue, brown, gray" used in traditional apparel industry are utilized in fast fashion brands as well.

Human gingival fibroblasts (HGFs) were cultured onto CAD/CAM zirconia (Group A), CAD/CAM zirconia after polishing (Group B), CAD/CAM lithium disilicate after polishing (Group C), and feldspathic ceramic (Group D) to evaluate their proliferation and adhesion potential. After 3 h, HGF adhesion was similar in all groups. Later, HGFs closely adhered to surfaces, particularly onto groups B, C and D, acquiring an elongated shape. Proliferation assay showed no differences in cell viability among the groups after 24 h, while significant increase was shown after 72 h in Groups B and C. After 24 h, similar Collagen I levels were found in all groups, while after 72 h Groups B and C revealed a deep reduction in respect to the 24 h level. <i>In vitro</i>, HGF behavior may reflect variability in soft tissue response to different surface materials for prosthetic restorations, and support that polished zirconia is able to achieve a better integration <i>in vivo</i> in respect to the other materials.
