自転車で転倒して鎖骨を骨折した患者が、救急病院で経過観察中に死亡しました。裁判所は、担当医師が必要な検査を怠ったとの鑑定意見を取り入れ、医師の注意義務違反を認定。病院に損害賠償の支払いを命じました。事件の概要 男性患者(当時72歳)は2005年4月9日、自転車で走行中に転倒し、15時10分頃被告病院に救急搬送された。

Situated to the east and the west of the Eurasian continent, the British Isles and Japan both possess cultures with root extending into the distant past. In both areas numerous genealogies have been fashioned from the seventh century, the time from which the first written materials are extant. These genealogies have played a central role in the determination of an awareness of history. This article introduces the Japanese translation of Kathleen Hughes's, The Early Celtic Idea of History and the Modern Historian: An Inaugural Lecture, (Cambridge University Press; Cambridge,1977, 24 pp.). Hughes treats the era during which Christianity, a religion that served on the basis of Celtic culture, was accepted by medieval Ireland. By examining numerous genealogies, Hughes examines the development of historiography. This report introduces Hughes's work in order foster a better understanding from a comparative perspective of the culture of genealogies and the development of historical writings in Japan.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the postural control ability using stabilogram-diffusion analysis (SDA). Any parameters of SDA were compared with several parameters of body sway derived from recordings of the center of pressure (COP) with the aid of a static force platform. The subjects were 38 elderly healthy volunteers. They quietly stood on a static force plat form with open and closing eyes. As the results, there was a significant correlation between the diffusion constant derived from the parameters of SDA and the parameters of COP with eyes open and closed. The correlation was found to be greater in the closing eye condition than that in the open eye condition. The correlations between diffusion coefficients and the range and mean of anterior-posterior velocity were greater than the correlations between the diffusion coefficients and the range and mean of the lateral velocity. Thus, the muscle of the tibialis anterior and the planter muscles was suggested.

Two weeks after the fall of Saigon, an American cargo ship on the high seas was captured by the Khmer Rouge. The Ford Administration wanted to cover the defeat in the Vietnam War, and took military action against Cambodian forces using helicopters and marines transported from Okinawa.Because of the lack of a good communication system and bad intelligence, the U.S.A. decided to bomb the Cambodian mainland and land on Tan Island, where the American sailors were believed to be. Not knowing that the sailors had been released, the American marines recaptured the ship. They were however attacked by superior Cambodian force when they landed on the small island, and fifteen marines were killed during the ensuing fourteen hour fight. Contrary to tradition, three marines who had been captured by the Cambodians and were later executed were left as missing.This paper used the records of the National Security Council, which were top secret at the time, to discover why the Ford Administration chose the military option from the start and what made the military operation difficult. Memories of the 1968 Pueblo Incident made this unnecessary military option attractive to top American decision-makers, and Secretary of State Kissiger influenced President Ford to take military action.サイゴン陥落から2週間の後、米国の貨物船がクメール・ルージュにより捕獲され、フォード政権は最初から軍事的手段を選択肢に入れていた。機密解除された国家安全保障会議の議事録からは、ベトナム戦争の苦い敗北から国民の自信を回復するためと、北朝鮮に捕獲され乗組員の釈放に苦労したプエブロ号事件という過去の経験から、カンボジアとの外交交渉などよりも軍事力の行使が選択された。しかしながら、利用できる軍事力に限りがあったこと、地理的距離と指揮命令系統の無理などから、現地の情報が入手できないままに、沖縄の海兵隊が輸送され、乗組員が捕えられていると思われた小島への上陸作戦で15名の死者を出した。この不必要だったが断固とした軍事行動は米国民から支持を得たのであった。

はじめに就職活動において就職活動支援サイトや新聞などで志望企業の情報を収集することができる.しかし職場の環境や雰囲気などを知る機会はインターンシップや説明会など情報を得られる機会が少ない.そこで友人と共通の志望企業についての情報交換をできれば有益であるが,友人と共通の志望企業があるかわからない.しかし自分の志望企業のリストをホームページ上で公開すると共通の志望企業以外もわかってしまう.そこで,本研究ではFreedmanらが提案したの手法を使い共通な志望企業のみを抽出するシステムを開発し,この性能の現実的な運用規模を実装に基づいて評価する.

配送計画問題は近年活発に研究されている問題で,経済活動のさまざまな状況でおこる.この問題には幾つかの種類があり,容量kの巡回路被覆問題,容量kの配送巡回路問題,電話予約送迎問題などがその代表例である.本稿では最も一般的な枠組での配送計画問題である容量kの配送巡回路問題の代表的なアルゴリズムを実装し,その実際的性能を評価する.さらに,複数デポーの配送計画問題に対する近似アルゴリズムを提案する.このとき従来の目的である配送に要する総距離最小という指標から少し離れ,現実的に乗組員の仕事量均等化を考慮に入れることも試みる.そして配達時間帯指定の配送計画問題にも取り組み,ベンチマークデータを用いて計算機実験を行い,提案するアルゴリズムの実際的性能評価を行う.The vehicle routing problem has received much attention in recent year and occurs in many practical settings. There are several variants of this problem: the k-tour cover problem, the k-delivery TSP and the dial-a-ride problem or stacker crane problem. In this paper, we try to evaluate the practical performances of representative algorithms for the k-delivery TSP. Furthermore, we propose approximation algorithms for the multi-depot vehicle routing problem and the vehicle routing problem with time windows and evaluate their practical performances through the computational experiments based on bench-mark data.

「治療を超えて」生物医学的テクノロジーを健常人に対して用いることで、認知能力や運動能力を向上させようとする試みは、「エンハンスメント(Enhancement)」として1990年代後半以降から社会学や生命倫理学の領域で注目を集めている。とくにスポーツの分野では、新しいトレーニング手法、エンハンスメント、ドーピング、身体改造などの境界は問題含みの混乱状況にある。本稿では、医療社会学の観点から、まず、カンギレムの『正常と病理』での議論を援用して、正常、異常、病理、アノマリーなどの諸概念を整理し、正常/異常が文化的・社会的な価値概念であることを明確化した。 次に、スポーツと身体能力のエンハンスメントに力点を置いて、エンハンスメントをめぐる生命倫理学での議論を概観した。病者への治療(トリートメント:treatment)と健常者へのエンハンスメントを対比して、前者を肯定し後者を否定して線引きする伝統的な議論では不十分であることを、具体的実例を挙げて示した。また、資質と努力の賜物としての達成(アチーブメント:achievement)とエンハンスメントを対比して、前者の徳としての重要性を指摘する議論を紹介した。加えて、本稿は、エンハンスメントの根本問題とは何かという点で、現代社会のテクノロジーによる人間的自然の支配こそが再考されなければならないという視点に立って、エンハンスメントを超える展望を提示した。
