Previous studies of motivation have assumed that in general, success breeds positive feelings and motivation while failure generates negative feelings and dampens motivation. However, a closer look at comments made by athletes in interviews reveals that in many cases, regret about losing a game can actually transform itself into a strong desire to win the next competition. In order to promote an academic study of the link between the feeling of not wanting to lose and motivation, this paper summarized the presentations and discussions that got underway at the Round Table Discussion, which was organized as part of the 2013 Japan Annual Congress of Sport Psychology. The authors described actual conditions and research perspectives of the "hating to lose" mentality based on the results of questionnaires, the expertise of elite athletes, and mental training for athletes". It is hoped that the Round Table Discussion will generate further research in this area.

以上,焼畑農業についての最近の研究の動向とその問題点にふれ,あわせて焼畑の比較地理学への若干の展望を行ってきたが,最近の焼畑農業研究には,大別して二つの方向がみとめられる。その第1はmicro-scopic studyとでもいうべきもので,community或はfamilyのレベルで焼畑農業の経営形態を捉え,その特色を詳しく調査・研究するとともに,その地域の自然条件や文化や社会の構造と焼畑農業組織との関連を精細に追究する方向である。この場合にはとくに,作物栽培技術や輪作形態が詳しく分析され,焼畑の生産性や人口支持力の問題、或は焼畑農業とその社会の変容過程が興味ある問題としてとりあげられている。他方,第2の研究方向は,macro-scopicなもので,焼畑農業の比較研究をめざすものである。ここでは焼畑農業の地域的特色の類型的把握が問題になり,その歴史的・文化生態学的特徴の解明が重要な研究課題になっている。そうして,この場合には,《根栽型焼畑農業》と《雑穀栽培型焼畑農業》の二つの大類型の設定とその特徴の把握が,比較研究上のきわめて有効なメルクマールになるのではないかと考えられるのである。

3つの研究チームを設け、第1に「子の養育保障システム」として、①離婚後の親権・監護権の共同化、②面会交流の継続的実施を保障する仕組み、③養育費の分担と履行確保の仕組みを取り上げ、第2に「子の意思反映システム」として、④子の意見表明の保障、⑤子への情報提供、⑥子どもの手続代理人の活用を取り上げ、第3に「合意解決促進システム」として、⑦協議離婚、家事調停各段階の合意解決の促進、⑧DV事案への対応、⑨国際離婚とハーグ条約への対応を取り上げ、実務や隣接諸科学等からの検証を受け、現実的な「親の別居・親の離婚における子どもの権利保障システム」を構築する。

This paper discusses the demonstration of a stable levitation (SL) system for a magnetic levitation type seismic isolation device using a high-temperature superconducting (HTS) bulk. The SL system utilizes a restoring force between an HTS bulk and permanent magnet (PM) to maintain the stable levitation of a base-isolation object. We first measured the restoring force between the HTS bulk and PM, and then demonstrated the performance of the SL system using a magnetic levitation type seismic isolation model device with a radial arrangement of HTS bulks and a PM rail. The SL system with the HTS bulk can reduce small vibration and displacement during the normal period of operation without experiencing a large disturbance. We also demonstrated that, when a large disturbance was applied, the transmission of horizontal vibration to the base-isolation object via the SL system was eliminated by decoupling the magnetic coupling between the HTS bulk and PM. Furthermore, the vibration transmissibility at any vibration frequency to the base-isolation object was reduced by incorporating an HTS bulk damper and eddy current damper in the model device. These results suggest that a SL system used together with an HTS bulk can realize both the stable levitation of a base-isolation object during the normal period of operation as well as the elimination of the horizontal vibration transmission when a large vibration is applied.

<p> 1960年頃まで、山村ではまつたけが身近な食材であったことが既往研究で指摘されている。本研究の目的はまつたけ高級化の過程を戦後の料理書から明らかにすることである。研究方法は文献調査とまつたけ採取者へのヒアリングによった。第1に、1960年代までまつたけは都市の人々にとって身近な食材であった。1958~2019年の『きょうの料理』から抽出したまつたけレシピの分析(N=149)では、1960年代以前と比較して1970年代になるとレシピ数は減少し、レシピの内容は単純化した。1960年代までは節約料理や洋風料理・中華料理にまつたけが用いられていた。一方、1946~1974年に連載された『サザエさん』では、6,761話中14話にまつたけが登場し、初登場は1951年9月であった。同書では1951年から高級品として扱われていた。両者でまつたけ高級化の年代が異なる要因は、まつたけの出荷時期によって、産地や価格の大幅な変動があったことによる。岩手県内のまつたけ採取者3名に対するヒアリングから、高級化の時期に地域差があり、採取者にはまつたけの採取・贈与・共食・環境整備の楽しみが存在した。</p>

Kyphosis causes decline in respiratory and circulatory functions owing to compresses of internal organs. The purpose of this study is to develop a posture keep assist device. The device is constructed with multiple resin components and McKibben type artificial rubber muscle. This device at initial state has a flexibility because the resin components are separated. On the other hand, the resin component can be connected by pressurized artificial muscle. The shape of device in which all resin components are connected imitates spine-curve to fit human back. So, the proposed device can retain entire range of trunk. Target pressure to correct posture is determined from the mathematical model of artificial muscle. In this paper, the structure of device is described, and control method to retain posture based on artificial muscle model is discussed. Finally, effectiveness of the device is verified from experiments in which subject wears this device actually. We reveal correcting trunk posture by using the device from the results.

In Japan, sexual minorities are discriminated against both socially and legally. In order to confront this situation, this study will explore the possibility of the use of anti-discrimination laws from the viewpoint of sexual minorities. For this purpose, I will deal with the present situation of sexual minorities in Japan, the Japanese Constitution, and the anti-discrimination laws in England and Wales. Finally, this study will discuss how anti-discrimination laws should be designed giving consideration to sexual minorities. In this part(1), the present situation in Japan will be clarified. In addition, the Japanese Constitution will be interpreted both in this part and the next.

異常脳波の判定基準を作るために, 64頭のビーグル犬について, 年齢および意識水準の変化に対応する正常脳波の変化を調べた。鼻部に基準電極をおいた単極誘導法 (左前頭部-鼻部, 右前頭部-鼻部, 左後頭部-鼻部, 右後頭部-鼻部) と双極誘導法 (左前頭部-右前頭部, 左後頭部-右後頭部, 左前頭部-左後頭部, 右前頭部-右後頭部) の8誘導を同時記録した。生後1日にときおり出現した律動波はその後頻度を増し, 1週齢には常にみられた。2週齢では, 覚醒期と睡眠期との判別が脳波上で可能となった。5週齢では, 覚醒期, 軽睡眠期, 中等度睡眠期, および深睡眠期の区別が可能となった。これは, 脱同期, 8-13 Hzの律動波, 痛波, 初期紡錘波, および3 Hz以下の徐波などが5週齢から出現したためであった。これらの波の振幅ほ次第に増し, 10-12週齢で最大となり, その後は次第に減少した。覚醒期~深睡眠期の脳波の週齢変化から, 脳波が成犬型になる時期は, 20-30週齢であることが明らかとなった。

国際線運航乗務員の年齢構成,乗務編成,睡眠-覚醒パターンを模擬して,調査対象者X(男性,36歳)とY(男性,47歳)の2名が,睡眠脳波,直腸温,パフォーマンスを測定する予備調査を行った。乗務条件は,往復夜間乗務でシングル編成のデリー便および,往路昼間乗務,復路夜間乗務でマルチプル編成のムンバイ便であった。両便の往路乗務直後の睡眠は,睡眠間隔が通常より長いにも係らず短縮した。復路乗務前に現地の昼間時刻帯にとる予防的仮眠は,勤務開始時刻に制限されて出発時刻の早いムンバイ便でより短縮した。これらの睡眠の劣化は,若年者であるXより熟年者であるYで大きかった。また昼間乗務より夜間乗務,また往路乗務より復路乗務の反応時間の劣化が著しく,その対策として現地の昼間にとる補償的仮眠と,とりわけ熟年者には夜間乗務中の仮眠が重要と結論付け,調査方法を再検討して本調査に資することにした。(図4,表4,写真2)

Japan faces issues associated with a super-aging society. Thus, extension of healthy life expectancy of patients through dietary modification is extremely important. However, the number of registered dietitians is not enough to improve the nutritional health of patients with personalized nutrition care because of the lack of profit from hospital nutrition divisions. We clarified the strategies to gain profit and relevant challenges by using the SWOT analysis to improve the dietary department of hospital subject to intervention. Data gathered indicate that the charge for subsidies for providing therapeutic diet, and nutrition and meal counseling should be increased. The results indicated that the cost of subsidies for providing therapeutic diet and nutrition and meal counseling should be increased. The results also suggested the necessity of reducing tasks with opportunity losses. A hospital with the system newly established has already realized the benefits of the measures implemented through the system. The system supports patients to take in the appropriate nutrients by increasing the number of registered dieticians and calculating the estimated energy requirement from the actual measurements of resting energy expenditure for personalized nutrition care.

旧制下での林学に関する高等教育は、農学部を設置する帝国大学及び高等農林学校が担っており、これらの高等教育機関では学生・生徒の実習を目的として演習林を設置していた。そして、卒業生の多くは、専門知識を活かして森林行政や林産業に従事した。本研究では、1880~1940年代における林学に関する高等教育の実態を明らかにするため、各高等教育機関のカリキュラムや演習林を利用した実習の内容に関する調査を行う。また、在学中の教育が卒業後の職業生活にどのような影響を与えたのか明らかにするため、学生・生徒が卒業後に従事した職務等を調査する。以上の調査に基づき、林業における教育と産業の連関を考察する。
