A numerical model (individual-based model) to describe ecosystem dynamics is proposed. The ecosystem is partitioned into the same time and space scale levels and the partitions at different levels are connected through transfer of mass. The partitioned system is expressed as aggregates of three-dimensional cells. Within the cells, nutrient intake, excretion, growth, reproduction, death, and movement of individual organisms are executed in accordance with the model rules. The mass transfer due to metabolic processes of organisms, including energy dissipation (efficiency) is described by difference equations. Movement to neighboring cells occurs through diffusion for substances, and through expansion of habitat range and migration in organisms. This individual-based model was applied to an experimental microecosystem (microcosm) derived from an aquatic ecosystem. This model was demonstrated to be applicable to descriptions from the micro behavior of individuals to macro system formation.

時間に関する哲学的議論の一つの大きな焦点は, 果たして時間に関する「事実」がテンスを含んでいるのか, 含んでいないのかという問題にある。(これはマクタガートが時間の非実在性を証明する上で用いたA系列の時間とB系列の時間の区分注1において, いずれが時間にとってより本質的であるか, と問うことに相当する。) この問題についてA.N.プライアはかつて, 以下に述べるような, テンス論を擁護するある有名な主張を述べた。その後, この主張をめぐってテンス論者, 非テンス論者の間で賛否の議論が展開されたが, これまでの議論を見る限りでは, テンス論者の提示した擁護論にはどれも非テンス論者の議論を退けるほど強力なものはなく, 非テンス論者の議論によってほぼプライアの示した問題には決着がつけられたような感がある。この非テンス論の核になる議論は, D.H.メラーが後にM.マクベスの批判を受けて修正を加えた議論である。本稿では, いかにも決定的解答を与えたかのように見えるこのメラーの議論の中で見落とされていると思われる点を明らかにし, この議論によっては非テンス論者は, いまだプライアの問題への十分な解答を与えることができないことを示し出したいと思う。

Scientific methodologies in 17-18th centuries are very important when we think of the relation of philosophy and science in this period. Particularly interesting among them is that of Leibniz's philosophy. His method of finding laws of natural sciences was a so-called hypotheticodeductive method. What is quite remarkable in his methodology is that he not only shows empirically valid criteria for finding laws, in spite of his extreme rationalistic tendencies on one hand, but also delves into the grounds for the hypothetico-deductive method in terms of God's perfection. In this latter point, we can recognize one of the proper roles of philosophy, very clearly distinguished from but united very organistically with those of science.

中国海南島の北部にゴムの木のプランテーションが展開されている農場(林段)があるが,そこで1986年4月から1989年3月までの3年間に観測されたデータを基に,微気象特性を調べた。粗度,地面修正量,ゴム林のキャノピーを通過する放射透過率など空気力学的パラメーターは,落葉前後で明らかに異なる。キャノピー上の短波放射のアルベードは,冬季には10%であるが,夏季と秋季には16%になる。落葉後,キャノピー上の顕熱フラックスが増加すると,潜熱フラヅクスは急激に減少する。林床上における顕熱フラックスは1日を通して非常に小さい。また,夜間には,負の正味放射による熱の損失があるが,それは地熱フラックスにより補償されることなどが明らかとなった。

【目的】サルコペニア防止のための基礎的研究としてL-カルニチン(以下、LCARと略)と分岐鎖アミノ酸(branched chain amino acids;以下、BCAAと略)を投与後に運動負荷を行い、エネルギー基質代謝、身体組成、運動後の筋肉痛に対する効果を検討した。【方法】若年健常女性12名を対象に、LCAR+BCAA投与群(n=6)と非投与群(対照群、n=6)の無作為に2群に分け、運動負荷(VO2 max 50 %、60分)前後における血清エネルギー基質濃度、身体組成、筋肉痛の程度を検討した。運動負荷前にLCAR1000 mg/dayを14日間経口投与、運動負荷2時間前にBCAA7.2 gを経口投与した。【結果】LCAR+BCAA投与群の血清遊離・アシル・総LCAR値は対照群に比較して差を認めずBCAA投与後の運動負荷前後におけるLCAR+BCAA投与群の血清BCAA値は対照群に比較し有意に高値であった(P<0.0001)が、遊離脂肪酸値は低下した。運動負荷後の体組成は両群間に差を認めなかったが、LCAR+BCAA投与群の運動負荷24、48、72時間後の筋肉痛は有意差を認めなかった。【結語】運動負荷前のLCAR+BCAA投与は運動負荷後の体組成や筋肉痛には差を認めなかったが運動後の脂肪分解亢進を減弱する可能性が示された。

Most of the cells of Clostridium botulinum type A strain 190 harvested at logarithmic growth phase in GYPT medium were converted autolytically to spheroplasts in 0.5M sucrose-phosphate buffer within 2-3 hours at 37°C. Electron microscopic observations on the formation of spheroplasts demonstrated that the cytoplasmic contents were extruded through partly dissolved walls at the end of the organism and formed spherical bodies.Crude wall fraction, isolated from logarithmic phase cultures by sonication and fraction-ation, rapidly autolysed in phosphate buffer. The wall fraction isolated from the large colony type of the strain lysed more rapidly than those from the small one as reported on the whole cells. Reducing sugars and amino sugars being main constituents of the wall were released from the wall fraction as wall-autolysis occurred. Electron micorscopic study showed that the rigid structure of the wall was completely lost and only fragile membranous or amorphous components remained as residues. Heated wall preparations digested with trypsin and nagarse were dissolved by a soluble wall-autolysate, but not by a soluble cytoplasmic fraction. It seems likely that autolytic enzyme system may exist at or near the cell wall.

安全性審査済み遺伝子組換え(GM)トウモロコシおよびダイズの粉砕試料中の混入率を,重量混合比として算出するためには,内標比が必要である.内標比は,GMダイズに関しては,リアルタイムPCR新機種QuantStudio5, QuantStudio12K Flex, LightCycler 96およびLightCycler 480において,組換え配列と内在性配列のコピー数比を基に既に測定されているが,GMトウモロコシに関しては未対応であった.本研究では,GMトウモロコシのスクリーニング検査法の対象であるカリフラワーモザイクウイルス35Sプロモーター,GA21構造特異的領域,MIR604系統特異的領域,MIR162系統特異的領域において,上記リアルタイムPCR4機種を用いて内標比を算出した.

The very interesting point is how Japanese were described in Chinese material and drawn in pictorial material. Waren (Japanese) in Zhigong Tu is said to be the oldest portrait of Japanese, but I would like to observe both literal and pictorial material focusing on the figure of members of kentôshi.It is well known in Japan that they had to be intellectual and handsome in order to become members of kentôshi. What kind of impression did they give to Chinese?First I would like to examine the member's image that Chinese had referring to description written in material about Awata no Mahito as handsome with dignity, Abe no Nakamaro as breathtaking handsome and Sakaibe no Okita as tall without much of hair. The meaning of "shintokukan (jindeguan)" that Awata no Mahito wore, the origin of the phrase of "breathtaking handsome" and the background of the phrase of "tall without much of hair" are especially considered.Secondary, I would like to take a look at Liben-tu in the tomb of Zhanghuai-Taizi, The Portrait of Jishi Zhangdan in Tokyo National Museum, Minghuang Huiqi-tu and the like. There are two theories; one is that the member on a mission drawn in Liben-tu is a man of Gaojuli. The other one is that he is a Japanese. I will guess which one referring to the literal material and presume the Japanese in The Portrait of Kishi-no Nagani drawn by Tang royal painters. A monk playing a game of go with Emperor Xuanzong in Minghuang Huiqi-tu should be examined with a Japanese monk, Benshô.Based on the literal and pictorial material listed above, I would like to consider the diplomatic significance that the figure of members to Tang gave in the ancient eastern Asia and emphasize the historical facts of the pictorial material.

首都圏の都市鉄道で遅延が慢性化しており,利用者が自身の行動を決めるうえで遅延時の情報提供サービスが重要なものとなっている.利用者の情報利用選好を明らかにすることは,今後情報提供サービスの効果を定量化していくうえでも重要であるといえる.そこで本研究では,鉄道遅延時における利用者の情報収集実態および利用選好を明らかにすることを目的とする.本研究では,朝通勤時の鉄道遅延についての仮想状況を設定し,各状況下でどのような行動をとりうるのかSP調査をおこなった.その結果,「運転見合わせ」や「人身事故」といった遅延原因,運行状況の情報を認知することが経路変更に大きな影響を与えることが明らかになり,遅延情報を早い段階で的確に認知できる施策を行っていくことが重要であるという示唆が得られた.

The word guomin in Chinese or kokumin in Japanese, which translates into Englishas either “nation” or “people”, is not a term of modern coinage; it has been used sinceantiquity in both China and Japan. The promoting of the modern nation and its people is closely related to success or failure in the formation of the nation-state. Because of this, in both China and Japan, it has been said that the establishment of the concept of the “nation/people” (guomin, kokumin) is a crucial part of this modernization process. A look at the changing terminology for the constituent members of the state should be useful in clarifying what is subsumed under the concept of guomin/kokumin, as well as aiding towards a deeper awareness of the value judgments and interaction with foreign cultures that were involved in fostering the modern nation and its people. This paper offers a modest analysis of the changes in value judgments and personal perspectives thattook place in both China and Japan during the progress of modernization, both from theperspective of how the concept of the modern nation and its people was established, andby reference to the discourse of intellectuals regarding the constituent members of the state.

本稿の目的は,中国の「影の銀行」と一般的な意味でのシャドー・バンキングとの違いについて検討し,この問題における中国の構造的特質を探り出すことである。近年,金融抑圧が長期にわたって続いてきた中国では,銀行のユニバーサルバンク化改革が行われ,金融機関は業種別金融規制制度の欠陥を利用し,利潤を追求している。その結果,銀行理財商品や銀行と信託会社の「協力」による資金プール,企業間における委託貸付け,手形割引制度の悪用による資金調達,インターバンク市場を利用した資金調達といった金融手段が急増し,中国のシャドー・バンキング・システムが形成された。このことから明らかなように,中国のシャドー・バンキング・システムは,金融機関による金融自由化の立ち遅れに起因する金融業余剰利潤の囲い込みにほかならない。これは単なる金融的事象ではなく,地方財政が長期的に疲弊化しているにもかかわらず,経済成長至上主義の下で資金需要が膨張した状況での財政事象でもある。以上から,中国のシャドー・バンキングは中国国内における独特の経済・政治的要因によって形成されたものであり,資本取引がまだ自由化されていない現状において,その崩壊による日本経済への影響は限定的と予測される。
