Work engagement was recently introduced as a positive concept contradictory to burnout. Nurses who are actively engaged in their work are considered to be full of vitality, feel confident in their duties, and are able to cope well with the demands of work. This study aimed to elucidate the present situation of work engagement in hospitals for community-based care (Hs-C-BC). The Japanese version of the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) was administered to nurses in 137 facilities in four prefectures in the Tokai region using. The valid response rate was 41.6% (N = 570). In an exploratory factor analysis, no items had factor loadings below 0.40 and all question items converged on the first factor. Regarding item-total correlation, all question items were correlated with each other. Ceiling and floor effects were not exhibited. Therefore, the UWES was judged to be usable in Hs-C-BC. The UWES revealed that family support, continuous learning, and duty position were important for nurses, in addition to support systems and human relationships in Hs-C-BC. Through continuous learning and being supported by their families and friends, nurses can be positively engaged in their work based on their duty positions.

タスマン海南部で漁獲されたネズミザメ属12個体をプロポーション計測値, 歯の構造および配列, 体色にもとづいて調査した結果, 標本はL.nasusと同定した.またオーストラリア産L.whitleyiの分類学的位置を検討した結果, 本種はおそらくL.nasusと同一であるとみなした.

Patients with minimal change nephrotic syndrome (MCNS) are prone to loss of motor skills due to urinary protein leakage, steroid myopathy, and other factors. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common complication that contributes to the loss of physical function. Rehabilitation is crucial, but its efficacy and safety are unknown. Here we present a case of a patient with MCNS complicated by AKI, who commenced rehabilitation after dialysis was discontinued and experienced improved mobility. The patient, a woman in her 70s, was admitted to our hospital with bilateral lower limb edema and decreased urine output for approximately 5 days. Treatment with prednisolone and furosemide was initiated, but then dialysis was initiated due to AKI. Rehabilitation was started after dialysis was discontinued. The patient’s muscle strength and physical activity improved, and her exercise capacity and exercise tolerance improved without adverse effects. Rehabilitation may contribute to the improvement of exercise capacity without worsening renal function and urinary protein in patients with MCNS complicated by AKI.

Shimizu, Nakashima, and Morinaga (2016) reported that tendencies consistent with defensive pessimism (DP) are positively associated with considerate and respectful behavioral intentions toward strangers. However, two limitations hinder the generalizability of their findings: (1) their participants were exclusively female students of a women’s junior college, and (2) the cognitive strategy scale used in their study did not take all four types of cognitive strategy; i.e., DP, strategic optimism (SO), realistic pessimism (RP), and unjustified optimism (UO), into consideration. We replicated Shimizu et al. (2016) with adult respondents and used a different scale to enhance the generalizability of the results. Japanese adults (N=337) participated in an online survey. Path analysis of their responses indicated that a relationship exists between DP and behavioral intentions, which was consistent with the findings reported by Shimizu et al. (2016). The study also produced exploratory evidence that individuals that exhibit UO show less considerate and respectful behavioral intentions in interpersonal contexts than those who display SO or RP.

The object of this paper is to describe the life-history of the Syudan-syusyoku generation who lived and worked in Tokyo. In order to accomplish this purpose, we had the intensive interviews with them. Subsequently we discovered the following. In nineteen fifties or sixties, the many adolescent have been to the big cities after graduated at the junior high school. They have formed the group and rode in the job train for Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya (Syudan-syusyoku). They were apprenticed to the shops and factories. They have lived in the dormitories and have been working hard all day within the apprenticeship period. Because of a poor wage and few vacations, many workers quitted immediately. After acquired skills a few own shops and run factories now. Because of serving strict masters and taking good fortunes they are working as the top management of shops and factories. In nowadays they are the winners of the Syudan-syusyoku generation. Therefore we could trace the success story of the Syudan-syusyoku generation.

合成開口レーダ(SAR)は高解像度で海面粗度を画像化するセンサであり,沿岸域の海上風,波浪,潮目等を高解像度 で検出可能である.本報告ではそれらのパラメータの検出メカニズムおよび,沿岸域への応用事例について紹介する.

謙遜についての比較文化的研究を行い、21カ国の国民を対象にした調査及び実験的な研究により、謙遜が文化に共通した価値であることを確認した。より具体的には、謙遜の目的が低い自己評価の提示ではなく、謙虚であることを示すことにあることが、確認された。さらに、一方では、実験研究により、謙遜の程度や仕方には、文化差があることを示す結果が得られた。同じように謙遜しているといっても、文化により、その謙遜が意味する自己卑下の程度が異なっていることがわかった。

本研究では,戸建て住宅に設置されている浄化槽3基を対象に,浄化槽から排出される温室効果ガスCH4,N2O排出量を1年以上にわたり調査し,季節影響を踏まえた排出特性の解析を行った.その結果,CH4は,約90%が嫌気処理部から排出されており,N2Oは,約80%が好気処理部から排出されている事が確認された.CH4排出量は嫌気処理部に流入するDO量が低くなる際に増大する傾向となった.これは嫌気処理部底部の嫌気化が進むことでCH4生成量が増大するためであると考えられた.一方,N2O排出量は水温上昇期において,槽内のBODとNH4-Nが同時に高くなる際に増大する傾向となった.これは,浄化槽内に貯留する汚泥が可溶化しBODとNH4-Nが溶出することにより,好気処理部における硝化反応(亜硝酸酸化)が速やかに進行しなくなるためであると考えられた.

軍事用語としての支援は,さまざまな場合に用いられる.軍の部隊は,直接戦闘部隊と支援部隊にわけられ,しだいに支援部隊の比重がたかまっている.西側諸国の軍隊は支援重視型の軍隊ということができ,ロシアの軍隊は中央統制型の軍隊であるといえる.この違いは,政府または支配者が自国の軍隊を信用できるかどうかによると思われる.次に支援―被支援関係が成り立つためには,相手を信用できることが必要であり,相手を信用できなければ,相手の自由を制限し,自立性を低くする統制,服従になる.これは,支援を考察する際の重要な点であると思われる.

インドネシアの住民組織RT・RWは1966年にジャカルタで初めて法制化され、次いで1983年にはインドネシア全土でも両組織が一律に設置される法制が発令されている。本稿では、これらの住民組織の淵源とされる日本占領期の隣組・字常会のあり様について当時発行されていた新聞・雑誌記事を主たる資料として考察することを目的としている。近年、フィリピンのパランガイをはじめとするアジア諸国の住民組織の研究報告がされてきているが、その中でもインドネシアのRT・RWについては全体的な理解が最も進んで、いない。本稿では、これらを踏まえ、RT・RWの淵源とされる隣組・字常会について検討し、日本占領期のジャワと日本の隣組制度との類似性、隣組制度の包括的機能、隣組制度導入の背景及びジャワ社会への影響、独立後にもジャワにおける隣組組織が存続していた事実などが明らかにされる。
