This study focused on social anxiety and examined the effects of approval motivation (including praise-seeking needs and rejection-avoidance needs) and fear of evaluation (including fears of positive and negative evaluations) on social anxiety (social interaction anxiety and the deficit of self-efficacy in interactive social situations). A survey was conducted among university students. The results indicated that positive regressions from fears of positive and negative evaluations to social interaction anxiety were significant. Moreover, positive regressions from rejection-avoidance needs to fear of positive evaluation, fear of negative evaluation, and social interaction anxiety were also significant, whereas negative regressions from praise-seeking needs to fear of positive evaluation, and social interaction anxiety were significant. In addition, negative regressions from praise-seeking needs to the deficit of self-efficacy in interactive social situations were significant. These results indicate that (1) praise-seeking needs, which are a part of approval motivation, decreased social anxiety and fear of positive evaluation, and (2) praise-seeking needs were related to self-efficacy in interactive social situations.

To realize connected and/or self-driving vehicles for a mobility environment, it requires an authentication mechanism to prevent spoofing of on-board units of the vehicle and a mechanism to prevent eavesdropping and tampering of communication data between an on-board unit and servers in the cloud. Considering the huge number of vehicles in the system, an authentication method is required to mitigate the complexity of operation and management for the number of vehicles. In this paper, we propose a data utilization system that securely stores in-vehicle LAN data, which consist of control data flowing inside a vehicle, in the cloud in real time, and provides this information securely to third parties such as vehicle users, car dealers, and non-life insurance companies. The system uses ID-based cryptography as a mutual authentication method between on-board units and the data collection servers, and uses a key generated from the ID of an on-board unit to ease the key management. We integrate the management information of the vehicle and the authentication key of the vehicle in the system, and thus reduces the complexity of the operation and the key management.

本研究は, 失敗に対する捉え方や価値観を意味する失敗観尺度を作成し, その信頼性と妥当性の検討を行った。研究1では, 自由記述の回答からKJ法を用いて失敗観の構造を明らかにし, それと関連する先行研究を基に尺度の原案を作成した。そして, 大学生246名を対象に調査を実施し, 失敗観はネガティブ感情価, 学習可能性, 回避欲求, 発生可能性の4因子で構成されていることを見出した。研究2では, 759名の大学生を対象に調査を実施し, 尺度の内的整合性と時間的安定性を含めた信頼性, そして関連する尺度との関係性から妥当性を確認した。最後に, 研究3では, 大学生187名を対象に場面想定法による調査を実施したところ, どのような失敗観を持つかによって, 失敗に対する原因帰属やその後の対処行動が規定されることが示唆された。

This article explains how LDP had developed post-war medical policy. Having very strong political ties with Japan Medical Association, LDP had supported JMA's claims for higher payment of social health care insurance. Business leaders and mayors as well as workers were all against high payment, but JMA doctors were strongly united and available to simultaneously refuse social insurance contract. Since no health care system would be possible without contracted doctors, LDP was afraid enough for big compromises with them. JMA seemed a successful political giant as a pressure group for medical industry.   On the other hand, new medical schools graduated 4000 more doctors every year since early 1970s. The expansion against JMA's favor was eagerly supported by local politicians and LDP pursued the programs for more rural doctors. Number of doctors increased rapidly and this was the beginning of the end of JMA era.   Structural changes inside medical environment happened to make hospitals more focused. Being grown surgical needs and chronic invalids, majority of medical expense went to hospitals. More doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals worked in hospitals. Thus interests within medical industry became greatly diffuse and JMA was no longer an exclusive representative of the business.   Politics of the medicals was the politics of medical economy for long time and JMA won games against cost bearers and Ministry of Welfare. The policy, however, also had another important element: public control over medical supply such as beds, professionals, and networks. MOW failed to establish authorities on such control so that this constraint limited following attempts for systematic medical service.

Background: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is considered an early sign of cardiac amyloidosis (CA) because amyloid deposition is often confirmed in the tenosynovium removed during carpal tunnel release (CTR); however, the prevalence of concomitant CA is unclear.Methods and Results: We prospectively examined 700 patients who underwent CTR and evaluated amyloid deposition after tenosynovium removal. Amyloid deposition was observed in 261 (37%) patients, who were significantly older and predominantly male (P<0.05). Of them, 120 agreed to cardiac screening. We performed 99 mTc-labeled pyrophosphate (99 mTc-PYP) scintigraphy in 12 patients who met either of the following criteria: (1) interventricular septal diameter (IVSd) ≥14 mm or (2) 12 mm ≤ IVSd < 14 mm with above-normal limits in high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT). Six patients (50%) had positive findings on 99 mTc-PYP scintigraphy and were diagnosed with wild-type transthyretin CA. Concomitant CA was observed in 6/120 (5%) CTR patients with amyloid deposition and 50% (6/12) in patients with left ventricular hypertrophy (≥12 mm) with increased hs-cTnT levels.Conclusions: Amyloid deposition was frequently observed in the removed tenosynovium of elderly men with CTS. Cardiac screening may be useful for early diagnosis of CA in patients undergoing CTR with amyloid deposition.

この論文では,日本語の「指定文」および「カキ料理構文」と呼ばれている構文について,特定の構造を持つ名詞句を中核として,その構造と派生を示す。本論文の分析では「中核名詞句」は2つの項をとり,外項が主要部名詞の意味範囲を限定(delimit)し,内項がその意味内容を「過不足なく指定する」(exhaustively specify)という関係を持つ。「中核名詞句」の内項が焦点化されることで「指定文」が,その指定部を占める外項が主題化されることで「カキ料理構文」が派生される。焦点化された要素が変項を含む構成素の意味を「過不足なく指定する」という関係が「指定文」の根幹をなすものだが,これは疑問文とその答えの間に求められる関係に由来するものである。「中核名詞句」の内部での項のc統御関係が,対応する「指定文」に「連結性」によって反映され,「自分」の逆行束縛と見える現象などが説明されるる。「XをYに…する」という付帯状況を表す副詞節も「中核名詞句」から派生する分析を提案している。

東京電力福島第一原子力発電所(沸騰水型軽水炉,BWR)の事故は,東日本大震災による巨大津波という共通原因によって,最終的な熱の逃がし場(ヒートシンク)と安全設備を支える電源系が広範に機能を喪失したこと(クリフエッジ効果)が直接の原因であった。加圧水型軽水炉(PWR)プラントは,蒸気発生器(SG)によって主蒸気系を原子炉冷却系から隔離しているため,同様の津波に襲われて電源を喪失したとしても,放射性物質を含まない蒸気を大気放出することで最終ヒートシンクを確保でき,自然循環によって原子炉を冷却できるという優れた耐性を有する。更に,今回の事故の教訓を反映し,電気設備等の水密化,非常用発電機の高台設置等の津波対策を進めており,格納容器による深層防護の強化も計画している。今後も,世界最高水準に安全性を高めたPWR技術によって低炭素エネルギー源の確保に貢献していく所存である。

透明骨格標本の作製では,骨格染色後に筋肉を透明化するため,微細な骨やそれらの立体配置は適切に保存される。特に小型魚は全身の骨格を観察が可能なので,骨の役割を学習するのに適している。現在,理科教材会社より透明骨格標本や標本作製キットを入手することが可能であり,授業での活用も広がっていることが伺える。しかし,透明骨格標本は高価であり生徒一人一人が観察をする分を準備することは難しい。標本の透明化にはタンパク質や脂質除去が重要である。本論では,食器用洗剤への長時間浸漬による透明化を試み,脊椎骨の観察が可能なレベルまで透明化するものを見出したのでこれを報告する。また,本実践では,生徒ごとに異なる実験条件に取り組ませ,その結果を互いに評価しあい,考察をさせた。この実践プロセスから,多数の仮説設定を生徒あるいはグループごとに分担させ,それを持ち寄って結論を導くという協働型探究学習を提案する。

To prevent various lifestyle-caused diseases, mental health care in daily life is one of the most important issues in recent years. This paper proposes quantitative analysis method of mental stress using heart rate variability (HRV). Concretely speaking, we proposed the geometric figure analytical method of HRV in consideration for respiration sinus arrhythmia (RSA). Then mental stress is quantitative evaluated by analyzing the characteristic of its plots. Experiments were repeated 51 times on 3 healthy male volunteers. The proposed method was confirmed efficiently, because of the measurement time is about half and the measurement dispersion is decreased in comparison with the conventional analysis methods.
