縦書き・横書きの表記形式の単語、シンボル、ラインを中心視野に提示し、視覚誘発脳磁場の比較を行った。全頭および左右側頭部の被験者全員分のRMS (Root Mean Square) を算出し、およそ5ms毎に縦・横×刺激の種類(2×3)の分散分析を行い、条件ごとの反応に有意差がみられるかを検討した。単語の処理においてのみ出現する反応として、(1)180-200ms、(2)250msあたり、(3)370msあたりをピークとする三つの成分(N180、RP、P300)が共通して確認された。どの成分においても単語刺激では縦書きの反応が横書きよりも一貫して強く、縦書き文字の処理は横書きに比べ何かしらの高度あるいは困難な過程が含まれることが示唆された。縦書き・横書き文字の脳内の認知処理における本質的な違いが示唆され、これまでの研究で議論されてきたような読みにおける縦書きの効率の悪さは、サッケードや眼球運動によってのみ起因するものではない可能性が示された。

長崎諏訪神社に伝来する謡曲「諏訪」の諸本を検討し、本文と構成、作者と成立時期、および本曲の主題と時代的背景を考察する。「諏訪」の本文を翻刻紹介し注釈を行う。また作者を能役者早水治部と伝承する根拠を掲げ、あわせて諏訪神社の能楽上演の歴史的記録を付す。

The purpose of this study is to analyze and clarify the independence consciousness of female university students of China applying psychological research methods. In the course of the study a questionnaire research was conducted on eighty three Chinese female university students with regard to the scales of Cinderella complex and the social role attitudes. Firstly the results indicate positive correlations between the independent variable of "defend-family-traditionalism factor" with three factors of dependency, lack of confidence and responsibilities evasion, a particularly strong correlation being found with the dependency factor. Secondly Chinese female students who are the single child of their families showed stronger dependency on their families than those who are not. Finally the number of students who do not choose to find an employment immediately after the graduation is increasing, which shows a correlation with the lack of confidence factor. The findings appear to suggest that as a result of rapid changes in the social environment and public principles Chinese female university students, who have been regarded as having a high level of independence, are beginning to show multi facets hat cannot be thoroughly comprehended by the traditional framework of consciousness.

安徳天皇が女性ではなかったか、という噂は、江戸時代の随筆などではかなり見受けることができ、安徳が実は壇ノ浦では死なず、薩摩や摂津の山中などへ逃げ延びたという伝説とともに、人口に膾炙していたようである。その理由として、『平家物語』「公卿揃」で、安徳生誕の折り、甑を間違って落としてしまった、という逸話が挙げられることが多い。たしかに安徳は、建礼門院のいわゆる「地獄めぐり」で、法華経による救済を望んでいたし、『愚管抄』では女神である厳島明神の化身だとされていた。これらの例を見ると、史実はともかく、海の底へ「帰っていった」安徳が童子であったがゆえに八歳で成道した海龍王の娘と重ね合わされていたことは明らかであろう。

録音を黙って鑑賞する喫茶店(レコード喫茶と仮に呼ぶ)は日本独自の音楽空間といえる。本論はそのひとつであるジャズ喫茶が昭和初年に生まれ、昭和十年代にスウィングの流行とともに定着した過程を追う。レコード喫茶は録音に依存して欧米音楽を受容せざるを得なかった日本の状況と深く関わっている。録音は大正時代、「缶詰音楽」と軽蔑されるどころか、コンサート興行の基盤が未熟であるために生で演奏を聴けない曲種を知るのに不可欠なテクノロジーとして洋楽評論家に高く評価された。レコード鑑賞空間はそのような前提から生まれた。震災後、カフェが女給のエロティシズムを売り物にしたのに対して、その姉妹施設、喫茶店は主に大学生や若い社会人相手にもっと親密な雰囲気、趣味的なサービスを売り物にした。レコード喫茶は彼ら向けの音楽を聞かせることで一般の喫茶店と区別を図り、レコード、オーディオ、サービス・ガール、インテリアの四つの要素で店の特徴を出した。女給目当ての客も少なくなかったようだが、店の看板はレコード収集と高価な再生装置だった。ジャズ喫茶の始まりには昭和初年の都市中間層の拡大、彼らの新しい娯楽のかたちや感性、趣味の洗練への関心、文化ヒエラルキー観、音響テクノロジーの発展、レコード市場の拡大、ニッチ市場の確立などが関わっている。ジャズ喫茶の勃興はスウィングの人気に刺激された面がある。スウィングは一九二〇年代の白人ジャズと異なり、個人の即興を重んじ、ヨーロッパ音楽の亜流ではない新しい美学を打ち出した。スウィング支持者はそのレコードをダンスの伴奏ではなく、鑑賞に足る芸術と見なし、それにふさわしい世評を書き、演奏家や名曲の録音歴(ディスコグラフィー)を調査した。中古盤市場も充実した。ジャズ喫茶は静寂のなかでレコードを聴きこむ雰囲気を作り出した。それは私財を投資した公共的なレコード収集庫として機能し、愛好家集団の経緯・知識の拠点となった。

日本語母語話者の会話で「イチゴが売っている」というような表現が使われることがある。商品が「ガ」で示されるのは、単なる言い誤りによる格の誤用として処理してしまうには出現の頻度が高く、一つの定型構文として成立してしまっているものであると考えられる。動作主でなく対象が「ガ」によって表示されていること、必ず「売っている」などテイル形で現れるということ、商品の所有権が移動しないという状況に限定されているということがその構文が成立可能となる特徴としてあげられる。このような表現が存在し得る理由は、「商品として物が存在している」ということだけを表現するためには、冗長的でない規範的な言い方では言い表しにくいということが考えられる。

This research combines the quantitative content analysis of election coverage and survey data analysis to demonstrate the effect of TV shows on democratic politics in Japan. First, we classified 31 private TV shows into two categories-"hard news" and "soft news"-via the quantitative content analysis of coverage of the 2007 election. Secondly, we examined the effects of the programs on interest in the 2007 election as well as political involvement using the Asian barometer 2/CSES3 dataset. The results show that: 1) exposure to "hard news" positively correlated with interest in the election as well as political involvement, 2) exposure to "soft news" had a positive correlation with interest in the election only among less-informed people. This study reveals the importance of quantitative content-based classification to distinguish the particular effects of TV shows on democratic politics in response to diversifying forms of political news coverage.

Authors assumed that the origin of the standard gauge of the railway is in the interval of wheel tracks of ancient carriages such as war chariots, two-wheeled carts and four-wheeled wagons. Basing on the assumption, authors have measured the interval of wheel track at ancient ruins and ancient highway of the Eurasian Continent and the African Continent for long years. On the other hand, the oldest vehicle that exists in the world is chariot of Tut-ankh-Amen who was the Pharaoh of ancient Egyptian of the 18th New Dynasty before 3,500 years and another two chariots of the former dynasty. Authors visited at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo for four times till now and observed six chariots in detail that were displayed inside the glass case. Considering findings of the interval of wheel tracks, authors report the specifications of Tut-ankh-Amen's chariots in this paper.
