48歳, 61歳, 47歳の男性および38歳の女性の4例のペラグラについて報告した。いずれも極端な偏食家で, うち2例がアルコール中毒患者である。顔面, 頸部, 四肢の露出部等にペラグラ疹が出現した。Dermatitis, diarrheaおよびdementiaの3D症状すべてを備えたもの2例, 残る2例のうち1例は消化器症状のみ伴い, 1例は皮膚病変のみみられた。血液ニコチン酸はすべて低下又は正常下限を示した。男性の3例はスラム街の住民であり, 現在でも特殊な社会環境下では散発的にみられる疾患ではないかと思われる。各症例の特徴を比較し, ペラグラの最近の傾向について文献的に考察を加えた。

We devised a series of tasks as therapy for some types of vertigo. The task are as follows: 1) keeping the head in a position that elicits vertigo,2) head movements beginning in the sitting position,3) a short rest,4) body trunk movements,5) clockwise and counterclockwise body rotations while standing with eyes closed,7) walking forwards and backwards with eyes closed.<BR>We obtained favo r able results with this therapy in one of ten patients with Meniere's disease, all seven patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and six of ten patients with vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency. Our home therapy is recommended for all patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and selected patients with vertebrobasilar artery insufficiency.

More than 100 pteropod specimens were collected from each of the Eocene Shikiyama and Oniike formations in the Amakusa area, Kumamoto Prefecture, Southwest Japan. These fossils constitute the first Paleogene pteropod record from Japan. The pteropods from the Shikiyama Formation consist of five species, including Limacina canadaensis Hodgkinson, L. pygmaea (Lamarck), and Praehyalocylis annulata (Tate). The pteropods from the Oniike Formation consist of six species, including Limacina canadaensis, L. lotschi (Tembrock), Creseis hastata (Meyer), C. simplex (Meyer), and Praehyalocylis annulata. Both of these pteropod faunas are characterized by the predominance of Limacina in species diversity and specimen abundance. The faunas are similar to the pteropod faunas from the Middle to Upper Eocene of Europe and the east coast of North America in terms of generic composition and the predominance of Limacina.

This paper explores the potential of orbital angular momentum (OAM) multiplexing as a means to enable high-speed wireless transmission. OAM is a physical property of electro-magnetic waves that are characterized by a helical phase front in the propagation direction. Since the characteristic can be used to create multiple orthogonal channels, wireless transmission using OAM can enhance the wireless transmission rate. Comparisons with other wireless transmission technologies clarify that OAM multiplexing is particularly promising for point-to-point wireless transmission. We also clarify three major issues in OAM multiplexing: beam divergence, mode-dependent performance degradation, and reception (Rx) signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) reduction. To mitigate mode-dependent performance degradation we first present a simple but practical Rx antenna design method. Exploiting the fact that there are specific location sets with phase differences of 90 or 180 degrees, the method allows each OAM mode to be received at its high SNR region. We also introduce two methods to address the Rx SNR reduction issue by exploiting the property of a Gaussian beam generated by multiple uniform circular arrays and by using a dielectric lens antenna. We confirm the feasibility of OAM multiplexing in a proof of concept experiment at 5.2 GHz. The effectiveness of the proposed Rx antenna design method is validated by computer simulations that use experimentally measured values. The two new Rx SNR enhancement methods are validated by computer simulations using wireless transmission at 60 GHz.

En general, la tumeur embryoide mixte du rein est observee chez l'enfant. Selon les statistiques, plus 80 % des malades de cette tumeur sont des enfants de moins de 6 an s, mais les adultes se trouvent dans la proportion de 6 ou 7 %. Nous avons observe un cas de cette tumeur chez une malade de 57 ans. Observation : II s'agit d'une malade A gee de 57 ans. II y a une annee, et deux mois, elle avait manifesto de l'hematurie, et depuis un mois, elle a commence a sentir des douleurs au rein gauche et a l'abdomen gauche ; depuis une semaine elle a manifes to une tres forte hematurie. L'aspect ge n eral est celui d'une personne maigre et anemique. On sent dans la partie gauche de l'abdomen le rein grossi de la grosseur de la the d'un enfant. Cystoscopie On ne trouve aucun eta. morbide, mais on observe une u rine sanglante sortant par l'orifice ureteral gauche ; l'examen d'indigocarmine est negatif du cOt e gauche. Radiographie Pyelo-uretero-graphie ascendente par radioscopie, le bassinet et l 'u retre droit sont un peu dilates, mais a gauche le bassinet et d'uretre sont gigantesques . (Fig. 1, 2, 3) R esultat de l'intervention chirurgicale Nephrectomie gauche par anesthesie generale d'Heidbrink. On a extirpê le rein gauche qui etait tres grand et qui adherait forte ment l'aorte et au tissu conjonctif environnant' mais on n'extirpa pas une metastase lymphoide environnant l'aorte. La dimen s i o n du rein extirpe est de 16 c m x 13.5 cm X1 0 c m ; et le poids est de 1.225 g ; l'uretre a 30 cm de longueur et 5.5 cm de largeur. he rein est presque entierement occupe par le tissue de la tumeur. (Fig. 4, 5) Les suites operatoires sont favo r a bles. Cependant, comme l'anemie etait tres forte (erythrocyte est 287 X 1 04, contenu hemoglobine par Sahli est 48 %, leucocyte est 3,4 00), on ne pouvait pas faire de radio-therapie. Sur ces entrefaites, la tumeur metas t atique restee grossissait dans le flanc gauche. Apt-es un mois, on a pratique la radio-the rapie, mais apres l'avoir poursuivie pendant environ 30 jours it a fallu suspendre le traitement a cause de l'anemie. En 3 mois, cette tumeur a metastase aux ganglions lymphatiques du bile du poumon. La patiente est morte 5 mois apres l'intervention. Anatomine pathologique On trouve la metastase aux poumons, au foie, au corps surrenal droit, et aux ganglions lymphatiques retroperitonal, autour de l'aorte, du hile du poumon, sur la clavicule gauche, autour de la trachee, de la bifurcation de la trachee, du Nile du foie, et de la petite coubure de l'estomac. (Fig. C, 7) Pathologie microscopique : Dans le tissu de la tumeur ex tirpee, on trouve une formation serree des cellules, mais on ne trouve pas une formation en nid ; la disposition des cellules rappelle un peu celle d'une glande, ou d'un glomerule, mais on ne trouve pas de tissu glandulaire a proprement parles, ni d'os. ni de cartilage, ni de muscle etc L'observation des tissus de la metastase est presque la même que celle de la tumeur primitive. (Fig. 8, 9, 10, 11)

本研究の目的は、母親と父親の調理に対する態度が、家族の共食の雰囲気や子どもの調理態度にどのような影響を与えるかを明らかにすることである。東京圏に住む中学生を対象としたアンケート調査結果より、712人を対象として分析した。主な結果は次のようである。(1)「母親の調理態度」だけでなく「父親の調理態度」が積極的なほど、子どもは「共食の雰囲気」を楽しいと感じていた。女子は「母親の調理態度」の影響を強く受け、男子は母親と同じくらいの強さで「父親の調理態度」の影響を受けていた。しかし、親の調理態度は、共食の頻度には影響を与えなかった。(2)「母親の調理態度」とともに「父親の調理態度」の積極性も、「子どもの調理態度」にプラスの影響を与えることが明らかとなった。女子では母親の影響が強く、男子では父親の影響が強い。さらに、「共食の雰囲気」のよさは、「子どもの調理態度」を積極的にした。(3)「母親の調理頻度」が高いほど、「共食の雰囲気」にマイナスの影響があった。母親に食事作りの役割が集中し固定化することは、共食時の楽しい雰囲気を阻害する可能性がある。

This report was prepared for the 7th International Congress of School & University Health & Medicine in Mexican City (1975, Nov. )<BR>Dr. Nakatani's Ryodoraku E. A. P (with L. C Neu rometer or O. C. A), accompanied by Dr. Narimiya's Permanent M. G band application upon the bronchial asthma & nocturual enuresis patients was made on the possibility of stabilization on antomatic nerve-unblance by checking the index from the measured values by neurometer and also clinical effects.<BR>The application to 78 bronchial asthma cases was resulted in improved 9, favo urable 24 (total 33); unchanged 15, uninvestigated or unknown 29 cases. The younger, the more effective in my datum.<BR>The application to 52 nocturnal enuresis cases was resulted in improved 11, favourable 19 (total 30); unchanged 7, uninvestigated or unknown 15 cases. The younger, the more effective in my, datum. Electric Needle, however, has a trouble defect of strong stimulation to the skin, therefore, Dr. Y. Narimiya's Perm, M. G. band application is suitable for the therapy at home especially for infants & babies.<BR>By the use of electricl needle restoration & stabilization of autonomic unblance were observed and chronic diseases, even adult's diseases, were relieved by the longterm &continuous therapy. Permanent. M. G. band has lower stimulative action than that of electric needle, and when measured values with neurometer were checket as index. M. G-application resulted in showing, a tendency of restoration and stabilization of antonomic nerve unbalance, thus seems to be effective for the improvement and restoration of the diseases or half diseased conditions.

本研究代表者らがこれまでに達成した知見を踏まえて、「温和な反応条件下でのアンモニア合成反応法の開発」と「温和な反応条件下でのアンモニアの分解反応の開発」に取り組んだ。前者では、トリホスフィン(PPP)型三座配位子やPCP型ピンサー配位子を持つ窒素架橋2核モリブデン錯体を設計・合成し、それらを触媒として利用した触媒的アンモニア生成反応を検討した。その結果大幅な触媒活性の向上を達成した。後者では、フェロセニルジホスフィンを配位子として有する窒素架橋2核モリブデン錯体の設計・合成に成功し、酸化還元による架橋窒素分子の窒素―窒素三重結合の開裂及び再結合を可逆的に制御できることを見出した。

This is a basic research reflecting upon the structure of the fragrance experienced in the traditional Japanese gardens. The author calls the landscape experienced through fragrance "the Scent-scape". The structure of the Scent-scape was investigated through the studies of all the sceneries described in "the Tale of Genji". Although the incense from inside the house has often been the subject for the former studies, the Scent-scape is the unique aspect of this study. It deals not only with the subjective (sensory) aspects of the fragrance, but also with the objective (physical) aspects and the integration of the two. From this research, it was clarified firstly that the nobles in the Heian era already appreciated the fragrance of the currently popular garden plants such as Ume (Prunus mume), Tachibana (Citrus tachibana), Fuji (Wisteria floribuda), and five other species. Secondly, they appreciated the scent of garden plants together with their physical aspects such as colors, shapes. These plants are placed in close distances from the buildings. Lastly, wind played an important role to integrate the two aspects by often maximizing the experience through embracing the scent of plants that is often strongly associated with their special memories of the past.

This research offers a broad overview of the professional occupation of journalism and the characteristics of their works, and investigates the ethical differences that arise from relations with the subject being reported. We also consider the limitations that arise during the production of the "news" that is created through the efforts of journalists. In journalism, the main aspiration is to "reveal the truth." In making visible the truth of incidents such as social evils that are not in the best interests of social values or the public good, this research revealed that there is room at times for "the ends justifying the means" in journalism.

It goes without saying that the access on roads near one's residence is essential to every person's life. Nevertheless, the passage of highways has been thought to be die ?ffentlichen Sachen im Gemeingebrauch and not the exercise of public right in Japan. On the other hand, since the Supreme Court judged that the obstruction of traffic on the highway implies the infringement of "the right to freedom of passage" in 1964, lower courts have accepted the idea of the private right to access. But the right is not admitted to be public one, so it is difficult to claim the illegitimacy of highway administration. To the contrary, on the privately owned and administrated quasi-highways--it might be a highway administration system peculiar to Japan--, passage restrictions by the private administrator are frequently judged to be infringements of "the right to freedom of passage". This article aims to make clear that the passage of highways can be an exercise of public right in the comparison with "the right to freedom of passage" as a private right to access and as a right which can be asserted against the private administrations of quasi-highways.

1. The daytime activities of Adelie penguin adults of the small colony in the early guard stage were observed at Hinode Misaki (Cape Hinode, 68°09'S, 42°43'E) during the austral summer. 2. Notes were made on the following thirteen activities : going out of the colony ; entering into the colony ; loud mutual display ; quiet mutual display ; ecstatic display ; bill-to-axilla display ; copulation ; turning egg over ; preening ; collecting nest stones ; fighting ; feeding ; and protective threatening against skuas. 3. The midday maximum activities were as follows : going out of the colony ; entering into the colony ; collecting nest stones ; loud mutual display ; copulation. The midday minimum activities were as follows : ecstatic display ; bill-to-axilla display. Frequency of activity was reverse between loud mutual display and quiet mutual display. Protective threatening varied with the activity of skua. In the activities of fighting, preening, feeding and turning egg over, no characteristic patterns were observed.
