本研究は,金融実務家から要望が高い,数週間以上の長期的でしかも個別銘柄より広範な市場分析に,テキストマイニング技術で挑戦した.長期市場分析に有効なテキスト情報として,経済の専門家や金融機関がWeb上に発行するマーケットリポートを分析対象とした.そのために,定期的に発行されるテキストデータから時間的な特徴の変化を抽出し,テキストに関連する外部の時系列データとの関係性を見つけるテキストマイニング技術を新たに開発した.本技術を用いて実際に経済市場分析を試み,実際の市場動向をどの程度説明しているのかについて検証を行った.日本国債の2年物,5年物,10年物で運用テストを行った結果,既存のサポートベクタ回帰や計量経済モデルと比べて,どの市場でも安定して,ほぼ最高水準の運用益をあげることができた.In this study, we proposed a new text-mining methods for long-term market analysis. Using our method, we perfomed out-of-sample test using monthly price data of financial markets; Japanese government bond 2-year, 5-year, and 10-year markets. First we extracted feature vectors from monthly reports of Bank of Japan. Then, trends of each market were estimated by regression analysis using the feature vectors. As a result of comparison with support vector regression and an econometric model, the proposal method could forecast in higher accuracy about both the level and direction of long-term market trends.

Pharmacists need to have a clear policy for managing investigational drugs under circumstances that are consistent with Good Clinical Practice. We studied the management and support system for the clinical research of investigational drugs based on the management of investigational drugs. We experienced 126 cases of pharmaceutical consultations in 650 prescriptions for investigational drugs from April 1997 to March 1998. Seven cases which might induce a patient to drop out, were included in pharmaceutical consultations. We found it was important to communicate with all investigators regarding giving adequate prior information to having a clearly defined protocol. Our pharmaceutical program for the clinical research of investigational drugs was thus found to be useful in the management of investigational drugs.

本講演では,球体内部に搭載したジャイロの角運動量を制御することによって駆動トルクを発生・制御する構造の球体ロボットについて,球体ロボット本体および操縦インタフェースの設計・製作,シミュレーションおよび実機実験による性能評価結果を報告する.また,実機におけるニューテーションや外乱の影響についても考察・検討する.

In this essay we will try to examine some aspects of fair trade in comparison with development assistance. First, a definition and development of fair trade is shown and its characteristics are demonstrated. Fair trade is a trade partnership bound for the realization of fairer international trade. In particular, it contributes to the conservation of producers' and workers' rights in developing countries and offers them better conditions for trade. Fair trade has a relatively long history in Europe and other developed countries, and several stakeholders such as producers and workers, fair trade organizations, companies, and consumers are involved. Second, some effects and limitations of fair trade are explicated and its possibilities and inherent problems are analyzed in comparison with development assistance. Fair trade has some advantages compared with development assistance. Because it is basically trading activity, fair trade can permeate wider social spheres than development assistance, such as producers' and workers' communities in developing countries, NGOs and corporations, and consumers' society in developed countries. On the other hand, fair trade has some limitations because its share in the world trade is still very small by now. Nevertheless, we must say that fair trade has great possibilities to transform unequal structures of world trade and make better future of global society. At the conclusion of this essay, we will give some implications extracted from these enterprises. We should not forget that fair trade is as much a social movement as an economic activity, and we should make continuous effort to realize that goal.

Tetrodotoxin (TTX) is distributed in wide range of animals, marine puffer fish and terrestrial newts and frogs, for examples. We have isolated various TTX analogs from these animals, and attempted to obtain clues to biosynthetic pathway of TTX from the structures of these analogs. Here we isolated four new analogs of TTX from the Okinawan newt Cynops ensicauda popei, and determined their structures as 8-epi-5,6,11-trideoxyTTX, its 4,9-anhydro derivative, its 1-hydroxy derivative, and its 1-hydroxy-4,4a-anhydro derivative, by spectroscopic method. These analogs are not detected in puffer fish, instead, 5,6,11-trideoxyTTX is detected as a major analog in puffer fish eggs. 1-Hydroxy type analog might be specific to newts, since 1-hydroxy-5,11-dideoxyTTX was previously isolated from the other species of newt, Taricha granulosa, by other group. This is the first identification of 4,4a-anhydro type analog of TTX from the natural source.

テクノロジーとりわけデジタル化、ネットワーク化の進展は、音楽コンテンツや音楽情報の伝播のグローバル化、ボーダレス化を促進させている。このような背景のもと、近年、日本人アーティストの海外進出の成功事例が徐々に増えてきており、日本の音楽産業の海外進出、グローバル化、現地化(ローカライゼーション)といった視点からも音楽産業の実態を把握する必要が生じている。本発表では日本人アーティストの海外進出に関する事例調査報告を行う。国外での活動展開にあたっては、物理的制約や、文化、制度、慣習、言語の違いなどにより、国内での活動以上に困難が伴い、人的な資質への依存度が高くなると予想される。研究枠組みとしてはピオリとセーブルの「柔軟な専門性」を概念装置とし、国内の音楽産業に見出されたそれが、国外での活動展開に際してもまた強く見出されることを明らかにする。
