The first purpose of this study was to demonstrate the durability of spacing effects produced by the Modified Low-First Method. The Modified Low-First Method is an optimal spaced learning method which was derived from a reactivation theory of spacing effects and was designed to be effective by setting as advantageous spaces as possible for all items and for any learners with various working memory capacities. It consists of three principles; the first is to sort all items by their probabilities of recall in ascending order at the end of each learning session for the subsequent session, and the second is to omit items whose probabilities of recall have reached a certain level, and the third is to transit to a new learning session when the number of unrecalled items in a session have reached a certain number. The second purpose of this study was to extend a reactivation model to be able to predict probabilities of delayed recall by incorporating a forgetting function into the previous model. In Experiment, the probabilities of delayed recall in the control condition with simple repetition method and in the experimental condition with the Modified Low-First Method were compared. The result indicated that the Modified Low-First Method was constantly more effective than the former for as many as 14 days. In Simulation, a forgetting power function derived from the experimental data was incorporated into the existent model, and the experiment was simulated with it. The result showed that the estimated probabilities of delayed recall approximated closely to the experimental data, indicating the adequacy of the extended reactivation model.

インターネットユーザの多くが,良くアクセスするURLを自分のブラウザにブックマークとして保存している.しかしながら,URLは変化が激しく,すぐに陳腐化するという問題がある.本稿では,ブックマーク内のURLを新鮮で有効なものに保つことを目的とするブックマーク管理システムについて報告する.本システムのアイデアは協調フィルタリングをベースとし,Yahoo!やOpenDirectory Projectのような大規模ディレクトリを一ユーザとして扱うというものである.評価実験により,ユーザ数が少なくても有効なURLの推薦が可能だとわかった.Most Internet users keep URLs that they are going to access often in their browsers as the bookmarks. Bookmarks in the browser are easy to be obsolete. In this article we describe a bookmark maintenance system that supports to keep users' bookmarks fresh and useful. The system recommends the useful URL to users with social filtering the users and large directory like Yahoo and the Open Directory. The collaboration of users and such large-scale directory enable useful recommendation to the small number users.

海外文献集録・海外文献紹介欄では, これまで海外で発表された最新の情報を会員の皆様に提供するため, 発刊されて間もない海外文献誌や開催されて間もない国際学会のプロシーディング等から論文を選び, 前者では数行で, 後者ではそれよりも詳細な抄訳をして紹介してきた.しかし, これらの集録・紹介の記事の中には, 専門分野以外の方にとっては多少わかりにくかったり, 日本国内ではあまりなじみのないキーワード・用語が含まれていることがあった.海外文献の中には優れたチュートリアル論文が多数ある.そうした論文を抄訳し紹介することによって, 技術のアウトラインをつかむとともに, 原典に触れていただくきっかけになることを期待して, 発表の時期が多少古いものも含め, 海外文献紹介の1つとして年に何回か取上げて紹介していくことにした.初回は, 最近の海外文献集録に何回か登場し, 応用分野も広い技術である「遺伝的アルゴリズム(Genetic Algorithm)」を取上げた.なお, これまで海外文献集録・紹介欄で取上げた抄訳の中に出てきたキーワード・用語で, この欄で取上げたら良いと思われるものがあれば, 当学会のホームページにある「会誌アンケート(学会誌読者アンケート)」ページ(URLは以下)等を利用してご提案していただきたい.

インターネット上で、電子メールや、データベースアクセスや情報掲示板など、情報共有作業を支援するアプリケーションの事例が多く報告されている。これらの作業は、開始から終了までの間に他の作業者との情報交換や協調を行う必要がないよう実装されている。このような実装のアプリケーションを個人作業支援アプリケーション(個人用AP)と呼ぶ事にする。個人用APは小規模な業務支援を対象としている。一方インターネット上で広域の業務支援システムを構築するためには、ワークフロー管理機能が有効である。そこで個人用APを逐次的に連結し、ワークフロー管理を行う構成法を明確にする必要がある。 本研究では、個人用APを逐次的に連結したワークフローを対象とする。本研究の前提を次に示す。(1)ユーザがWWWのブラウザから実行できる複数サーバ上に分散した個人用APのURLは既知とする。(2)ワークフローは有限の条件分岐パターンが業務実行前に確定した定型的なものとする。本論文では、まずワークフロー処理系の構成について議論する。次にこれの試作によって判明した問題点について考察する。

XMLデータはWeb情報システムやEC/EDI応用で広く使われていくことが予想されるが、そのような応用では大量のXMLデータを通常対象とする。そのためには利用者がサーチ条件を指定できるようにして本当に必要なXMLデータのみを検索できるようにすることと、複数のXMLデータソースを統合利用できるようにすることが必要である。このためにXQLというXMLデータの問い合わせ言語を提案する。XQLは従来のデータベース標準(SQLやOQL)との整合性を考慮して設計されている。本稿ではXMLデータの問い合わせ言語の要件と機能について説明し、XML問い合わせ処理システムxQuesのためのXQLの実装について触れる。

強迫性障害は,強迫観念・強迫行為が反復・持続し,時間の浪費や回避行動のために日常生活や人間関係が困難になることを特徴とする精神障害である.治療については,薬物療法と行動療法の有効性がわかっている.行動療法では,エクスポージャーが用いられることがある.本稿では行動療法を中心とした症状軽減を目指す立場から,確認の強迫症状などの生活に支障をきたす安全確保行動を,どのように生活に支障をきたさない新しい適応的な安全確保行動に置き換えることができるか,事例を通して検討した.治療目標としては,行動面の「ひとりで外出する」と感情面の「情緒の安定」の二つを設定した.まず信頼的な治療者患者関係を構築したうえで,行動面は段階的なエクスポージャーを用いた行動的アプローチにより,強迫症状が改善した.感情面は,筋弛緩法,自律訓練法と具体的検討に基づいたフィードバックが奏功した.さらに過程が進むにつれて自尊感情が高くなった.

Cultures of Lemna paucicostata 6746 were exposed to a single 96-hr dark period followed by continuous illumination at 24±1℃. Flowering percentage increased to a maximum 3 days after the end of the dark period and then fell off to 0% on the 5th day. Among 20 amino acids and 2 amides tested, addition of asparagine, aspartate, glutamate, α-alanine, glycine and serine clearly increased the flowering percentages and retarded the regression of floral buds by 2-3 days. These substances given after the end of the long dark period were more effective than those given during the dark period, suggesting that they favored the flower-producing process following the inductive dark process. On the other hand, if the above amino acids or amide were applied under repeated light-dark cycles, they shortened the critical dark period by 1-2 hr and almost completely nullified the light-break effect. They seem to promote the flower-inductive dark process, too. Glutamate, for instance, was effective even at 5 μM, while this amino acid is found in the plant body in large quantities. The mechanism of flower promotion by these amino acids and amide remains unknown.

It is assumed that positional information within a developing organism is represented by a morphogen gradient. However, it is not yet understood how positional information is organized in a size invariant manner. To achieve such size invariance, it is necessary for an organism to organize the polarity of positional information in advance. We focus on tactic behavior of the Physarum plasmodium and propose a model that describes the organization of size invariant positional information, in which the direction of the phase wave represents the polarity. We would like to point out that self-referential dynamics exist in our model, and their implementation is discussed. Our mode may be applied to other developmental systems.

ニューメディアは,検索,加工などコンピュータによる便利な付加機能をもつが,高い。法人は採算や効率を考えて,必要と判断すれば金額が大きくても購入するが,個人が払う金額には一定の限度がある。データベース等のオンラインサービスは法人向けには普及しつつあるが,まだ個人が払える「価格水準」になっていない。ビジネス情報を中心に個人でも利用したいというニーズは出てきており,提供方法,価格体系などで提供者側の工夫が必要である。一方,コミュニケーションの手段としてパソコン通信が急成長しており,新しいネットワークとして注目される。

今日,卸売市場を取り巻く生鮮食品等の物流環境は,需要の多様化小売構造の変化生産の大型化・国際化,IT革命の進展などを受け大きく変貌してきている。生鮮食品等の市場取扱量は伸び悩み,取扱高の基本となる市場価格は低下傾向にある中で市場内の荷卸し,仕分け,加工,保管,配送等の物流領域は増加しているが,その合理化は遅々としており,卸売市場の経営基盤を低下させる一因となってきている。また,市場機能面では,産地からの大型車による積み合わせ輸送や低温一貫流通への対応,需要者サイドからの仕分け,小口配送,リアルタイム納品といった要請への対応,さらにこれらに関係する情報化対応といった点で産地,需要者から厳しい指摘がなされており,対応の遅れが市場機能の低下に結びつく可能性が高まっている。したがって,今後,卸売市場を整備するなかでは,このような物流環境の変化を踏まえた対応を行うことが急務となっている。
