本年度は、前年度に執筆した論文「網野善彦とベラ・ザスーリチへの手紙」の修正を行った。網野の代表作『無縁・公界・楽』の核心的テーマである「無縁」=「原始の自由」は、ベラ・ザスーリチへの手紙(カール・マルクスの書簡)を読み直すことで得た着想が基になっているという。この網野の証言の妥当性を、多様な資料に基づいて再検討した。また前川一郎編著『教養としての歴史問題』(東洋経済新報社)に「「自虐史観」批判と対峙する―網野善彦の提言を振り返る」を寄稿した。排外主義・歴史修正主義的な言説が蔓延する現状に対処するヒントを、戦後歴史学に対する網野の提言に求めた。網野は「新しい歴史教科書をつくる会」に批判的だったが、歴史学界の「つくる会」批判は有効ではないと考えていた。そのことを端的に示すのが、網野の「自由主義史観は戦後歴史学の鬼子」発言である。網野は天皇制反対論者だったが、天皇制を解体するには、“敵”である天皇制の本質を知る必要があると考えていた。網野は「無縁」の思想や非農業民が天皇と深く結びついていたことに天皇制存続の理由を求めた。ところが、網野の議論は学界からは「天皇擁護論」と批判された。しかし網野から見れば、天皇制の根深さに正面から取り組もうとしていない歴史学界は“逃げている”ように映っていた。戦後歴史学が天皇制研究をきちんとやらなかったから、「つくる会」にその隙を突かれたのだ、というのが網野の認識だった。網野の議論や認識には疑問もあるが、歴史学界が網野に冷淡だった点は否めない。歴史学界のある種の自閉性は今も続いているのではないか、と本稿では指摘した。

In order to increase the number of videos playback, we researched on the thumbnail images and the titles which were selected by the viewers. We built the samples and conducted the questionnaires in order to reveal the factors that make a great influence on the evaluation and be clear about the positive levels. We revealed the viewers decide the videos under the influence of the images rather than sentences and words. Also, Images factors are particularly effective for males. On the other hand, females are more affected by sentences and words than males. This research revealed the guidelines that YouTuber creates thumbnail images and titles and the elements to incorporate according to the target the males or the females. As a starting point of this research, we will be able to conduct more detailed research on thumbnail images and titles.

Our recent work has shown that cannabidiol (CBD) exhibits the most potent direct inhibition of human cytochrome P450 1A1 (CYP1A1) among the CYP enzymes examined. However, the mechanism underlying this CBD inhibition remains to be clarified. Thus, to elucidate the structural requirements for the potent inhibition by CBD, the effects of CBD and its structurally related compounds on CYP1A1 activity were investigated with recombinant human CYP1A1. Olivetol, which corresponds to the pentylresorcinol moiety of CBD, inhibited the 7-ethoxyresorufin O-deethylase activity of CYP1A1; its inhibitory effect (IC50=13.8 µM) was less potent than that of CBD (IC50=0.355 µM). In contrast, d-limonene, which corresponds to the terpene moiety of CBD, only slightly inhibited CYP1A1 activity. CBD-2′-monomethyl ether (CBDM) and CBD-2′,6′-dimethyl ether inhibited CYP1A1 activity with IC50 values of 4.07 and 23.0 µM, respectively, indicating that their inhibitory effects attenuated depending on the level of methylation on the free phenolic hydroxyl groups in the pentylresorcinol moiety of CBD. Cannabidivarin inhibited CYP1A1 activity, although its inhibitory potency (IC50=1.85 µM) was lower than that of CBD. The inhibitory effects of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabielsoin (IC50s ≈10 µM), which contain a free phenolic hydroxyl group and are structurally constrained, were less potent than that of CBDM, which contains a free phenolic hydroxyl group and is rotatable between pentylresorcinol and terpene moieties. These results suggest that the pentylresorcinol structure in CBD may have structurally important roles in direct CYP1A1 inhibition, although the whole structure of CBD is required for overall inhibition.

PLOS ONEは2006年に創刊されて以来,急速な成長を続け,2013年には年間3万本以上の論文を掲載する,世界最大の雑誌となっている。本稿ではその出版母体であるPLOSの歴史や,論文データベースやWebサイトから得られる情報に基づき,PLOS ONEの「これまで」「いま」,そして「この先」の可能性を論じる。PLOS ONEは「研究成果の迅速・自由な共有の実現」というPLOSのもつ文脈の下で刊行され,大きな成功を収めたようにもみえる。しかし,PLOS Biologyなど高インパクトの雑誌の赤字をPLOS ONEの収益で補填(ほてん)している現状は,OA出版のビジネスモデルの限界を示している。そして統計データによれば,どうやら,PLOS ONEの成長は,止まったようでもある。

Deposition of radioactive cesium isotopes, known as 137Cs and 134Cs, from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (FDNPS) causes great concern due to their long half lives. Decontamination of radioactive cesium in the environment is not easy. Deposited radioactive cesium moves slowly in the soil, and remains in the surface region unless physically disturbed. However, a selective extraction of cesium from soil particles is impossible, because cesium has been strongly absorbed on clay minerals. This study demonstrated a method for the effective decontamination of radioactive cesium by using rice chaff and straw as an adsorbent at drains for rainwater in Moriya city, Japan. After 58 days of soaking, rice chaff and straw have captured radioactive cesium from 2990 Bq kg−1 (chaff) to 13610 Bq kg−1 (straw). Moreover, it was revealed that microorgasisms on the surface of rice chaff strongly captured radioactive cesium from soil particles in water. Therefore, rice chaff and straw are effective, low-cost and safe adsorbents for the decontamination of radioactive cesium.

The Japanese national immunization programme for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) started in 2010. Vaccination rates increased up to 70% in women in the 1996-1999 birth. However, the proactive recommendation for HPV vaccine was suspended in 2013, following repeated media reports of adverse events. Vaccination rates plumped to less than 1% in women born since 2002. In this study, incidence of abnormal cytology and histology was examined in terms of HPV vaccination among 5,924 women aged 20 to 24 years in the fiscal year (FY) 2014 and 2015. The total rate of vaccination was 16.9% (1,002/5,924). In case of FY 2015, the rates of vaccination were 59.26%, 49.68%, 11.97%, 9.08%, and 4.58% in those aged 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24 years old, respectively. The rates of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) or worse were 0.20% (2/1,002) in women with HPV vaccination and 1.14% (56/4,922) in those without HPV vaccination, indicating a significant reduction of 82.46% with vaccination (P < 0.0001). The rates of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) 1+ were 0.80% (8/1,002) in women with vaccination and 2.28% (112/4,922) in those without vaccination. The reduction rate of CIN1+ was 64.91% (P = 0.0025). The rates of CIN2+ were 0.10% (1/1,002) with vaccination and 0.69% (34/4,922) without vaccination. The reduction rate of CIN2+ was 85.51% (P = 0.0261). Our data are the first to demonstrate a significant reduction of CIN2+ cases in an Asian population. Scientific discussion is needed to restart the proactive recommendation for HPV vaccine in Japan.

メニエール病治療薬であるイソソルビドは、苦く特有な味であるために、服用に困難を極める弱点がある。これまで多様な方法が試みられたが、良好な服用法は確立されていない。その服用感を改善するため、健常人 33 名にイソソルビド+ある種の溶液の組み合わせ ( 1 : 1 混合) を 6 種類試飲してもらい、服用しやすさを 5 段階評価で検討した。原液の味に関しては苦味の評点が高かった。服用感については、原液の平均評点が 3.18 だったのに対し、オレンジジュースは 4.12、リンゴ酢は 3.12、炭酸水は 3.30、コカ・コーラTM は 3.76、ポカリスエットTMは 3.61、緑茶は 2.82 と、オレンジジュース、コカ・コーラTM、ポカリスエットTMは有意に服用しやすさを改善したが、緑茶は逆の傾向が見られた。患者がイソソルビドの服用しにくさを訴えた場合は、オレンジジュースかコカ・コーラTM、ポカリスエットTMで倍量希釈することで服薬コンプライアンスを上げられる。

本研究では、室内二酸化炭素濃度が定常になった状況を想定し、執務者の作業量と生理心理量を同時に測定する実験室実験を行った。その結果から二酸化炭素濃度が作業性と生理心理量に及ぼす影響を検証することを目的としている。さらに、室内の二酸化炭素濃度が人の呼気によって比較的短時間で上昇するため、非定常状態の検証も必要と考えた。濃度が短時間で変化する状況を想定し、非定常状態の濃度環境における作業性と生理心理量を同時に測定する実験室実験も行った。

症例は23歳女性.5年前にスプレー缶の蓋を膣内に留置してしまったが医療機関を受診せず放置し,次第に月経周期に類似した下血と腰痛が出現したため近医を受診した.大腸内視鏡検査で膣内異物と直腸膣瘻を指摘され経肛門的に異物除去術が施行されたが,2カ月後も瘻孔が閉鎖しないため当科を紹介された.初診時2横指大の直腸膣瘻と膣狭窄を認めた.回腸にループ式人工肛門が増設されたが6カ月後も瘻孔は閉鎖せず,根治目的に手術が施行された.瘻孔周辺の直腸と膣は高度の線維化により強固に癒着しており直腸・膣の修復は不可能であったため,再手術により子宮摘出・直腸切除,結腸肛門吻合術が施行された.3年2カ月の間にこれらの手術を含む計6回の手術が行われ直腸膣瘻は根治した.膣内異物による直腸膣瘻はまれな病態であるが,治療に難渋した自験例を若干の文献的考察を加え報告する.
