摂取した食物が脳内代謝を変動させ,脳機能活動に影響を及ぼすことが多く報告されてきた.これまでにも同様のタイトルでの記述をしており(1),今回は,比較的最新の動向について紹介する.また,脳機能に食品や食品成分がどのような影響を与えるか,それをどのように評価するかについての新しい手法も開発されてきており,食品や食品成分の情動への影響などの脳機能効果がより解明されやすくなった.

500年前に讃岐の国の一村に麹の組合があったという。本稿ではこの室本麹座を中心として当時の社会, 政治, 経済の動きを解説して頂いた。筆者が御当地の出身で習俗参考館を設立開館されるなど, 民俗研究家, 郷土史家として活躍されているだけに, 古文書等による裏付けも豊かで, 往時を彷彿させる古い資料が消失してゆく現代においての貴重な資料であり, 讃岐という思いがけない地方からの興味あるレポートである。

本稿では,貧困・生活不安定層出身である〈ヤンチャな子ら〉の学校経験を描くことによって,①生徒のストラテジーの実証研究がない,②教師のストラテジーが生徒の学校生活に与える影響が明らかにされていない,というストラテジー研究の課題について検討した。<BR> 分析結果は次の三点である。第一に,〈ヤンチャな子ら〉は,家庭の文化に依拠して学校文化を異化しつつも,親たちの人生に自らの人生を重ね合わせず,高卒資格の意義を認めていた。学校文化への異化と同化の間で構造的ジレンマを抱えていたのである。第二に,そのジレンマに対処するため,彼らは「時間と空間のコントロール」,「非対称な関係性の組み替え」,「学校の意味世界の変換」というコーピング・ストラテジーを編み出していた。それに対して,教師たちは「時間と空間の再コントロール」,「組み替えられた関係性の資源化」,「生徒の意味世界の取り込み」というペタゴジカル・ストラテジーによって,彼らを教育活動に巻き込んでいた。第三に,教師たちのストラテジーにより,〈ヤンチャな子ら〉は教師を肯定的に評価しており,その評価は登校継続に積極的な影響を与えていた。だが,学校から一度離れたケースでは,教師への肯定的評価が登校継続に逆効果をもっていた。<BR> 以上より,生徒が構造的ジレンマのなかで様々なストラテジーを用いて学校生活を過ごしていること,教師のストラテジーの効果は生徒の解釈や状況に依存することが明らかとなった。

We examined a 10-year-old cow in which about half of the liver was displaced by malignant tissue consisting of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and cholangiocarcinoma (CC). Cytokeratin (CK) 18 and 7 were expressed in the latter. Metastasis was present in the hepatic, pancreaticoduodenal and mediastinal lymph nodes, where malignant cells had hepatocellular features, but more pleomorphic and atypical than in the primary lesion. Areas composed solely of CC cells or less-differentiated HCC cells were observed. In contrast, well-differentiated HCC cells were almost always admixed with the other two types, and may have had the ability to transform into CC cells and to dedifferentiate into less-differentiated cells. This report suggests that CK18 is an excellent marker for biliary differentiation in cattle.

A white nodule was detected in the liver of a wild female sika deer. The nodule was histologically diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), and it transitioned into a hyperplastic and chronically inflamed intrahepatic bile duct showing Fasciola infection. Therefore, the tumor was demonstrated to have originated from the biliary epithelium of the intrahepatic bile duct. Hyperplastic and chronic inflammatory changes of the biliary epithelium might have contributed the carcinogenesis of the present case, as proposed in human primary intrahepatic SCC cases. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of primary intrahepatic SCC in an animal.

In this study, a stationary front is automatically detected from weather data using a U-Net deep convolutional neural network. The U-Net trained the transformation process from single/multiple physical quantities of weather data to detect stationary fronts using a 10-year data set. As a result of applying the trained U-Net to a 1-year untrained data set, the proposed approach succeeded in detecting the approximate shape of seasonal fronts with the exception of typhoons. In addition, the wind velocity (zonal and meridional components), wind direction, horizontal temperature gradient at 1000 hPa, relative humidity at 925 hPa, and water vapor at 850 hPa yielded high detection performance. Because the shape of the front extracted from each physical quantity is occasionally different, it is important to comprehensively analyze the results to make a final determination.

This article analyzes information on Western education contained in several records, namely "A British Inquiry," "A Dutch Inquiry," "A French Inquiry," "A Prussian Inquiry," and "A Portuguese Inquiry" (called collectively "A European Inquiry" hereafter), found in The Notes of Fukuda Sakutaro (27 vols.). This work, housed in the Historiographical Institute The University of Tokyo, was recorded during the Tokugawa shogunate's 1861 mission to Europe. This article discusses the following : 1. The legation of the 1861 mission and the inquiry into European educational systems; 2. The participation of Mitsukuri Genpo in the inquiry into European educational systems ; 3. Circumstances surrounding the composition of The Notes of Fukuda Sakutaro ; 4. Information about the establishment of schools and forms of administration as described in "A European Inquiry ;" 5. Information about national educational systems as described in "A European Inquiry;" 6. Information about schools of every country visited during the Mission as described in "A European Inquiry." There are five particular points made in this article. First, The Notes of Fukuda Sakutaro has not been used as a source prior to this, with the exception of "A British Inquiry," published in Seiyo Kenbunshu (A Collection of Observations of the West), in Nippon Shiso Taikei. vol. 66. Second, it was exactly ten years later that the new Meiji Ministry of Education followed in the footsteps of the Tokugawa Shogunate and began its own investigation of educational systems. The 1861 mission, in addition to its primary function of improving foreign relations, included an inquiry into European matters, under orders to "conduct an investigation into each nation's government, educational system, and military organizations with particular care." In other words, the 1861 mission was Japan's first investigation into the state of Western education, and "A European Inquiry" was the formal report. Third, it was likely because of the involvement of Mitsukuri Genpo, chief instructor of the shogunate's Bureau of Western Learning, that educational systems came to be the most important topic for the 1861 mission's inquiries. At that time, Mitsukuri Genpo, with his strong connections to shogunal leaders, was the scholar most familiar with Western education through his knowledge of Dutch and Chinese translations of foreign books. Fourth, this article discusses the analysis of the surveys of various European countries included in "A European Inquiry," on topics like the establishment of schools and the forms of administration, administrative and educational expenses. Fifth, this paper analyzes information regarding various European states' national educational systems. Information about countries with more fully developed systems, namely Prussia and the Netherlands, is particularly abundant.

<p>大宅壮一文庫は,雑誌の収蔵と雑誌記事索引の作成を主な事業として活動している。ここでは評論家大宅壮一が雑草文庫と呼んでいた時代から振り返り,その成り立ちを紹介する。一般書籍とは異なる雑誌ならではの記事の索引について,大宅壮一の考えを引き継ぎ,当文庫の特徴となる「人名索引」「件名索引」とは何か,利用者のニーズや世相を反映した索引とは何かを紹介する。そして手で繰る索引カードから『雑誌記事索引総目録』刊行という流れ,現在の主流であるインターネット上のWeb OYA-bunkoの検索方法を解説する。</p>

An Italian composer Antonio Salieri composed two problematic operas, Tarare (1787) and Axur, re d'Ormus (1788). The libretto of Tarare is written by French playwrighter Pierre Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais who is famous for his play Le mariage de Figaro, and it challenges the ancient regime with ideas of the Enghlitenment. As this opera became a great success in Paris just before the French Revolution, Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor ordered Salieri to perform Tarare in Italian in Vienna. Salieri commissioned an Italian writer Lorenzo Da Ponte to translate the libretto into Italian and they completed the Italian opera Axur,re d'Ormus. But this Italian version has a lot of differences from the original libretto of Tarare,including its title. Then, what is the meaning of this revision and what factors of socialbackground caused these alterations? This dissertation analyzes these questions through acomparison of social background of Paris and Vienna at that time.

1977年,F. Muradらは生体内における血管内皮由来物質としてのNO(一酸化窒素)の働きを発見し,1998年にはノーベル生理学・医学賞を受賞した.血管内皮やNO作動性神経から放出されたNOは,cGMP(環状グアノシン一リン酸)を産生して平滑筋を弛緩させる.cGMPを分解するPDE(ホスホジエステラーゼ)type5の活性化を抑制するPDE5阻害薬は,平滑筋細胞内cGMP濃度の低下を防ぎ,結果としてNO産生量を増加させる.PDE5阻害薬は,1990年代前半に狭心症治療薬として開発されていたが,陰茎海綿体平滑筋等を弛緩させることでED(勃起不全)に有効であることが認められ,本邦においても1999年にシルデナフィルがED治療薬として承認を受けた.またPDE5阻害薬はPAH(肺動脈性肺高血圧症)治療薬としても臨床応用されており,EDのみならず全身的な血管・血流改善薬の可能性を秘めている.LUTS/BPH(前立腺肥大症に伴う下部尿路症状)に関しては,その相関性について議論されており,共通の発症要因としてのNO-cGMP系の低下が注目されてきた.PDE5は陰茎海綿体のみならず,膀胱,前立腺,尿道をはじめとする下部尿路にも広く分布していることが知られており,PDE5阻害薬の中でタダラフィルは2014年に「BPHに伴う排尿障害」治療薬として本邦においても臨床での使用が開始となった.PDE5阻害薬は膀胱出口部閉塞抑制作用,骨盤内血流改善作用,求心性神経活動抑制作用といった下部尿路に対する作用に加え,抗炎症作用,抗酸化作用,血管内皮保護作用等の多岐に亘る薬理作用を有していることが知られており,本項では第88回日本薬理学会年会シンポジウムで発表した内容を中心に報告する.
