アメリカ文学におけるますキュリニティー研究の成果を摂取しながら、日本史・東洋史、西洋史における母 - 息子関係の比較研究を行った。2006年度に3回、2007年度に5回、2008年度に1回の研究会と合宿発表会を持ち、それぞれの研究成果を発表して討論を行った。2008年には「家長権をめぐる<母>機能の比較史」というタイトルで比較家族史学会に於いてミニシンポジウムを行った。

A 16-year-old spayed female American Shorthair cat was presented with lethargy, anorexia, and wamble. Physical and blood examination did not reveal any remarkable findings. Abdominal ultrasonography identified the presence of a localized anechoic structure with a thick wall in contact with the small intestine and adjacent to the liver. Ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration of the structure revealed fluid containing numerous cocci and neutrophils. Two days after antibiotic treatment, exploratory laparotomy was performed and the content of the structure was removed before multiple lavages. The pathological and bacteriological examination results supported a confirmatory diagnosis of pancreatic abscess due to Staphylococcus aureus infection, making this the first such report in a cat. The cat remained healthy thereafter with no disease recurrence.

In a station square, avoidance behavior happens frequently. In order to create a more comfortable and safe walking space, it is necessary to consider people-to-people avoidance behavior and pedestrian personal space. In this research, we analyzed avoidance behavior by pedestrian pathways and discussed pedestrian personal space through the relative positions of two pedestrians in avoidance behavior. The characteristics of pedestrian avoidance behavior and personal spacewere as follows:<br>1. Pedestrian avoidance behavior has significant differences between moving in the opposite direction and in the same direction.<br>2. The distance of avoidance behavior in the morning is the least.<br>3. Under free walking conditions, the locus of the object's relative position can be considered as the boundary of the subject's personal space.<br>4. Reduce avoidance behavior: a. Give enough spacefor pathways of pedestrians. b. Consider the situation of users.

以下は,"Journal of Chemical Education",Vol.9,No.5,1990.の「挑発的な提言」(〔provocative opinion〕)の欄に掲載されたH.C.Friedmann教授(シカゴ大学,生化学・分子生物学科)の"Fifty-Six Laws of Good Teaching"の翻訳,および岩手大学教育学部・人文社会科学部学生が作った「良い授業のための法則」である。Friedmannの「握言」は短めて示唆に富むものであると同時に,諧謔・逆説・アイロニーをまじえた「挑発的」なものである。この「提言」は,最初,村上によって抄訳され,『鬼胡桃』(岩大教職員組合教育分会機関誌),NO. 68, 1991.に掲載された。駒林は,この訳を下敷きにして完訳した。この試訳を村上が校閲した。訳出にあたって,本学部教官の橋本二郎氏の教示をいただいた。Friedmannの"Laws of Good Teaching"は56の法則であった。駒林は,「法則」をラウンドナンバーの60法則にするように,学生諸君に「法則」を作らせた。それが,「学生が作った,良い授業のための60法則」である。人文社会科学部の「教育課程・方法」受講学生(84人),教育学部の「教育方法」受講学生(108人)に,Friedmannnの「56法則」の翻訳を配付し,若干の説明を加えた上で,次のインストラクションをあたえた。「この56法則は,大学教員のための法則です。ラウンドナンバー60の法則にするために,四つ以内の法則を,学生の立場から作って下さい。来週,集めます。宿題ではありません。出したい人だけが出してくれればよいです。」提出者は,人文社会科学部の39人(延べ,125法則),教育学部学生が37人(延べ,98法則)であった。学生諸君が作った延べ223の「法則」の中から,代表的なものを取り上げた。語句,文体には駒林が大幅に手をいれた。学生が作った「法則」の枠内で補足したところもある。

画像認識を利用したカードゲームシステムとして、絵柄認識によるタロット占い、対人式コミュニケーションにも対応した神経衰弱、インターネット通信によるジャンケンなどが開発されてきた。本研究では、これらの要素を併せ持つ遊戯王カードゲームシステムを、市販のWEBカメラを入力とするPC環境で開発し、高速性と誤認識率を計測した。さらに、リアルカードでのインターネットを介したカードゲーム対戦を実施して、ユーザー評価実験を行った。結果として、リアルカードの絵柄認識によるオンラインカードゲーム対戦を低コストで実現するための、カード枚数の上限、ゲームルールの複雑さ、カードの操作性に関する知見を得た。

我が国は世界一の長寿国である。そのことから認知症の増加に伴い認知症予防の研究や治療が試みられている。昨今、入所施設不足が大きな問題として挙げられているが、家族が介護する理由として、①家族が望んで介護する一つの使命感②経済的理由で施設入所ができない③配偶者の親であるため介護を強いられるなど様々でありこれらに共通することは、介護を担う家族の心身の負担である。家族に一方的に押し付けるのでなく家族の心理的変化を受け止め「認知症の人の理解や接し方の指導などの働きかけ、家族の負担軽減のための自治団体の支援、家族が抱えている悩み、問題の察知-集いなどのへの参加」に加え、負担軽減に繋がるために必要な情報の発信を行うなど看護の果たす役割は大きい。

A novel dual-band miniaturized frequency selective surface adopting fractal elements is proposed. The proposed structure is composed of interconnected four SZ curves of second generation. Such a design is to provide two pass-bands with stable performance, the first band resonates at S-band with a center frequency of 3.02GHz and the second band is at C-band centered at 7.22GHz. In addition, the compact structure employing the space filling curve can further reduce the size of the FSS. The dual-band FSS achieves better miniaturization compared with other single layer FSS in previous literature, the dimension of the unit cell is only 0.072λ×0.072λ, where λ represents the free space wavelength at first resonant frequency. Furthermore, the proposed FSS exhibits great resonance stability for different polarizations and incidence angles. Both the simulation and measurement verify the stable performance of the FSS.

回転をベクトルで表示し,その合成則を考えることは,無限小回転に限り許される.これにより,微小時間dt間の微小回転角dθから定義される角速度ω=dθ/dtはベクトルとなる.ここでは,角速度ωの合成則を斜面上を転がる小球の運動実験から誘導する.また,フーコー振り子の振動面回転の簡単な説明用モデルを考えたので紹介する.
