パーキンソン病(Parkinson disease; PD)の73歳女性が誤嚥性肺炎のため入院し,食事中に嚥下を誘因として徐脈を伴う意識消失が生じた.上部消化管内視鏡検査では食道に器質的病変をみとめず,頸部食道におけるバルーン拡張にて意識消失に至る洞停止と徐脈が生じた.PDに伴う食道蠕動障害による頸部食道の拡張が迷走神経反射を惹起し嚥下性失神(swallow syncope; SS)が生じたと考えた.本例はhead-up tilt試験にて起立性低血圧をみとめ,心電図R-R間隔の変動とHolter心電図検査におけるRR50は正常であった.PDに由来する交感神経機能が低下し副交感神経機能は維持されている心血管系自律神経障害が,本例のSS発症に関与した可能性がある.

シャープレイのラベル法を応用し,3×3以上の双行列を持つ一般の有限ゲームについて, コンピュータによる数値計算により混合戦略まで含めたナッシュ均衡を求めるプログラム を作成したので,報告する。非協力有限ゲームにおいて,混合戦略まで含めたナッシュ均 衡を解析的に求める方法は,2×2の双行列を持つゲームについてはよく知られている。 また,3×3以上のゲームについても,シャープレイによるラベル法が有効とされている。 しかし,ラベル法により均衡を求める手順は煩雑であり,一般の有限ゲームに対して適用 できるわけではない。そこで,ラベル法による手順をコンピュータ上に実装し,数値計算 により3×3の双行列を持つゲームについて,十分に実用的な精度で高速に近似解を求め ることに成功した。この方法を用いれば,さらに4×4以上の大きな双行列をもつゲーム にも利用できる可能性がある。

目的: 健常な日本人が黒ニンニク含有サプリメントを摂取することによる肝機能への有効性を検証すること。試験デザイン: プラセボ対照・二重盲検・ランダム化比較試験。方法: 40名をランダムに2群に割付, 黒ニンニクまたはプラセボを12週間, 摂取させた。摂取前, 6週間後, 12週間後に血液検査 (肝機能, 腎機能, 血糖, 脂質) , 身体測定などを行った。結果: 12週間後の変化量において, 肝機能マーカーであるアラニンアミノトランスフェラーゼ (ALT) は黒ニンニク群のほうが有意に小さい値を示し (p=0.049) , アスパラギン酸アミノトランスフェラーゼ (AST) も黒ニンニク群のほうが小さい傾向を示した (p=0.099) 。結論: 黒ニンニクを12週間摂取することで, 健常日本人に対して肝機能保護作用を示すことが示唆された。本試験はUMINへ登録されている (UMIN000024771) 。

Recently, baseball bats that have kinds of characters have been marketed due to advances in the materials and structure of modern baseball bats. One of remarkable point is a sweet spot in bats. But a sweet spot is sensuous and its point is laxness. So the reason why a sweet spot is approved is researched in this study. First of all, the first node, the second node and center of impact were measured. Next, the ball was made to collide with them and the repulsion coefficients were measured, and compared.

Sidonius' Carmina et Epistulae offers invaluable information about Gaul in the 5th century, which was a theater of progressive transformation from Antiquity into early-medieval German society. The purpose of this article is to consider Sidonius' idea and its metamorphosis in response to the changing realities of those days. This would help us understand the mentality and historical role of the Gallo-Roman aristocracy in this period. Sidonius' idea and its metamorphosis which can be deduced from his works in this article are as follows. His first panegyricus on Western Emperor Avitus, his father-in-law, shows his enthusiasm for "Gallicanism", a spirit he shared with the Gaulish senators. This panegyricus, on the other hand, demonstrates how the adherents of "Gallicanism" railed against the Italian government and senators who placed more emphasis on the defense of Italy than on that of Gaul. The "Gallicanism" that we can see therein never aimed at a separation of Gaul from the Roman Empire. This nature of his "Gallicanism" is also illustrated by the fact that Sidonius did not participate in the plot known as coniuratio Marcelliana. This fact and the dedication of his second panegyricus to Emperor Majorian, who had been an enemy of Avitus, illustrate how Sidonius' "Romanism" could easily overcome his sympathy for "Gallicanism". After Ricimer assassinated Majorian, Sidonius perceived the weakness of the Western Roman Empire evidenced by the expansion of the German tribes and Ricimer's dominance from behind the throne. In his third panegyricus on Emperor Anthemius, his "Romanism" was all the more energetic. Therein, he appealed for cooperation between the Eastern and Western Empires to save the Roman World. Sidonius' poems and letters show his "anti-Germanism". For him, what distinguished the Romans from the Germans was possession of Latin culture. In his mind, Latin literature was the essence of Romanitas, a spiritual link between all members of the nobility, and a scale by which to measure a man's value. At the same time, he encouraged the holding of public offices by the nobility as an opportunity to demonstrate loyalty to the Empire and to reveal "Romanism". For Sidonius, the only imaginable materialization of Romanitas was the Roman Empire, which had guaranteed the political, economic, social, and cultural privileges that he enjoyed as a Roman senator. He had retained, therefore, his loyalty to the Empire and, after being appointed to the bishopric of Clermont-Ferrand, he became a spiritual leader in the Gallo-Roman resistance against the Visigothic siege of Clermont. The result was, however, the cession of Auvergne to the Visigoth, which Sidonius viewed as a barbarous outcome and the ruin of the Roman Empire's last chance to develop into the materialization of Romanitas. From that point on, Sidonius was separated spiritually from the Roman Empire. This, however, never meant that he left behind his ideal of Romanitas completely. While concealing his "anti-Germanism", Sidonius insisted on his Roman spiritual superiority over the Germans. On the one hand, Latin culture became more and more valuable to him as a symbol of Roman nobility. Meanwhile, because of his experiences during the siege of Clermont, Catholicism began to occupy an increasingly important place in Sidonius' "Romanism". After the collapse of the Roman Empire, from Sidonius' point of view, Catholicism became a spiritual anchor which he hoped could sustain German-governed Gaul as a "Roman Gaul". The Catholic church became the sole remaining base of Romanitas. The holding of the episcopate, as a substitute of public office, became a tenet of his "Romanism". 実験1(n=7)において,健康なネコに市販ドライフード(乾物中CP30%)を1日3時間だけ制限給餌した場合,不断給餌に比べて尿量は変わらなかったが排尿頻度(1日当たりの排尿回数)が減少した。給餌方法に関わらず日中の排尿は少なかったが,時間制限の場合は食後の尿pHが著しく上昇した。一方,不断給餌中は1日を通して尿pHは比較的安定していた。実験2(n=12)において,健康なネコに乾物当たりのCP含量が29%,50%および71%のドライフードを不断給与した結果,粗蛋白質含量の増加とともに排尿頻度および尿量が増加し,尿pHは低下した。

Japanese are unique among the peoples of developed count-ries in having a high intake of eicosapentaenoic acid (C 20:5) from fresh fish and this may in part contribute to their low incidence of cardiovas-cular diseases. Mass spectroscopic analyses of eicosapolyenoic acids (C 20:3, C 20:4 and C 20:5) were carried out on the serum of aged persons living on Kohama island in Okinawa and known to have the lowest incidence of cardiovascular diseases in Japan. All but 4 of the 77 persons examined (73.94±7.81 years old) led active fishing-farming lives. The total amount of eicosapolyenoic acids in the serum of persons on Kohama island (46.77±7.46 mg/ 100 ml) was higher (p<0.001) than that in people on mainland Japan, owing to the higher intake of fresh fish (147.7g/day). A positive correlation (p<0.01) was found between serum C 20: 5 concentration (6.82+2.54 mg/100 ml) and high density lipoprotein concentration (55.38±13.83 mg/100 ml). In addition, there were positive correlations (p<0.01) between serum C 20: 3 concentration (6.58+1.61 mg/100 ml) and total cholesterol (188.60±32.30 mg/ 100 ml), and triglyceride and skinfold thickness. The blood pressure level (p<0.01), incidence of abnormal ECG (p<0.05), and salt intake (6.2-8.3g/ day) estimated from urinalysis, were all lower than the average figures for Japanese of similar ages. No persons examined showed Q-wave on ECG. The percentage of smokers and drinkers were similar for Kohama island and mainland Japan.

1990年代後半から、急速な高層マンション建設により都心回帰が起こり、東京の都心部における新規住民流入が著しい。既存住民と新規住民の地域交流における問題は数多く指摘されており、近年は地縁の希薄化などにより町内会の重要性が再認識され始めている。このような背景を踏まえ、人口流入の多い高層マンション集積地において、町内会における新規住民と既存住民の関係性や交流に着目する必要性がある。本研究では、東京23区の主な高層マンション集積地に着目してその特徴を整理し、各町内会が運営する地域活動と既存住民と新規住民の交流の実態を把握する。また、既存住民と新規住民の活発な交流が多数行われている町内会を選定し、コミュニティ構築を促す取組みと体制を明らかにする。以上の2点から、高層マンション集積地における開発と町内会体制の関係性を整理することにより、今後の町内会運営への示唆とする。

中井正一(1900-52)の「委員会の論理」(1936)の「印刷される論理」は現代では抑圧的になるとの鈴木正の指摘がある.しかし「委員会の論理」の「印刷される論理」はソクラテスの外に開かれた弁証法の復活を意図し,「いわれる論理」の双方向性を内包する.大量の複製本が出回ることがかえって多様な解釈による大量の異本を生むビジョンである.しかし回転の速さが重視される現代の出版状況に鑑みると鈴木の懸念は正鵠を射ている.

短乗法(筆算の計算過程で部分積を書かない方法)、長乗法(部分積を書く方法)における計算処理速度の違いが、一桁たし算の繰り上がりの有無とどのように関係しているかについて、処理速度(1問の回答に要した時間を称する。)を測定して発達的に検討した。その結果、繰り上がりのない問題は6年生で短乗法が、繰り上がりのある問題では3年生で長乗法が処理速度は速かった。

目的:自殺行為に関する研究では,主に3つの自殺企図手段分類方法が用いられている。すなわち,国際疾病分類第9版(以下International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision; ICD-9),飛鳥井分類(相対的危険群,絶対的危険群),そして侵襲度分類法(Non-violent群,Violent群)である。本研究は,これらの分類方法の違いが自殺企図手段と精神障害の関係に影響を与えるかを明らかにすることにある。対象と方法:救急搬送例のうち主要5精神障害(うつ病,双極性障害,統合失調症,適応障害,人格障害)と診断された169名を研究対象とした。3つの分類方法に準じた自殺企図手段と精神障害の関連について,対応分析法を用いて解析した。結果:ICD-9分類においては,E953(縊首,絞首,窒息)とうつ病およびE950(固体または液体による中毒)と適応障害は,それぞれ強い関連性があった。E957(高所墜落)は,統合失調症と弱い関係にあった。飛鳥井分類上の相対危険群は精神障害との関連性は弱かったが,絶対危険群は統合失調症と強い関係にあった。侵襲度分類においては,Non-violent群は双極性障害とViolent群は統合失調症とそれぞれ強い関係にあった。結語:自殺企図手段と精神障害の関係は手段分類法によりかなり異なっていた。
