本研究は,信号交差点における安全性と燃費を向上させる運転支援システムについて検討した.現在の速度を維持した場合に,交差点進入時に予想される信号現示を道路上に仮想的に呈示する運転支援システムについて,ドライビングシミュレータ実験により検証した結果,安全性や燃費が向上することを確認した.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a design method of environment-oriented house to optimize natural energy use such as natural ventilation and sun radiation throughout a year, by switching the combinations of several established passive design techniques as ‘Mode’. In this paper, according to the annual record of switching the modes by dweller with the measurement of temperature and energy, the cost of equipped architectural elements, contribution of workload by dweller, and the ratio of saving energy on air conditioning are evaluated as a reference.

[Abstract] The vaccines for COVID-19 have been developed, and vaccination in Japan began on February 17, 2021, starting with doctors and nurses, followed by those aged 65 years and older on April 12, and those aged 18 to 64 years on June 17. In this study, an online survey (CAWI) was conducted in late November 2021 for people aged 15 (excluding junior high school students) to 74. The questions included the month in which they got their first vaccination and how many of their family members, relatives, colleagues, and friends/acquaintances had already been vaccinated at the time of the shot. The data analysis of non-medical/nursing personnel under 64 years of age showed that the higher the rate of vaccinated people in the workplace or that of vaccinated friends/acquaintances, the later the timing of vaccination. I.e., peer pressure occurred in such a way to avoid taking a shot; the more people around the person got vaccinated, the later in the timing of vaccination the focal person was.

陥没骨折の整復には,通常鋼線が使用される.しかし,多数の骨片よりなる複雑な陥没骨折の場合,骨片の歪み,粉砕による骨量の減少のため,通常の鋼線による固定では,外観に凹凸を生じたり,十分な強度が得られない場合がある.今回われわれは,多数の骨片よりなった複雑な陥没骨折の2症例に対して,チタンミニプレートを用い良好な頭蓋骨形成が得られたので報告した.術後プレート局囲の炎症反応もなく,また,術後のCT,MRIでのアーチファクトも少なく,読影に支障はなかった.

地球温暖化は確実に進行している事実であり、今後の環境に適応する生物生産システムを開発することが人類にとって重要な課題である。本項では現在、著者がアフリカのスーダン共和国で進めている高温・乾燥耐性コムギの育種研究プロジェクトを例として、その背景、プロジェクトの内容および課題について解説する。

「透明感」は女性が憧れる肌質の重要な要素の一つであるが,その測定方法や評価基準は統一されておらず,限られた評価者の主観による評価に頼らざるを得ないという状況がある.そこで本研究では,幅広い評価者の感覚を数値化することで客観的に評価できる手法の開発に着手した. はじめに,同一の条件で作成した肌画像に対し,一般評価者の女性80名により,透明感の目視評価スコアを7段階で付与した.次に,それらの肌画像を解析してL* a* b*値及び輝度等の色情報を取得し,目視評価スコアと色情報の相関関係を解析した.最後に,重回帰分析により,透明感の目視評価スコアを最も精度高く再現できる色情報の組み合わせを検討した. その結果,目視評価スコアは,肌画像の輝度と極めて高い相関性を示すことが分かった.さらに,b*値のSDを加味することで,「透明感」をより精度高く予測できる式を導き出した.b*値のSDは,色ムラと解釈できることから,人が感じる「透明感のある肌」とは,輝度が高く,色ムラが小さい肌であることと結論付けることが出来た.今後はこの予測式を用いることで,「肌の透明感」を数値的に評価することが出来るようになった.

Elderly people are likely to need to urinate more often than in their youth, and thus may encounter the difficult situation of searching for a restroom at inopportune moments. We are researching and developing a system that will allow elderly people who need to urinate frequently to time their trips to the bathroom to accommodate the schedules of their outings. Our proposed system calculates the intervals between urinations based upon the person's schedule and hydration levels, and recommends using the restroom well before the person feels the urge to urinate. In order to implement the system, we have devised a physiological formula for estimation a person's hydration levels through non-invasive means. Based on this estimate, we can then calculate the time between bathroom breaks. In this paper, we describe our system and show experimental results for these calculations.

機能的自立度評価法(FIM)を用いて,脳血管障害患者190例の入院・退院時のADL評価を行った.項目別自立度により運動,認知項目の難易度パターンを調べ,Rasch分析により運動,認知項目の合計点別に各項目の点数分布を分析した.運動項目では,難易度パターンは入院・退院時とも同様であり,損傷病巣側,年齢による差もなかった.認知項目では損傷病巣側により差がみられた.痴呆は難易度パターンに影響を与えていた.また,Rasch分析により,運動項目は合計点別に50点未満の介助群から80点台後半の応用歩行自立群までの5つのグループに分けられた.一方,認知項目では症例の一元性に問題があり,Rasch分析以外の解析手法を検討すべきであると思われた.

ギラン・バレー症候群(以下GBS)は,急速に進行する四肢筋力低下を主症状とするニューロパチーである.一般的にGBSの治療については,単純全血漿交換(以下PE)や免疫グロブリン大量療法(以下IVIg,400mg/kg/日×5日間)が推奨されており,その効果は同等とされている.しかし,維持透析患者に合併する症例数は少なく治療方針についても一定の見解が得られていない.われわれは,GBSと診断された維持透析患者4症例を経験した.2症例に対しては,第一選択で施行したIVIgで効果がなく,PEを施行したところ,施行直後より筋力の改善を認めた.残りの2症例ではPEを第一選択とした.4症例ともにPE施行後順調な経過をたどった.維持透析患者のGBSの治療にはIVIgよりPEが有効であると考えられる.

In the study reported here, the operational characteristics of a human-gearshift lever system were experimentally analyzed in consideration of the mechanical properties of the human arm and related effects on muscle activity. The results highlighted three points in particular: (1) It is possible to determine positioning that facilitates operation as well as the operational direction of the gearshift lever based on force manipulability in consideration of human joint-torque characteristics; (2) subjects feel that handling is easier when arm muscle activities in push and pull operations are almost equal during translational lever movement; and (3) the gearshift lever operation speed and the force-stroke characteristics have a very significant effect on whether operation is favorable or poor. Comprehensive consideration of these results is expected to be useful in the design of a human-vehicle gearshift lever system.

This study examined how local public experiment and research institutes before World War II impacted the modernization of regional industries. It also analyzed engineers who flourished through the career and activities of Toshiharu Sugawara, the leader of the Industrial Training School of Ehime Prefecture and the Dyeing and Weaving Institute of Ehime Prefecture. To this end, this study focused on the towel industry in Imabari. The findings revealed that the establishment of a school system to cultivate engineers in the Meiji and Taisho Eras, the activities of low- and middle-ranking officials who studied at those schools, and the establishment of local public experiment and research institutes played an important role in the technological and human resource development of local light industries. As shown in the case of Toshiharu Sugawara, who became an official after studying spinning technology at Tokyo Higher Technical School, engineers engaged in technological and human resource development greatly contributed to the activities of local public experiment and research institutes before World War II. Because of the development and improvement of towel weaving machines and the cultivation of towel manufacturers by Toshiharu Sugawara, the Imabari area, which had held a subordinate position in towel manufacturing before World War II, became Japan’s top towel-producing district.

コロナ禍は場所に依存しないリモートワークを急速に普及させ,更にオフィスの地方移転やワーケーションのような働く場所の地方分散を促進させた.これにより通信のエンドポイントをつなぐ地方の通信設備維持の重要性も大きくなっている.しかし,近年の人手不足の事情もあり,通信インフラ事業者では現地での物理的な作業が必要なケースでは遠方の拠点から技術者を派遣する形態が一般的になっており,オンライン監視でサポートできない物理異常の発見方法がサービス品質維持のために重要である.この課題に対して,我々はマシンルーム環境の監視を目的にセンサとアクチュエータを搭載した汎用ベースロボットによって,その解決を試みる.この論文ではまず地方の通信設備における労働力と物理異常検知の課題を述べ,その維持管理業務をサポートするための新たなベースロボットシステムを提案する.そしてこのコンセプトを実証するためのプロトタイプロボットを実装し,その予備実験結果を示す.

本研究では,人型コミュニケーションロボットが,一人暮らしの高齢者との自然会話を基に認知症の予兆検知を行い,認知症の疑いがあれば,ソーシャルメディアを介して離れて暮らす家族やソーシャルワーカ等に通知する認知症予兆発見システムを開発した.著者らは,これまで,スマホが使えない高齢者とLINEを介した双方向のコミュニケーションが可能なソーシャルメディア仲介ロボットを開発した.本研究では,本ロボットに,“認知症予兆発見方式”を追加することで認知症予兆発見システムを実現した.認知症予兆発見方式では,臨床的に信頼性が高い改定長谷川式簡易知能評価スケール(HDS-R)から自然会話シナリオを生成し,シナリオに基づくロボットと高齢者との対面会話による認知度の自動スコアリングが特徴である.本システムは,高齢者に相対する人型コミュニケーションロボットと全体を制御するクラウドサービスから構成されている.開発したプロトタイプシステムを用いた高齢者に対する評価実験により,従来の医師が実施する認知症診断結果と本システムによる評価結果を比較することで,本システムの有効性を明らかにした.

The Tokai Atomic Power Station is the first nuclear power station in Japan for practical use with the maximum electrical power output of 166 MW imported from the General Electric Power Co. of U.K., and is now under construction by the Japan Atomic Power Co. at Tokai-mura, Ibaraki Prefecture, with its commercial operation scheduled for commencement in April 1965. The Station is the one what is called “Advanced Calder Hall Type”, with hollow-type fuel composed of natural uranium, graphite moderated and CO2 gas cooled reactor.

非公開のものも含め軍記物語関連の史料・伝本・絵画資料などの調査を、4年間に36回行った。これまで個別に調査されていた資料相互の比較対照によって判明したことも多い。それらの成果は公開研究会・シンポジウム・講演会での議論を加えて、HPや冊子体の報告書などで発信してきた。また情報量の多いテキストである源平盛衰記の内容を、把握しやすい年表の形式に再編成し、平成26年度中に公刊する予定で作業を進めている。
