中枢気道を狭窄ないし閉塞する肺癌切除不能例11例に対して内視鏡下に腫瘍内エタノール注入療法を考案し, その組織固定および止血効果につき臨床的ならびに基礎的検討を行ない, 以下の結果を得た。(1)腫瘍内へ99.5%エタノール注入後は速やかに腫瘍は淡赤白色に固定され, 内視鏡的にやや縮小傾向を示し, さらに出血例では高い止血効果が認められた。注入数日後には腫瘍は壊死に陥っており, 壊死組織内には病理組織学的に生腫瘍細胞はみられなかった。(2)気道内ポリープ状突出腫瘍に対しては本法は極めてよい適応と考えられるが, 壁外腫瘍に対してはその効果はあまり期待できないものと思われた。(3)筋弛緩剤投与下に行なった動物実験による検討では, 中枢気道壁内への99.5%エタノール投与は明らかなPaO_2の低下を示さなかったが, 肺胞内へのエタノールの流入は出血性肺炎を惹起し, PaO_2を有意に低下させた。(4)局所麻酔下に行なう臨床例においては, 腫瘍外に流出した少量のエタノールの一時的な咳嗽発作の惹起をみたのみで, 肺炎, 低酸素血症等の重篤な副作用は全くみられなかった。(5)生化学的検索でもエタノール注入は臨床的にも, また基礎的にも明らかな異常所見は示さなかった。(6)結論として, 腫瘍内エタノール注入療法は適応を選べば, 中枢気道の腫瘍性病変に対して有効な内視鏡下治療の一手段と考える。

ダクト開口部からの放射音の能動制御において長手軸方向のモードだけを考慮するときの制御音源の設置位置と放射特性について考察する. 波長を考えると点音源とみなせる制御音源から放射される音響波の波面がダクト断面で平面波となる条件をシミュレーションで求め, 実験と比較する. シミュレーションでは制御音源位置に湧き出し点を仮定して, ダクト壁面に沿ってポテンシャル流が存在するようにダクト壁面に垂直な軸上に無限個の湧き出し点を想定して, ポテンシャル流を求める. そして湧き出し流が平面波状になる位置を求めて実験で求めた断面方向の音圧分布の軸方向分布と比較する. さらに制御音源として通常用いられる動電型のスピーカの音響特性である伝達関数を電気系も含めてモデル化して実験と比較する. これにより本手法の有効性を確認し, 制御要素を含めた能動騒音制御の制御効果の予想が可能となるようにする.

Illusions sometimes give us the keys to understand the mechanisms of the visual information processing. But, the mechanisms of the brightness illusions, for example the Mach band of the Craik-O'Brien effect, are not clear yet. In this paper, the role of the filling-in process on the brightness perception is explained. Its computational theory is discussed. And a neural network model of the filling-in process on the brightness perception is constructed based on the computational theory. Some properties of the Mach band and the Craik-O'Brien effect are simulated with the model, and its behavior is similar to some psychological experiment results.

次世代のマルチメディア移動通信において 20〜30Mbps の高速伝送を実現するためには、マルチパスフェージングによるデータ品質劣化を回避する手段がポイントとなる。かかる手段として今回、信号推定能力と演算規模のバランスを重視し、かつ 24Mbps の高速処理が可能な遅延判定帰還型信号推定器 ( DDFSE : Delayed Decision Feedback Sequence Estimator) を試作し、これを無線モデムに搭載し評価したのでたので、その評価結果について報告する。

The contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR.) is often used to evaluate magnetic resonance images, because it has two components, contrast and SNR, and indicates the detectability of clinical lesions. Two methods (using a phantom and using clinical images) are employed to measure CNR. In addition, there are some methods of measurement that use clinical images. In this report, the accuracy of measurement and correlation for signal detectability were evaluated in four methods of measuring CNR using clinical images. The results indicated that the inter-tissue method using an air signal provided good accuracy and was consistent with signal detectability using observer performance. In addition, a small region of interest (ROI) was better suited as the target for CNR measurement using clinical images.

To examine how rapidly, and to what extent, humans obtain sufficient information for searching during fixation, we experimented with visual search by masking the subject's central vision at various onsets and sizes after he had fixated there. The subjects counted circles embedded in distractors. From the results, we learned that, in an area of 4.2 degrees, sufficient visual information could be acquired in 33 ms. The oculomotor control system was not affected by masking. The distribution of the fixation duration varied according to the onset of masking. suggesting that eye movements were quickened by the masking of central vision, and saccades occurred about 130 ms after at the onset of masking.

The effects on the cholesterol and fatty acid contents of eggs by the usual cooking procedures were investigated. Both contents were not significantly reduced by wet-cooking procedures such as boiling, poaching, pot-steaming, and making into egg soup. With the dry-cooking procedures, omelet using beaten eggs absorbed cooking oil, while frying and deep-frying, not using beaten eggs, significantly reduced the cholesterol inside the egg yolk membrane. In doughnuts, the efflux of cholesterol from the egg to the cooking oil was at least 32%. These results suggest that nutritional education/management focusing on the cholesterol content of egg dishes is important.

本研究は,キーボード入力を用いた日本語入力変換候補の表示形式に着目する.日本語入力や中国語入力は英語入力と異なり,漢字変換という操作が必要である.変換候補一覧の表示形式が変換候補のアプリケーションによって異なっている.また,候補一覧から対象文字を選択する方法も違っている.そこで,本論文では,4種類の表示形式(「縦」「横」「短横」と「表」)と6種類の選択方法(マウス,数字キー,スペースキー,カーソルとマウス,および上記の任意組み合わせ)を用いて漢字入力実験を行った.その結果,変換候補一覧が表示されてから候補を決定するまでの時間が入力プロセスのなかで最もかかること,単字入力においては「表」と「短横」表示が良いということが分かった.

Electron condtrction in one-dinaaensional systetn is investigated explicitly taking into accountthe reservoirs to which 10 channel is connected at its ends. We calculate the ctrrrent driven bythe cheznical potential difference of two reservoirs, trsing the linear response theory by Kubo. AtOK, the conductance of 10 channel is expressed in terrns of one-electron Green's ftrnctions evenin the presence of the interaction, in contrast to the theory based on Ktrbo forrntrla, in whichtwo-electron Green's functions are essentially involved. The fornaalisna in this paper providesa new interpretation of' Landauer forratula. As regards the interaction ef['ects, the conductanceof Feruni liqtrid without potential scattering is 2e'/ h, while that of' Tornonaga-Luttinger liquiddeceases wuth power low as the length of' ID channel increases.
